Colin threw a tantrum when it was time to put the Play-Doh away. I yelled but DH ran at him, screaming. Scared the kid half to death and I came running to make sure he didn't touch him. Dude, just no. Besides I was the one interacting with him all evening while DH cooked then watched TV. He was being pretty good on the whole, so no clue how he lost his temper so quickly.
Then he had the nerve to keep asking why both boys wanted me to put them to bed tonight. Colin wouldn't even sit in our room to watch Rangers or to read with me. DH is playing dumb as if he doesn't know what's up. I've been trying to ignore his bad behavior towards me lately, but I can't let this slide. Yay.

joelies Did you straight up tell him why the kids don’t want him to put them to bed? When my DH pulls that stuff with the kids I tell him. “Neither kid wants you to put them to bed because you scare them when you use an unnecessarily mean tone of voice.” I call him out, but not in front of the kids. Also, sometimes if he’s in a super foul mood i wait until he’s in a better mood because i know he’s more receptive then. We haven't spoken yet since the boys went to bed. He's upstairs watching football and I'm finishing lunch prep and calming down. |

Well that was a bust. I started talking to him about how we need to change how we're dealing with Col's tantrums since the yelling isn't helping and Cool was terrified today. I made a few suggestions and not once did he acknowledge that I was speaking. Or in the room, for that matter. So I left.

Sunny41 this is my face right now🤨 looking at that breakfast. I'm realizing that I live in a very narrow Halloween world where costumes are cute and friendly and I don't factor in creepy and scary Halloween stuff.

Cadence's costume is done, my costume is almost done, pizza is pre-ordered for Wednesday for school, treat bags are made for her class, and I have a bag of donation treats for their school trick or treating.
You would think I'd be in a better mood since everything is basically done, but for whatever reason I'm in a pissy mood. I have been all evening.
Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight and wake up in a better mood.

I’m sitting up watching the voice and avoiding DH... he dared to complain earlier today that the kids are cockblocks. He is asleep in bed, N is sprawled on my lap because he needs back tickles to go to sleep and I’m feeding C. Yep, the kids are the reason you aren’t getting any...

joelies that is not ok. C use to do that but I started pointing it out to him. He’s starting to catch himself. Today he pulled me aside and asked to skip bath since LO was really pushing it and he was getting close to yelling at him.

That’s disgusting Sunny41! C would love it but intestines really gross me out so I don’t think I could manage that. My friend made this cranberry applesauce for Cs party and I thought it looked like brains and could be down for that, but not intestines. |
