slenle I'm typically not a huge grey person, but I like that with your walls/carpet better than the one you brought home. I know Wayfair sometimes does fabric samples, is this one of the ones they offer? Did y'all end up doing Revere Pewter? LMK and I will dig out my paint samples and hold it up to the screen, lol.

eta:I think pulling in some solid and patterned pillows with the more neutral/greige tones you have going on would might nicely with the grey. Maybe introduce an accent color -- smokey blue or even blush?

slenle I’m leaning towards it’ll work. Once you get pictures up, decorating done, and add some throw pillows and blankets I think it’ll break up the neutrality.

When I googled searched it looks like a nice light blue really breaks up the brown colour.

It’s B’s birthday party day! Everything is pretty much ready to go and the party isn’t until 3:30pm, but I’m feeling annoyed this morning. I need to shake it because it’s supposed to be a fun day.

eta: what color family did you have in mind originally? Something lighter, or darker?

lfig that's how most of my pants fit! I cuff a lot of jeans and wear with sneakers or booties. Cropped pants are always in, right?! Also great with tall boots bc length doesn't matter.

Somehow me, j, and n ended up in the toddler bed this morning. J stalks me MOTN, like follows me around. I escaped to Barre and now am off to pick up some uggs I found for Nora for $10, score. Just realized that both kids need to skip swim bc J's cut needs to be kept moist to prevent scarring and n is so snotty. We are (well maybe j and I) are headed to a friend's party later, they bring a pizza truck and have a football game before hand.

Oh and have we discussed the Netflix show "I'm sorry" - it's funny! About snarky mom life and a little crass.

We are headed to a party in an hour. It’s at a Chuck E. Cheese type place. Later I want to go shopping for some holiday decor. It’s also fairly nice so I’d like to get C outside.

C gets up on his own now in the morning which is great because Dh and I can sleep. Only problem is he gets his own breakfast which today was two donuts, pepperoni and Cheetos. He also poured his own milk from a full jug without spilling, which I was impressed with. Not impressed with the junk food breakfast but it’s still worth sleeping until 8:30.

Its 14 degrees out. This doesn't happen in WA. It sounds downright cozy compared to your weather though cheeksmum.

It's cold, I don't have a car, and there's nothing to do here. I already did an extra long workout and am currently in the bath. At some point I'll take the shuttle to the grocery store because I'm running out of food. 1 week down, 1 to go.

I read an article about a flight attendant who breast fed for a mom who ran out of formula. In the comments some dude asked if any woman can do this and this was one of the replies:



😮😮 if my MiL whipped out her boob to my kid I would have serious issues with that. Especially since she wasn't lactating and it's not like the baby was only used to the boob since he drank formula. Gross.

This one also looks very comfy and is slipcovered so you could wash it if you wanted to.

Ditto. I only have a few hunters on my FB. The one who posts his kills all the time has been unfollowed. It's not a cheap hobby either so the stereotype that poor people hunt to feed their families makes me eye roll. I get it that meat from the grocery store doesn't magically appear there, but I don't need to see dead animals.

So bizarre.

I remember reading an advice column along these lines. I think Grandma was staying with them and the baby woke up overnight crying and when Mom got to the nursery, found MIL had gotten the baby out of the crib and was "nursing" him. WTF. Grandma could not figure out why Mom was pissed and refused to apologize.

There was an incident with my MiL being inappropriate with Madison when she was about 2 in regards to boobs and that was enough to set me off.

Good morning! We’re at baseball and I’m nursing a wicked hangover. A mom friend texted me at like 9:30 last night and asked if I wanted to meet at the park next to our houses and have a beer. Well.... that turned into several and I didn’t come home till 11:30! I’m struggling this morning.

I'm at chipotle, enjoying lunch by myself. Then going for a manicure. I have the best husband. Especially since this is his birthday weekend.. and because I'm still sick he wont get birthday sex.. poor guy.

Ok, so it wasn't really a scavenger hunt. Basically there was a table in the toy Dept. and they handed out pencils and Chapsticks. They had an exclusive pet you could buy and that was basically it. There was another table up front handing out prizes every 30 minutes, but Cadence was over it pretty quickly. She was thinking they would be looking for toys all over the store like an easter egg hunt.

Preschool drama:

We went to a bday party for one of Cs friends. A girl was there I’ve never met or seen. Let’s call her E. C and E were insane together. Like hugging, hitting, running, screaming, and she kissed C like three times on the lips. She was very similar personality to C and they were just revving each other up. I couldn’t even figure out who her parent was for a while but basically I was trying to control them unsuccessfully.

Anyway, there was this animatronic bear singing show and C and E said “I hate the bears” super loudly. The birthday boy D breaks down in tears and says he hates C. They are both fighting yelling each other. Both in tears. Everyone watching. Me and the bday boys parents try to stop it from coming to blows. After everyone cools off and we are able to break the C and E duo, D and C become friends again. Lots of hugs and I love you’s when we leave.

It was embarrassing and I spoke to D’s mom and she was great. We talked about how these boys have so much drama. Turns out D says E is his girlfriend and he was upset with her kissing C. It’s like preschool soap operas. I’m still dumbfounded. C later told me E is his girlfriend now. He had another girlfriend, S, who was also there but apparently their relationship has fizzled. 😐

Tl;dr: my son is in a preschool love triangle

Bought A a bottle of rare bourbon for his birthday. I sent my bil a picture to confirm I did good and now hes hounding me about my bourbon source.. lips are sealed! Hes the only guy that can get me rare stuff and I need the edge on holidays lol.
