Since kleigh mentioned a To Do list, and I am in desperate need of organizing my shit before things get really hectic (birthdays followed by the quickly approaching Christmas season), I figured we could do a throw back to when we were all packing diaper bags and decorating nurseries. Post your To Do List here and we'll keep each other on track! Ill be back with mine once I get a chance to write one up.

Ok short term/immediate To Dos: * Buy party favours and food for H's party * Make and freeze muffins for C's lunches * Replace Kitchen heater (DH) *Go through picture box and transfer all thumb drives / disks to new external hard drive * Go through winter hats/boots/etc * Order H's 2yo pictures
Year End Goals: * Another toy purge * Empty at least 1 Storage container (sell/donate/organization) * Go through my purses and transfer whatever I'm keeping into empty storage container for better organization * Print off 2 pictures from H's Christening to match the framed pictures of C's Christening * Make sure DH finishes the baseboards * Replace thermostats with digital
I'm sure I'll be adding to it as I go along.

October has been nuts with traveling, and we’re OOT next weekend and the third weekend in November too so I have to keep that in mind trying to plan stuff.
I just did a huge toy purge in our playroom. Now I just need DH to actually donate those toys. And I separated out the newborn toys so need to sterilize those.
We still have our nanny for another week or two so between now and then there are some projects I want to tackle, mostly in master bedroom. These are: —purging my closet (not even the clothes so much but the little nooks and crannies where I have shoved random stuff over the past 7 years —purging my drawers (socks, underwear, tights drawers specifically) —cleaning out under our bed (dust factory) —purge and reorganize the linen closet
Next month we are moving D into DS’s room so I need to: —order him a new bed and buy him new bedding for it —figure out any other furniture we need for that room —decorate their room appropriately
I’m not totally ready for all the nursery stuff but don’t really have a choice at this point lol. For that room: —clean out the dresser and closet, moving D’s stuff to her new shared room —do a deep clean —wash all the neutral baby stuff and blankets and put them in the dresser —get a new glider (that’ll be end of November when my registry completion code comes) —have DH raise the crib —close the door and not allow the older two in there again for the next year 😆
We also need to pull out the rock and play, swing, play mats, etc. from storage and clean them.
All of this is before we do anything holday related!! 😱

I don’t even know where to begin: - Buy Mickey/Minnie Bday decorations for kids, order cake, send out reminder text - Pull out secret box of previously bought toys for Bday/Xmas and see if I have something for them or need to buy gift(s). - Book Boston Nutcracker/Hotel for our mutual Bday gift to each other - Buy boozy advent calendar for me and MH www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/drinks/g12775238/alcohol-advent-calendars/- Decide if I want full gallery of mini session photos or just a few, order from photographer - Design, order, address Xmas cards - Order family Xmas PJs - Continue Xmas shopping - MIL, FIL (maybe - he just tosses everything aside anyway), kids, MH, my mom, nieces and nephews - Organize adults Xmas get together with my sisters - Bring more toys to attic, continue purge and deep clean house More to come

I’m at the point.... I need to figure out what’s going on with all the “baby” stuff taking up residency in our attic and closets. Rockers and bouncers and clothes and books and toys ....all of it. x2.
With our friends now pregnant with twins, it would make sense to hand some of that over. If we’re done.
And not just bc of ^^^^. It’s just time to shit or get off the pot. At some point it will no longer be an option and I don’t want to feel like I avoided it for the sake of avoiding everything that goes with the choice and have no option.
So that big thing has been on our to do list and continues to be up at the top.

I’m actively avoiding this thread but read it and didn’t want to not comment. kleigh we’re here to talk if you ever think part of all of that could be helped by bouncing ideas around or just getting stuff out in the open. I know this has been on your mind for awhile and I am really hoping that you and your H reach a decision that you’re content and at peace with.

I didn’t mean to bring anything heavy here, it’s not heavy to me. It’s just something I want to take an active role in deciding on, ya know. I know I can find peace either way though. I’m truly a lucky girl with these two.

I’m actually glad you said that because I’m realizing that we used to have weekly round table night and it’s been ages since we’ve done it.

Bumping this up. How is everyone doing on their lists?
I'm finally at a point where life doesn't feel super overwelming so I'm going to try to write these things down.
-Buy mirrors for powder room and master bath and install. -Pick up mirror from parents house for C's bathroom and install. -Buy bathroom hardware and install. -Pick up back splash tile from Lowe's and schedule tile guy. -Install range hood. -Figure out Christmas card, order and mail out. -Christmas shopping. -Buy a couple more Christmas items for the house and finish decorating. -Order closet system for C's bedroom and our bedroom. Finish unpacking our room. -Organize pantry. -Finish unpacking the office. -Clean and organize the basement.

I kind of remember talking about this a while ago. I could really use some. I need to fully empty out the damn thing every six months, go through everything, and put it all back. It’s annoying and I’m sick of doing it.

We were a little overwhelmed when we moved in so we just started throwing things in random places. I really want to have some type of "system" though. We have tall and deep shelves so I end up stacking and stacking. Then something gets used on the bottom first kind of messing up the top and I keep up with reorganizing for a few weeks, but then the inevitable happens and I’m rushing or just not in the mood and shoving or ignoring starts to happen and it all falls apart quickly. It’s doesn’t help that an entire side of the pantry is dedicated to protein powders, bars, and pre workout. It’s like a GD GNC. Annoying.

I’m avoiding this too, even though my list is probably shorter than other times, I’m just not into adulting this week.
x Xmas cards are ready to be dropped in the mail • Order/send my N16 gift • Finish Xmas shopping for MH and the kids, wrap • Put together list of hand me downs for T/E’s twins so she knows what she’ll still need • Schedule dentist appts for all of us for Jan’19 • Schedule my annual Gyn appt and the baseline mammogram hey told me to have done this year (back in February) • Purge or store a load of toys • Decorate for Xmas inc putting up tree • Look into twin beds for kids (currently in converted cribs and too small) • Create a house cleaning schedule so I/we do one or two things each day as opposed to overwhelming day long cleaning • Create list of top 3-5 program choices for the kids and get them on waiting lists for Spring/Summer/Fall • Nutcracker/Boston - never booked bc I had too much going on, are we still going, book hotel and tickets, give my mom the date • Book someone to do yard/leaves clean up • Backsplash ideas and pricing for Feb 2019 • 2019 Spring/Summer Me and H trip ideas/research • 2019 Spring/Summer family trip ideas/research

kleigh ikea had some adorable and great price extendable twin beds. They were low to the ground though. Not sure if you were looking for something that’ll last them through the entirety of childhood.

Thanks for looking out! I’ll check them out. They do not need to last throughout childhood. They’re still in the same room but at some point we’ll seperatee them and upgrade once more, for now they just need to both fit in one room.

Stop avoiding ladies!! And purge, purge, clean and organize. I’m totally obnoxious but I love this stuff, it’s like my foreplay.
I do have a bit of a system in my pantry, it’s kinda piecey looking but I use the pantry extendable shelves, available at BBB, and the SKUBB organization boxes from IKEA. I dislike product boxes and need stuff to be available for the kids.
I’ll take a couple pics. Hold please...
