Thanks! I will check it out. My mom got a very basic Shark for their vacation house, and I liked how lightweight it was. That was one reason I'm interested in the brand. Thanks mwhip , I will look into the Dysons. I probably should--leave no stone unturned and all that--I just hate the idea of spending quite that much. If you can wait a month there will probably be lots of Black Friday and Christmas sales. Ooh, good idea! We don't have that much carpet (but what we have I vacuum A LOT), maybe we could nurse it along. Bed Bath & Beyond is doing 25% off for military on Veteran's Day, but I know they have a lot of brand restrictions. I need to check and see what's excluded. |

Happy Halloween! I’m sitting outside a nursing home waiting for Hs daycare can to pull up. They were supposed to be here at 10, but nothing yet. I called daycare and they were still getting ready so I quick ran to target and am back and still waiting. I don’t think I’ll be getting much work done today. Quoting myself... apparently when i ran to target I missed the first van get dropped off. So when they came with the second group, H was already done.... and i had just been sitting in the car. They let him go again so I could see him, but I didn’t want him to notice I was there so then of course he was mad when I left. That was a major waste of an hour. Ugh. But i got cough medicine at target so hopefully the 10lb weight gets lifted off my chest soon. I’ve never had a cold be so concentrated in my chest and not at all in my head/sinuses. It hurts and I barely slept last night. |

It hurts and I barely slept last night. You may have pneumonia! I got walking pneumonia last year. I had no clue at first. I just had that same feeling though of weight on my chest. I was very uncomfortable. I told MH that it felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. It hurt to take deep breaths. He and one of the other LE guys who was also a paramedic took my BP and checked a bunch of stuff. I got all emotional and started crying for what seemed like no apparent reason. So we came to the determination that it was anxiety. I went to the dr that afternoon to see about upping my anxiety med dose and I had a 103.5* fever. She sent me for a chest xray and then called me later and said it was walking pneumonia. |

slenle, sure it isn't bronchitis? Are you coughing at all? I guess it could be. I cough a lot at night and not as much throughout the day. But it’s a dry cough. |

lfig, interesting! I sure hope it’s not. I don’t think I have a fever and feel normal otherwise. But it started at the end of lasts week and it’s definitely worse today

My boss is "working" on our annual performance evaluations. He wants us to give him a list of our accomplishments over the past year. I hate bragging on myself! This is sooooo hard! Plus, I don't remember what I did last week, let alone over the past year! I should start keeping a running list of this stuff. Do you guys have to do this sort of thing, is it normal? Or is my boss just taking the easy way out and making me basically write my own performance appraisal? I have a list of goals to accomplish at each review. So I keep track of them to point out at the next review. I currently have 2 curled up posts its on my desk that I need to enter into a spreadsheet. My last job, I kept track of savings as well. So I feel like this is normal, at least for my specific job. |

Someone in our neighborhood is asking on the nextdoor app if our neighborhood can postpone Halloween. Um, that's not the way it works. Yes, it's supposed to rain, but that's what umbrellas are for. Plus, the main rain is supposed to be this morning and afternoon. Hopefully. My response was, I have a small child too, we will be TOT tonight. She'll be dressed as Ariel though, and mermaids love water. IN other words, I'm a snarky ass bitch.  I saw on FB that some areas switched TOT to last night since tonight was supposed to be rainy (I think this was in Indiana). I'd never seen that before. Our neighborhood switched back in 2011 (and I think in 2012 as well) the first year we had a freak snowstorm on Halloween day and the second year was hurricane Sandy, and so valid reasons. |

Apparently, there is a petition going around to make Halloween a floating holiday. It would be the last Saturday of October, whether it was the 31st or not. I'd LOVE for it to be a Fri or Sat every year! Same! |

I bet when you were growing up you never thought you would have a vacuum goal! #adulting Lol. My real goal is to have a housekeeper but since that’s probably never going to happen, this will work. Tillie’s shedding was out of control — The cleaning lady came once a week and I used the vacuum every day and I would still find hair everywhere! |

jewels Can you get the video he wants on youtube kids? Maybe it's time to download that app. I do have YouTube kids. Sometimes there are more/better videos on YouTube I will definitely be doing a better job monitoring from here on out. |

I have heard reports of inappropriate content getting slipped into kids stuff on YouTube. We only use it for random music videos really. I am hoping he never discovers the kids opening toys videos. Also target has a page of their toy catalog with YouTube stars and their toy pix....kids these days.

mwhip I have seat protectors in my pilot (leather seats) wedding we always leave a bowl of candy on the front porch. I also leave a sign that says “please take one” and the. Underneath “smile! You’re on camera!” Totally not true, buts it worked the last three years from kids stealing my bowl! flamingo I have a shark and I like it! Happy Halloween!!! Dh took today off so he’s getting yard work done and I ran out and got us candy and beer for tonight and am now catching up on dvr. We’re going to go out to lunch after we take ry to school and then start getting ready for tonight! I can’t believe it is Halloween.... and thanksgiving is in three weeks! Also, weather related, the last few years it has been hot still trick or treating and I think we will be in the 70s tonight, so perfect weather!

Yep, I've noticed the YouTube ads in between kids stuff (like Blippi and similar) can be really violent...previews for movies/videogames, etc. Usually B goes, "Mom, this is NOT for kids" in kind of a scolding tone. Thanks, dude.
