Good morning, I needed to order bagels for H's party so I picked some up for work too which means I am the current favorite lol. I had a moment this morning when I looked at H and thought wow, look at what we did, he's ours. I think the impending first birthday feels are hitting hard.

It’s cold here today. DD2 just woke up at 845am (the sorcery) and of course we have to be at daycare at 9:30 for her trial run.
I’m supposed to be getting a call from the OR this afternoon/evening for my surgery time tomorrow.

Ugh. I'm here. Why are short weeks always the longest? We had a tough night last night. E was up at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, and then 1:00. At 1:00 I tapped out and left him in the care of my H. I actually had not gone to sleep yet because we had lost our power AGAIN at 11:00 and N woke up frightened. I was exhausted and went to sleep on the couch. The power came back on a little after 1 and the next thing my H WOKE ME UP AT 2:30. I was like, DUDE! Apparently, E was giving him a hard time and he needed my help. I told him he was his father and to FIGURE IT OUT. Why are men such babies about losing sleep? Apparently, it's ok for me to be up until 1:00 but he can't handle being up for 1.5 hours in the night. Ok, vent over. Good luck today and tomorrow snuff9861. Happy birthday, baby N cdnfarmgirl!

Good morning! It’s my day off and I have so much cleaning/laundry to do. The boys have swimming lessons tonight. They both LOVE it but it’s such a PITA, especially now that it’s getting cold.

I got a new phone yesterday. Switched from iPhone to android- there's a learning curve for sure but so far I like it! The deal was just too good to stay loyal to Apple for 😁

Is the week over yet?
Gianna caught the stomach bug I had over the weekend so Monday night I was woken up by her throwing up all over our bed. Yay. I stayed home from work yesterday to take care of her so no one else would have to clean up throw up, and thankfully she slept most of the day. So that meant some quality time with the babies. My SIL still came to help watch them though. It's so nice having another set of hands to help. Last week they started taking more than one step and yesterday Paris really started getting farther. I can't believe how big they are! I'm going to miss watch them crawl around together like little partners in crime, it's so precious. They always try to sneak off to the bedrooms and Paris thinks it's hilarious to crawl super fast away from us like we're chasing her. I feel so sentimental about them turning one next month. It's all just gone by so quickly this time.
Anyways. I need to go get their party invites printed tonight and mail them out tomorrow if I can power through addressing them tonight. Tomorrow or Friday is probably more realistic though.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to have a dentist appointment in the morning but they left my H a message so I think they might want to reschedule. I was hoping to have that excuse to work from home so that I could also drop Gianna off at preschool and help out with her Thanksgiving party for a bit. So I'm dragging my feet on calling the dentist back LOL.

snuff9861 Hope the surgery goes well tomorrow! sarahandben108 Sorry about the rough night! My H isn't good at MOTN wakeups either. He's a very task oriented person. So when they were little would need a diaper change and to be fed he was great, change a diaper, hand her off to feed and then re-swaddle and put back in the cosleeper. But like last night Siena woke up crying and he couldn't settle her was getting frustrated and then it woke Paris up he's all, "Great, look what you did! You woke your sister up!" LOL I was like, Babe don't blame her like that, she's a baby, she didn't do it on purpose. Hand her over buddy! And then I just cuddled her and attempted to sleep with her on top of me the rest of the night because she had a slight fever and just didn't want to be put down. At least he tries I guess, but I wish he wasn't such a grump in the MOTN!

Hey! The big kids woke up and wanted to make N bday pancakes complete with a candle so we did that today. Dropped DD off at preschool and I went and did my grocery shopping for his party.
Now we are chilling until time to get DD and thena relaxing day. DH is gone this evening so we are going to celebrate tomorrow. Lol. Whatever. He’s 1. He won’t notice.

Ds2's official first word is nana, as in banana. Ds1's first words were food related too 😂

Which is why they often say dada first. Don't take it personally.

Siena has been saying Hi Dada when he comes home for a while now too, it’s the sweetest! And I swear they both used to make Muh-Muh sounds, but not anymore 😢. Gianna said Mama way before Dada though so at least I got one of them! Siena also started saying “Up & Down” last week. We have a play microphone that sings the wheels on the bus and they love it, so that’s where she got it from, it’s pretty funny though!

Good luck tomorrow, snuff9861! Happy Birthday, N! ( cdnfarmgirl) N is making progress with actual solid food! DC is helping out - he's finally eating puffs, goldfish (crushed up, obvs), and yogurt melts - oh boy does he like yogurt melts. He also tried some strawberry over the weekend... did OK, but it was definitely harder for him to pick up. He had some actual yogurt yesterday too. I feel bad he's so behind on the solid food thing, but I feel like now that we've got it started, he's going to catch up fast. Just wait until next week, kiddo - if you're anything like your parents, mashed potatoes are about to become your jam. "Dada" was definitely N's first word (on my birthday no less). Now over 3mo later he's finally saying "mama" on a regular basis. I am officially student debt free today! Only took 15 years...:/
