Someone on FB just posted that he doesn't get GOTV campaigns, because why would you want to encourage people who don't care to vote (because uninformed voting is just as bad as not voting), and that for the people who can't access the polls, states are doing more to accommodate them. WTF is he smoking, and can I have some? Or did I miss some big state push to make it easier to vote, between the roll purges, ID laws, and closing locations in rural and predominantly minority communities? Considering where I live and what is in the news currently, I can't exactly argue with the why would you encourage people who are ignorant to vote. because the 5000 people plus the 14 teachers who saw nothing wrong with a wall costume are not people I want in control of my government. BUT
I mean I can. Because if you dont take that fundamental right to heart and exercise it, then it could be lost for all.
I can't speak for other states, but it is REALLY easy here to vote. Between absentee, early and same day registration plus a polling location at every single elementary school, its not exactly hard.

I get that, I just feel like for every state that makes it easier, there's two that are doing shady shit. But I am also super pessimistic right now.

I got a GOTV call at work and accidentally rude because I couldn't hear the person very well so I didn't really understand what it was for. After his intro, which I'm still not sure what was said the poor guy basically said: "I hope you vote tomorrow, thanks bye!"
I wanted to call him back and tell him I was sorry and that of course I'll be voting tomorrow.

I caught a news story today about high school students too young to vote going out canvassing asking people to be the voice they're not yet able to be for them tomorrow. I'm so glad the younger generation is watching and ready. I have faith in them.

I follow Diary of a Mom on FB and her daughter did a video regarding voting and how she turns 18 exactly 5 months after this election. It was really good.

Iowans - in case you needed another reason to vote out Steve King... please do Stephen King a solid.

I think the NYT poll has King up by 7 and it was done in the last few days.

I saw my first Corey Stewart sign in the wild today.
Their next door neighbor had a Beto sign 😂

My House district is looking very likely to flip according to the polls. Like just in the last few days, 538 has given it an 80% chance of flipping. Last week it was showing 50-50 so newer polling must favor Slotkin heavily.

And they've officially designated the Texas Senate race as a toss up! I think they still had it as Lean Republican in October

Cook Political Report says Karen Handel and Darrel Issa are in trouble. HAHAHAHAHAHA Wait, Issa isn't running again, are you just referring to his district? Polls do have the Dem (Levin) up over the GOP (Harkey) so I'm hopeful. I daren't hope that CA flips blue in all districts but we may get pretty close!

So what’s everyones prediction for tomorrow? Can we talk about this or are people too scared to jinx it?
I predict a house take over, Dems lose 2 senate seats, Gillum wins but abrams loses because voter suppression is too much to overcome in Georgia.

I’m texting for the Slotkin campaign in MI and this is a lot more promising than the Alabama campaign yesterday.

The rational part of me says this is probably a very solid prediction, but the anxiety-ridden part of me is preparing for a complete GOP victory. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best?
