Nausea:
Trail mix. I’ve got it at my desk. For those times when you can’t tell if it’s hunger or nausea it helps plus the protein kicks my hunger for a bit.
Pretzels by my bed every morning. I also put a thermos full of ice by my bed so in the AM it’s still ice cold but melted. Helps the cotton mouth with the pretzels. If I can get a few in me before I go upright it’s been helping.
Spearmint/Peppermint/Lavender in the diffuser. I’ve only used it one night but I think it really helped. I went to target and grabbed a new diffuser that would mist for 8 hours and it went all night. I refilled it and diffuser while I got ready for work. I didn’t gag this morning til I walked in the kitchen- stupid kitchen. I also got a mini diffuser for my desk at work and used it today.
Oddly working out seems to help. Sometimes I can’t do my weight training videos because I’m too sea sick feeling but if I get on the treadmill I feel better. Maybe I’m just distracted.

My last BMB suggested to put crushed ice in my water and to drink it with a straw (normally with a slice of lemon or lime) to help with nausea. Not sure why but it totally helped.
I usually peel ginger root, put a few slices in a travelling mug with boiling water and sip throughout the day. This always helps me.
That's all I got:/ I basically gave up food my entire pregnancy with DD because food never stayed down.

Oh and I just bought this at target: It has ginger root in it but this drink tastes nothing like ginger. I was afraid to try it because I’ve got a ginger aversion even on a good day. It almost tastes like a wine cooler. Bubbly and delicious.

Staying on top of hunger has really helped my nausea! It was hard getting used to how hungry I was, but now that I’ve adjusted to eating smaller amounts throughout the day it’s a lot better. Also recognizing that, as much as I love curries and foods with spice, those just aren’t happening right now!
Staying hydrated also helps a ton. When I get my full 8 glasses of water, I feel way better. I need to be more mindful about drinking water on teaching days!

Definitely drinking enough water. I let myself get dehydrated yesterday and I felt so shitty I thought I was going to wake up with a cold today

I’m the opposite with lemon, anything sour makes me gag! Normally I love lemon water, but not now.

This is always my problem in pregnancy. Water tastes gross. Lemon makes me sick after a while. I'm like @starzia in that I never drink juice. Or pop. Only water and milk...and on occasion tea. All I want to drink right now is grape juice. I water it down and put a lot of crushed ice in but it seems to be helping. I'm sure I'll be off it in a week...but right now it's amazing.
With DD there was about a 3 week stretch where the only thing I could stomach at all was caffeine free coke.
It's all about survival.

Pregnancy is so friggin weird.
Survival is the name of the game for sure.
And watered down grape juice with tons of ice suddenly sounds amazing, even though I have not had grape juice in years. We have some at home for the kids, but I am sure that by the time I get home the idea will sound awful.
I have definitely been wanting lemonade, but have not had much.

Saturday I had a ginger turmeric tea (believe it was Rishi) and that helped calm my stomach. I've been keeping mints and Werther's originals with me to suck on when I feel queasy.

I’ve been drinking Honest berry lemonade juice and fruit punch. So weird but it’s good right now.

Thanks guys. Two of my classes were writing math tests today so I didn't get to move around much this afternoon. Plus I don't eat lunch normally...just water...so I'll have to make an effort to pack a snack or something. Getting in a bit of exercise and getting some food in me both helped tremendously!

Lunch is so important! On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I teach a class from 11-1, which really messes up my eating. I normally get to campus around 10 for office hours, so I get a snack before class, and then try to eat something more substantial after. Today though I ended up talking with a student for close to half an hour after class, so I was super hungry! I did eat some crackers but I needed more protein than the Kind bar I had before class!

I can't imagine going that long without food. I've been getting shaky and nauseous if I go longer than like 2 hours!

I can't imagine going that long without food. I've been getting shaky and nauseous if I go longer than like 2 hours! I think because of my sore throat I haven't even wanted food the past few days. Plus I eat a good breakfast and we have dinner early (between 4 and 5 pm). But I'm going to have to start adding something during the day pretty soon I think. But I'm only 5 weeks so I still have a week or two before the nausea really sets in:)

The smell of pumpkin guts did me in last night.
I've been keeping hard candy with me lately. Yesterday I ran a meeting and kept popping Werther's originals to calm my stomach. I'm basically acting like an old lady with her stash of butterscotch and mints.

The fridge just made me throw up. Ugh.
I’ve been telling H for a couple days that the fridge smelled bad, but he couldn’t smell it. He’s been trying to clean it out, but I guess he hasn’t gotten whatever it is that’s making me queasy. His mission tonight is to clean the whole thing.

I had just forgotten how sick I was during 1st tri this past summer. And now you have all reminded me:) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I have at least 1 more week (although I'm hoping for like 5 more weeks) before the nausea kicks in. I would say I didn't want it at all but what fun would that be???
Heart burn is starting to kick in though. I only get this while pregnant so I guess it will keep me company, along with gas pains, until I join the puke party!

bearfootzcontinued, all your talk of Worthers Originals had me craving them, then the kids got some in their TorT loot, I totally stole a few (not that I trust them with hard candy yet anyways)!

Discovered this week that lemonade gives me heartburn. Two times this week that I had lemonade, and then had heartburn. No heartburn on the days without lemonade.
