How long has he had his tubes? One of Chase's has yet to show signs of moving so I'm curious at what point they decide to go back in to get them. B got his at 19 months. One fell out at some point and our ENT removed the other one this past spring. It was pretty easy—he did it right there in the office—but it may have already been half out, can’t recall now. B had a follow up a few weeks ago and I actually asked the Dr about removal if they don't fall out. He said that it was super easy and done in the office too.

Does anyone have a recommendation for little girls' tights?
I find the Carters ones seem saggy. I love the Copper Key brand at Dillards but at $10 for a 2pk, we could run up quite the bill pretty fast (unless that is the going rate?) Anything decent you've found at Target?

That trunk or treat looks great, flamingo! The kids must have loved how colorful it is! joelies, I’m so sorry. I second the suggestion to text to see if you can clear time to talk.

flamingo, we buy Cat & Jack packs from Target. I get the 3 pack (includes white, pink and black) because it's the same price as the single pack.

I’ve had luck with GapKids and the old Gymboree ones. I don’t know if the quality of the tights have changed since their new “line” has taken over.

If you mean thin, nylon type tights, don't buy Target's. They are cheap and snag instantly. Their thicker ones are fine though.

Welp, the dealership did not accept my offer. So I told them $10 less than we discussed yesterday and they still say no, that they are the lowest they can go. Really? I don't buy it...I'm ready to walk.
I did text our sales guy at the other dealership...he's running some numbers.

My kids are driving me nuts today and I'm about to lose it on one of my drivers. I've been emailing for weeks about fuel taxes being due and needing their information so I can file. I have everything from everyone except one driver. He has his cousin do his paperwork and boy does she suck at it. If I don't get them filed on time, they are paying the fine. Do you use a receipt app? They just scan them and can send a pdf.

Popping in to say Hello! H and I were painting the house last weekend, so this week I am catching up with all the inside stuff and also trying make sure I have everything together for Halloween. We have 3 different parades tomorrow at 3 different schools and two of them conflict, so I can't make Evie's ☹️ Luckily, I recently cheered her on at her school fun run, so she does not seem too bummed about it. But still, I feel like I miss so much of her stuff, since she's not at our local school. Looking forward to that changing in K next year.
Off to catch up...hope everyone is well!

But Atticus' skin has started to grow over it, so they need to remove that, pull the tube, then do a small skin graft inside the ear canal.

That turned out great flamingo! I"m glad it was fun. @sunny41congrats to your SD! That's still a big accomplishment. BTW, did you ever see my response to your PM awhile back? I didn't need a reply, but I never tagged you when I responded so I wanted to be sure you saw it. joelies I'm not caught up on what's going on but I am sorry things are tough with H right now. Take extra care of you in the meantime. Flowers, mani/pedi, go out to dinner with a girlfriend (all of the above)...whatever makes you feel good. Hope all goes well at A's appointment cagoldi

Sorry, ear ventilation tubes. One never fell out so now they need to remove it surgically lest it rupture an eardrum. I guess it's not that common that one or both are retained, but of course we would be in that minority. Ok good. At first I thought I had missed some sort of health crisis. I hope removal is NBD.

Make sure you look for the thicker cotton ones. I’ve gotten good ones at gap and old navy (on sale of course) that have held up great. I’ve gotten the thin tights at target and they usually rip after a wear or two. I know you’re not a big fan of Gymboree anymore but their tights are good too.

DC messaged that A has a low fever. I might have to leave early to pick her up if it gets higher. I know she's only 1 but I'll be sad if she misses Halloween tomorrow! Fx her temp stays down!

That’s really weird inthekitty .... if I have to bring a sibling (which I usually do) I automatically assume I’m paying for them. 🤔 Anyone else so so so excited to trick or treat?! My neighborhood will be so much fun based on what my neighbors say. I’ve almost always been pregnant (no roadies🍷🍺😭) or had a baby so it’s been more like work. This year all my kids can walk and do their own thing and I’ll just follow along with my drink! Lol.

Thanks for the suggestions trtlcrzy klong11 guster inthekitty! Nice to know of some alternates. They all seem fairly comparable price-wise, so I guess that is the price for good quality. Our Dillards ones have held up well to daily use but she fell in the parking lot this morning so we're down a pair. I just wanted to see if I was missing some cheap miracle pair.

The cops block off a street in our neighborhood because almost every house participates and it gets very crowded. We'll bring the wagon and roadies and probably TOT with my neighbors since our kids are similar ages.

You guys never seem to get a break. That's what we said. I think it should be pretty easy for him, and we have scheduled a few days off for Pete to SAH just in case. I'm expecting it to be like the recovery from initial surgery though, so pretty minimal.

joelies Cadence and I go TOT while mh stays home to pass out candy. We go a block over to the bigger houses. There are 2 streets that every single house is decorated and the people just sit at the ends of their driveways and pass out candy. Or they have fun games to win candy. Cadence gets a kick out of it.

sands42 That sounds like so much fun! Supposedly my sister's new 'hood is like that...one more reason I want to move there when we leave here In years past DH has taken the kids while I stay home to pass out candy, but we might switch this year since a friend is joining us (her H works with mine but is deployed right now). Now that we've lived here over a year and know/recognize more neighbors I think it will be fun. If I can find an easy Halloween cocktail recipe maybe I'll make that for us tomorrow night.

flamingo I like the H&M ones, they hold up well and don’t lose their shape, but they’re two for $10 too.

A little tight rant: I much prefer when tights have an actual foot instead of just a seam at the end.

Guess I will just keep shelling out for tights, lol.
