I'm here. I have to start getting the boys up earlier on school days. I drop M off 5 minutes late every day. J just will not get up and get moving!
I'm invoicing and doing payroll for the week today. Then I have some errands. I've been crafting for the boys party this weekend and want to take stock of my decorations and see what else I need.

tgrimes my friends that we went to Saturday have an actual Skee Ball game in their basement, like what you see at carnivals or Chuck E Cheese. It's huge and so loud. The kids were all playing with it and I was so worried a ball was going to go flying through their drywall. At one point, H and I ended up being the only adults downstairs while another 4 year old (not Evie, we wouldn't let her) was throwing the balls. We had to leave the room so we wouldn't be the only spectators to the damage that was about to occur. Much more trusting than I am!

I don't think L has stopped talking today. Nonstop. I packed lunch so we can go right to the park when we pick up C.

I just pulled the containers of hats and scarves and gloves out from the basement to give it all a wash. I’m drowning in outerwear accessories. I think I may have to do a purge of them. How many true winter scarves do you really need?

And now we have notice that the water will be shut off completely from 9-4 on Thursday to work on the pipes down the street. Awesome. Can they force me to come to work that day? I feel like running water is a necessity.

Another tale from the work shuttle. Someone on the work shuttle reeked of booze. I don’t know if they were drunk or just had Cologne that was alcohol based but not appropriate for when.

Morning! Nothing too crazy here. Another slow day at the office. We had a nice, relaxing weekend and a quiet week ahead which is much needed. It’s been a busy month and i can’t believe how fast it’s gone.

Morning! We just got done at S’s ENT appt. He said at this point we should just watch and wait. If she gets another EI in the near future I just need to call and they will schedule tubes and adenoid removal. So fx for no more EIs. I actually forgot her appt was today until I got a reminder on my phone when we were dropping H off.

Morning! mwhip Hope E is feeling better soon. Poor girl :/ Today was picture day so I left the kids at school after combing their hair one last time, lol. The ONE thing I miss from our school last year is the photographer; they did pics outside and they were gorgeous. Got my grocery shopping done and am now home catching up on laundry and housework. Not terrible exciting, but least it is quiet...if I had to hear mama/mommy one more time after yesterday I might have run away from home

Also, for those eagerly awaiting an update on Microwave-gate (if you're bored to tears, keep scrolling...)
my H spoke with the owner of our house this morning and they compared notes. LSS, owner is also unhappy, and he and his wife are going to talk this week about doing something different (firing her and self-managing, finding new PM, etc). Cross your fingers.
Meanwhile, when the PM *did* finally get in touch with the owner about the microwave (over 2 weeks after we reported it), she flat out lied and said the repairman said there was "wall damage" (that we caused) that caused the microwave to be broken. WTF. First of all, it's built into the cabinetry--no walls nearby whatsoever--and second, he made no mention to me of anything other than it being a rusted, 14 y.o. microwave that needed to be replaced. I don't know if this woman has a screw loose or what but she clearly has an agenda of some sort. Crazy.
Soooo. That's what we're dealing with. It is going to be replaced, however, per the homeowner.

I’m glad they switched to inside pictures this year.

How many true winter scarves do you really need? I purged everything when we moved. I went through the winter tub which was overflowing and got it down to a reasonable amount that fits well. I usually forgo a big coat so I like to have a few scarves to go with sweatshirts, but that's plenty.

flamingo Wow. Can you write a review on the BBB or something for that management company? That's ridiculous. This is the plan, I'm also going to file a complaint with the state Realtor board. This is the second time she's lied about what repairmen have said to try and pin blame on us; luckily we document EVERYTHING. Once we are out of this house, or she is no longer our PM/holding our deposit, I am going to do everything possible to effectively have her blacklisted. She is just terrible.

cagoldi I think X is correct on the Jennifer Anniston thing. All my kids in preschool do this project where they give them old magazines and they pick someone that looks like each member of their family. It’s hilarious.

guster I think I have 1 outdoor scarf, and I never use it. I think I have 15 of just mine in the washer right now, and they’re not decorative wear with a shirt kind of scarves. I went nuts when that craze was happening, as well.

Even now that we live somewhere colder, I still only wear a fraction of the ones I have. I need to purge. eta: I have one "outdoor" scarf...if by that you mean heavy/thick enough to truly wear for warmth and not just as an accessory. I have one knit cap, one pair each of brown and black leather gloves, and some cashmere gloves. I might get snow gloves this year if it looks like we're going to have enough to justify them.
