How do we feel about The Craft remake? They say it's suppose to be a 20years later type of think. So more of a sequel. I never really found it scary. Teenage jftb was all like, "YOU GUYS! WE NEED TO CALL THE CORNERS!" It fell more along the lines of other teen movies I was obsessed with at the time. Having said that, I'd get pissed if any of those movies were remade. I lump into the "horror" umbrella because of the occult content. But it's such a good occult movie.

I am so happy I found this thread. I loveee scary stuff. Can't do the gory, slasher type movies though.
Anyone ever watch "A haunting"? It's usually on Discovery I think. It's true stories that people are telling of paranormal experiences they've had. Some of the acting is pretty bad, but to this day if it's on TV I have to watch it.

I saw it with my brother and I became fascinated with becoming a witch. I'm not religious, but I have always been interested in the occult stuff and I'm always so fascinated by it all.

I will have to come back later and read the whole thread. I love scary movies. All kinds. I have scary movie nights with my nieces and sister and whatever friends they bring over. I haven't been great about watching lately but that's because I haven't been watching much TV or movies at all.
I LOVE haunted houses and would freaking kill to go on a real haunted house tour. I have been obsessed with ghosts since I was a kid, I saw one when I was 8 and no one can convince me I didn't. I've had multiple experiences but I don't pretend to know if they were truly ghost shit or just something that I can't explain. I could sit around and tell real ghost stories for hours.
I used to spend HOURS on the computer when my first was a baby looking at real ghost pictures, like many many hours, lol. I like all of the ghost tv shows but again don't watch a lot now.

I loved the different way they told the story, and it was very creepy. I'm not really excited about the next season, but we'll see. I just don't want it to become all about conspiracies like Scandal or something.

It wasn't just creepy themed. It had scary elements. I really really liked it.

I have found my people. I love scary movies. I DVR tons of movies during the month of October and really the only kind I just can't do are aliens (irrational fear).
Some of my favorite movies are the Halloweens, The Strangers (SO freaking scary), No Vacancy (similar to strangers), the first saw, the original Psycho, pretty much any thing from the 80s. I could go on and on. I even like super cheesy ones like Scream and whatnot.
I always love reading stories of creepy things people have experienced, but have to admit sometimes I do not sleep well after doing so. I just never learn my lesson though.

My peeps! I love horror movies involving the supernatural, like The Shining, The Ring, The Witch, and The Babadook. ( I even like some movies that don't have a 2-word title beginning with "The"). I also like psychological thrillers. I don't like torture movies though, and I'm not that into slasher films.
The best horror film I watched recently was Get Out. Not so much scary, but so well done.

The Craft peaked with the scene where they were all walking down the hall in slow-motion looking badass with How Soon Is Now? playing. Like the movie should probably have been just that scene.

I like a ton of horror movies but have a tough time with some possession movies. Saying that though the Exorcist is one of my top 5 favorites. I also love the descent, rec, Halloween, the witch, and lots more. The conjuring 2 scared the hell out of me.

{Movie Spoiler} Goats, man. ::shudder:: I'll never look at them the same way again. That scene in the barn where the witch was having a little drink...Ugh!!

I get why the Hollywood powers that be would want to make a Craft remake, but it bums me out. Leave my 8th grade teen angst alone!!
Fun fact: my BFF and I did a "seance" in her driveway at a sleepover after watching that movie for the 800th time and made a "magic" spiral design out of nail polish on the asphalt.
That was 20 (!) years ago and the magic spiral is still there. Her parents were (are?) PISSED
