A good one to watch is Midnight Meat Train. So good. I also really like The Bone Collector and Copy Cat. I saw it! Yeah it was good. Gory, but it's expected. But I loved the bone collector!

I'm not huge on horror movies but I fucking love ghost story threads. Love ghost stories but when I was on maternity leave this last fall, I had to avoid all scary things during Halloween because being up with the baby in the middle of the night and thinking of ghost stories was seriously fucking with me.

Oh no! I always end up reading those buzzfeed compilations of scary shit in the middle of the night. WHY DO I DO THAT TO MYSELF?

Stumbled into this thread. I love anything scary, paranormal, unsolved mysteries etc. Not a huge fan of gore horror though.
Daft ghosthunting shows like Most Haunted are my guilty pleasure.
Anyone here read the Fortean Times? I feel like it's basically where people shared creepy stories & oddities pre-reddit.

And now I'm spiralling on creepy Reddit stories, beer in hand. Much laundry is being neglected currently.

The scariest shit to me, is when someone is in the house but doesn't do anything. Like the Japanese guy that set up a camera in his house because stuff was missing and found out a woman had been living in his wall vent for a year. Nofuckingthanks

I know a guy who bought a house and he and his wife would go to work and stuff would be moved around or missing. Like, "Why did you eat that frozen pizza today?" "I didn't eat it I thought you did?" Fast forward a few months and the wife takes a sick day, walks out of her bedroom and there is a random dude standing in her living room. Apparently some dude had been breaking into their house everyday eating their stuff, watching their tv, etc. He ran out the door and she called the cops. I *think* they caught him but I'm not totally sure. They sold that place not long after.

When i was living at my parents I caught a peeping Tom staring into my room. I was laying down in my bed on my iPad and saw a shadow on our outside wall. I got up quietly to investigate. I made my way towards my window only to see a dude there smiling. I yelled "I'm calling the cops. Get out of here" and he left. I told my dad and he went around the house looking for him. It was night so it's hard to really see. So anyway, we thought he left but then we hear my mom scream. Apparently, she was in her room and heard a noise outside her window and thought it was my dad, but when she went towards the window she saw the dude.
I covered my window for a long time after that.

That's creep AF miawallace. My middle school BFF said she had a peeping tom once. This is in the country so dude would have had to walk a ways. I was always so fucking creeped out when I spent the night there.

The area where the Mothman is from is just a couple hours away from me, some friends have gone to their Mothman festival. There is also a Bigfoot Festival close by too. There are houses and businesses with Bigfoot statues out front in my town. They dress them up according to seasons and holidays.
When I was a kid I lived in a haunted house. We had an apartment upstairs we were cleaning to rent out. One night my sister thought she saw me walk upstairs to the apartment (steps in the house lead up there) and found all the lights on. I was asleep in bed.
Our friends would sleep over and refuse to come back. My sisters friend saw a little girl in a white dress go up those same steps. One of my friends saw a little girl, too.
I shared a room with my sister (I was 6) and she was walking across the room to my bed to scare me. I yelled at her to stop and go back to bed, then covered my head with my blanket. When I didn't hear anything, I took the blanket off to see her asleep in bed. I got one of those bed tents and covered the windows with blankets after that. .
I was walking from my room to my parents' room in the middle of the night because I was scared. As I walked through the living room, I saw hoof prints walking across the room toward me in shades of blue and green. I didn't see anything, just hoof prints. That scared me more than the little girl.
It was an old house that was empty for a long time before we moved in. My mom found some really old dolls hidden upstairs in the attic and she decided to keep them (no idea why!) There was a big basement and then through there was a boiler room. I only went in once and refused to go in the basement again, just thinking about it scares me.
My mom and brother saw and felt things too but never said anything until years later. The family that bought it from us had kids and the girl was friends with my cousin. Apparently they saw the little girl, too!

I like scary stories, ghost stories, creepypasta type stuff. I love shows about hauntings. Paranormal stuff is fun. I do not like gory horror films anymore. The Saw movies were horrifying. I hated it. The worst movie I ever saw was Strangers. That shit scared me for months, maybe years. I might still scare me Love thrillers. The trailer for The Strangers actually gave me a legit, MOTN panic attack once. Poor H didn't know I got them and I was sitting in a corner hyperventilating. He didn't know whether to console me or call 911. That said, I just rewatched it yesterday and was super disappointed. They don't even do much until about 75 minutes into a 90 minute movie. Although, "because you were home" is still the creepiest line from any movie ever.

I watch The Strangers every year (once a year) during the month of October. I can't wait it after that bc it scares me so much. It's one of my favorites! I just read today they are officially making a second one. It has been in production hell for years, but they are supposed to start filming in 5 days.

I watched strAngers on the USA network during the day and it still terrified me. I definitely missed some parts since I would flip between channels if it too creepy to watch.

How do we feel about The Craft remake? They say it's suppose to be a 20years later type of think. So more of a sequel.

WE NEED TO CALL THE CORNERS!" It fell more along the lines of other teen movies I was obsessed with at the time. Having said that, I'd get pissed if any of those movies were remade.
