Wazzup Weekend

Hi hi. I worked out for the first time in 2 weeks since I hit my head and felt great. Just a Barre3 class.

Just got an invite for a party TOMORROW for one if J's old buddies that went to K. J asked about him daily, so we are making it happen, but now missing the new neighborhood fall fest, granted we know zero people, so that would have been pretty awkward. The mom emailed beforehand and apologized for the late invite and invited us to this and a Diwali party next Sunday. She also put a disclaimer she didn't want to make us feel uncomfortable with the invite(which makes me feel bad that she felt the need to include that). I responded that this week is better for us but thank you for including us in both. I'd totally go, but dont want to go to a party 2 weekends in a row, and I suspect they need RSVPs for the bday if they are emailing so late.

So we go to swim lessons. C is 35min in and L (with MH) are 5 min in. I see the teacher talking to C and he points to me. She comes over and asks who his teacher usually is. Uhhhh, not sure cause it's the first day? She then tells me it's the last day of the previous session and he doesn't start til next week. Then I hear L screaming that she wants to swim and she and MH are walking over. Oh, oops..

C had a great party. We had 21 kids total so it was a bit nuts but we got the big room upstairs and I think everyone had a good time. I didn’t get many pics because I was busy welcoming people during the jump time so I didn’t see C and his friends much. But they all seemed happy when we got together for pizza and cake.

Hi! Just left my nieces birthday party. It was at a kids cooking school which was pretty cute. H stayed home with Dh and I went with my mom, N and my nephew. My parents are taking the kids tonight and we have a Halloween event to help with which will also involve margaritas.

Hey. I worked this morning and now I’m home alone. DH took the girls to his parents’ church for trunk or treat. I’m probably going to start supper soon.

Lol flamingo. I’m glad you finally have a working microwave. Is it better than the old one?

We carved Colin's pumpkin, roasted the seeds, made a few dozen muffins and did the grocery shopping. I saved half a can of pumpkin for fudge tonight, which leaves me nap time tomorrow to get invites out for Colin's party. I need to take over favors because DH keeps sending links to the kind of annoying stuff I'm always trying to sneak into the trash. If I have to pay for it, it might as well be something the kids will use more than once before breaking.

Our theme is LEGO and I’m doing LEGO blind bags for favors, along with LEGO stickers and maybe some candy and/or other LEGO thing. I know s goes crazy for the LEGO blind bags so I figure other kids will too. Plus he actually plays w them so it’s not the typical crap

Dinner is ready (taco soup), two loads of dishes done, 2 loads of laundry done, pumpkin bread made. Introduced LO to 1960s Doctor Dolittle and he liked it. E did not nap again today but she slept well at night so 🤷‍♀️.

Have fun! I’m so happy it’s over. Tomorrow is a smaller family party at my parents after the road race so I need to get through one more day.

Hey! I slept about 3 hours last night before S woke up. Then took an hour nap once MH got up. I went and got my phone fixed before we headed home. Got home at about 4pm and we got totally unpacked, did 2 loads of laundry, and played outside with S. I’m soooo tired but trying to wait till 10:00 to go to bed so I get back on my normal sleep schedule.

Last night SD did awesome in the school play. And E sat still through it and so excited to see her on stage. It was a small production at a small school but they did good. Then we got to explore the home of Superman (city where SD lives) and eat at the restaurant where she works. It's fun to see that part of her life.

I didn't get much sleep last night because my back is so scratchy and I'm doing my best not to rub it up and down the nearest corner.

Went to a Halloween party this afternoon after battling n to wear her costume. My kids were the only ones there besides the host's baby for a while...they had Hocus pocus on TV without sound and I'm fairly certain j will have nightmares tonight. He face was seriously 🤨😱the whole time. Then we got pizza and I went to target late night to get a gift and a few shower curtains to take to the house bc there was a cartwheel deal.

Also wtf are we going to do in this country with these hate crimes. Every day things get worse😢

Busy day. Gymnastics and swim as per usual, then Cadence and I went to a coworker's house to get pictures of Cadence taken. She is one of the associate attorneys and she has been taking photography classes. She said she needed more practice subjects because her husband and cats were starting to get annoyed.
Cadence tolerated it better than I thought she would, but started getting irritated towards the end because she was hungry and her schedule was being screwed with. Then we went to eat and came home.
Skipped bathtime and went to bed, but we missed her window, so she was up later than normal.
Here is a pic she sent me. She said she will have them all for me to look at on Monday to choose for editing.

That's a good idea. I also hate junky favors. Our theme is fishing so I'm doing Go Fish card games and a box of swedish fish. Last year the theme was alligators and I did wooden alligators, paints and paint brush.

Morning!
We had a great time at our town’s Halloween bash last night. Tons of kids, candy, and games.
We stayed until Charlie asked to be picked up and practically fell asleep on MH’s shoulder (it was not even 8).
We got to meet the people who owned our house previously— they were running a booth and he was dressed in his army gear so his name was prominently displayed. That was fun!

Friday night we did our trunk for DD’s school trunk or treat. Yesterday we were home with terrible rain all day but DH and I cleaned the basement playroom and when garbage day rolls around, the neighbors are going to think we are moving.

Now I’m sitting in quiet alone at gymnastics. I’m letting DD have a private lesson because she missed a few practices when she was sick this week.. She has her next competition next Sunday. My girl is my hard worker. Later we have my nephew’s birthday party, DS1’s hockey game, and then my nephew who lives an hour away happens to have a hockey game at our home rink so we will go to that.

So cute! Not a fan of junky favours too, I have two this year. One for his class when he celebrates at school & one for his party; rainbow colouring pencils & a stamp & ink.

We celebrated ds’ birthday this morning, it was fun, he got tons off lego, wooden animals and cool books. He loved the zoo sign we got him and the decorations blew his mind. Btw if anyone needs an easy cake idea...



Eta In all honesty, the cake was store bought, ds had tasted this specific cake and wanted this one and only this one for his birthday.
