Key highlights of the appointment also included:
-flashing the doctor & med students at least twice, possibly a 3rd time but I didn't look down in time. H decided to climb all over me like I was a mountain and his shoes pulled my shirt down. Then when I tried to put him on the floor, he pulled my shirt down with him and wouldn't let go.
-H kicked the lady's arm in the lab while she was attempting to put his blood from the syringe into the big ass tube and she spilled it all over his paperwork.
-When leaving the parking garage, I couldn't figure out how to get out. I paid at a kiosk before getting in my car and they give you a chip to insert when you leave. Apparently I drove right passed it because I thought it was the cash checkout. That's what all the signs said. So one of the attendants had to run over to my car and go insert it for me. Whoops.

From what guster described, I thing your friend's baby is too young for the formula method. I kept an eye on the clock with H and would put him to sleep based on his awake time. Sometimes he'd give me sleepy cues and sometimes he wouldn't. M very rarely gave any sleepy cues. She was a nosy Rosie and hated sleep. She'd only nap for 30-40 min during the day so at 8 months old she was still napping 4-5x a day at home & at daycare she'd only take one.

Yeah, S was a unicorn kid and I never understood all the hoopla around naps and sleeps. B, on the other hand, was very difficult to put down and had a had time staying asleep at nap time. I can't remember when I started that method with B, but I do remember it helped me get on a schedule with him.
In any case, he's starting day care part time in less than 2 weeks, so I told her they would probably get him on a schedule pretty fast

Hey. Both girls had school this morning so after running a couple errands I came home and started season 2 of “making a murderer”. I picked them up, fed them lunch and now S is napping and H is having quiet time. I need to fold and put away laundry but I’m having a hard time convincing myself to get up. peachsmama sorry for the rough wake up from anesthesia. I hope M is feeling much better in the morning. tgrimes I’m glad you had a good appt. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of H’s illnesses. cagoldi I hope the assessment goes well xolastunicornxo I would ignore what that doctor said. If you’re not ready to sleep train then don’t do it. I nursed both my girls through the night as needed until I stopped nursing them. You aren’t harming her or anything crazy like that.

xolastunicornxo I might try and get her down without the boob, just so you are not setting up a sleep association. Would not worry about night nursing as much, I think she will STTN when she's ready. If it's not bothering you, it's prob NBD.

Totally random question, I remember someone here (or it might have been on B's BMB that I never joined but lurked when he was a baby) had some system for baby sleep, something like 2-3-3 or 2-2-3 or something where they are supposed to nap at certain intervals of being awake throughout the day? It really helped me get B on a nap schedule when he was young, and my friend is having trouble getting her 2.5 month old on a schedule so I wanted to share that with her. Anyone know what I am talking about?? She could also try the EASY method. Eat, activity, sleep, you. It worked really well for Layla back in the day. Basically you feed upon waking, then baby is active, then put down for a nap (you is you time.) Most people do activity, eat then nap. But sometimes sleep cues and mistaken for hunger and visa versa. Couldn't hurt to try.

jewels my sister's baby is 4 months tomorrow and she has had great luck with something called Moms on Call. Helped her get my nephew on a schedule and he is sleeping amazingly well. I had never heard of it but it has really worked for them. There is a book and also a support/troubleshooting group she joined on FB.

Phew! One kid down and one to go...he has 8 minutes C's Cinderella costume came today and is perfect (we ordered from Trish Scully...I'd never heard of them before but their 'princess' dresses are beautiful, fwiw). I made the fatal error of letting her try it on, then a few minutes later we needed to run an errand and I attempted to remove it. Cue hysterics. We compromised by letting her wearing her sparkly shoes. For those keeping score at home, DH emailed the PM this morning and informed them that if the microwave situation was not resolved by COB today, he was going to the courthouse tomorrow and putting our rent money in escrow, and they could explain to the homeowner why that is. Lo and behold, a new microwave is being Amazon prime'd to us. The dimwit made some snarky comment about how we are in breach of our contract by reporting everything to the owner, and that next time they will charge us a $500 fine. Cool. One, that's not in the lease and we never agreed to that stipulation, and Two) I assume that if that's the case, we will see a marked improvement in responsiveness and communication in the future, thereby negating any need to speak with the owner. Right, PM? Oddly enough, I didn't get a response to that eta: TL;DR: new microwave will be here Saturday. PM still sucks.

Yeah from what she said it is hardcore, and she is religious about keeping him on his schedule during the day. I do know that we sleep trained C earlier than B, and she has been a much better sleeper overall. He's never been bad, but we've had rough patches...she is fantastic.

This kitten if crazy. We tried to eat dinner and he found so many freaking ways to get to our plates, it was ridiculous. We had to lock him in the bedroom and Cadence flipped out because she didn't want him to be in time out.
Plus he farts. I'm hoping it is a side effect of his surgery and just getting over being ill, but sweet jeebus if we ever can't find him, his smell will give away his hiding spot.

Um guise, don't send your kids to kindergarten. Tonight I went to an hour long session about the kindergarten literacy program and his teacher asked if I knew about the big romance. Yup, my Colin has a girlfriend.

Also WWN13 do... so at C’s 9 month app the other day the dr asked me if she’s still waking up to nurse and sort of side eyed me when I said yes. She thinks I need to start sleep training her and I’m not ready. But I’ve also never had this with the boys... she will not and has never taken a bunny so she basically just wakes up to comfort nurse not eat. And I’m so freaking tired I just bring her into bed and pop her on and we both go back so sleep. I don’t even know what I’m asking, so I guess this isn’t really a wwn13 do. I’m just feeling conflicted.... and tired. This is my life. My first 2 were on formula between 2 and 4 months. With T, we were living at my sisters from when he was 9-13 months and so I nursed him all night because I felt that I couldn’t disturb the 10 people sharing the 3 bedrooms at her house. With C, I have the room sharing issue again. His best night of sleep was when we had a sitter a few weeks ago. I put him to bed at 7:30 before I left. He woke at 10:30 and she gave him a bottle and he slept until 5. He doesn’t like nursing in the day but wants to nurse all night. I introduced 2 ounces of whole milk once a day this week as per my pediatrician. I weaned T while DH was on a trip because he has a harder time with the crying than I do. He’s going away second week of November so I may left T sleep with me and work on baby C that week. I’m kicking myself for not letting T sleep in DS1’s room while they were in Boston last week because T thinks his big brother’s room is the coolest place on earth. I can do 2-3 times a night but he was like 7-8 times a night the past few weeks. He takes a good nap from 9-10:30 every morning but afternoon is often interrupted by pick up of the other kids.

And I mean, he talks about her a lot too, but at least as often, I hear about his friend A and his twin brother. He's always been friends with girls,so I didn't think anything of it. But his teacher said he apparently kissed her in music class!! Thankfully her Dad had a good sense of humor about it. Then I noticed on my way out that his write-up from last week's field trip was a picture of them hugging and saying his favorite part of the trip was sitting with P. Oh dear...

Apparently it’s happening in O’s kindergarten too. He keeps talking about one girl in particular that he really likes and wants to invite her to his bday party. O’s friends have told their moms similar stories about boyfriends and girlfriends.
