Just drove an hour to the surgery office for Matthew. We left at 6:30. I wrapped him in a blanket and carried him out to the car asleep. He woke up right away though and talked all the way here lol. I hope this goes easily and smoothly.

Morning! Charlie woke up at 4:40, but I didn’t go to pick him up until 530. I just kept hoping he’d fall back to sleep. Josie followed soon after at 6:20. Daylight savings time next week is going to destroy me.
MH suggested we put them down a half an hour later, which I will try, but if I do this and lose all of my alone time in morning AND in the evenings, I’ll be a disaster.

The sedation shot was rough. But hes out cold now. Getting xrays and then we'll make a plan.

X has been waking up saying owie and pointing at his stomach. I think he's hungry but he still isn't eating. Sigh.
Today is the therapy session during which the Director of OT will evaluate him so we'll see how that goes.

His mouth is basically one giant cavity. The 2 that we knew were bad are worse. And have infected 2 other teeth. The 3 on the left side are still the same. I noticed the color being lighter in his front 2 teeth and that's because both have cavities. 😔 dentist said he has to be in pain and just not saying anything 😭

You guys, we went to zoo today to celebrate ds’ birthday with just the four of us (it’s not until Tuesday, but we couldn’t fit it in later) There were 5 candles on the cake, 5?!?! Where did our babies go 😭😭😭.

Last night, Dude told me he doesn’t eat pepperoni because he doesn’t like pigs. But he does eat cheese because it’s from cows, and he loves cows.
Obviously, I did an amazing job of helping him understand the practice of doing the least harm LOL.

My day has gotten off to an awesome start. One of my coworkers started in on how the bombs were staged by the democrats and after clarifying that we don't know who actually sent them, he changed to the less political topic of... Meghan Kelly and her defense of blackface. He literally said "you can't say anything anymore" and that was the end of it. Not my best moment, but I yelled and even dropped a few f-bombs. I believe "are you f-ing kidding me?" came out at least 3 times. He ultimately apologized and we're playing nice now, but I need to talk to local management and HR about getting people to stop with the political BS. I only talk politics privately with K here at work (and occasionally 2 others, but only if they start it) because I know no one wants to hear it. These tools at my office regularly share their racist and misogynistic alt-right "news" with the whole damn office and I'm sick of it. And ultimately, I'm more valuable to this company than them so I feel pretty comfortable making it clear that I will not continue to work in this environment.
Thankfully someone gave me an extra bacon and cheese croissant, because grease makes things mildly more tolerable.
