I was thinking the same about the shoes. I think your shoes make it look more casual. A wedge heel or boot may dress it up a bit. Ponte leggings are always thicker, more dressy as well. Maybe a necklace would help, too? Would you do a riding boot or a bootie? I tried a bootie this morning but it looked funny. It’s definitely more casual than normal but my boss is away so I figured it was worth the risk. I would do a riding boot

cagoldi I’m sorry. Not sure how things work in California, but any chance he will qualify for a public school program at 3 where he can get most of the therapy during school?

TW Last night was a mess. We found out a childhood friend of DH’s passed away from cancer. She lives out of state now and they hadn’t been in touch in a while but she had 4 kids between 5 and 12 years old so even though I never met her, it hit home. Then as we were discussing that, T was playing with the dog and somehow his eyelid got cut so I had to take him to Urgent Care. They said it could have used some glue but since it may have been cut by the dog, they won’t glue for risk of infection so he has an antibiotic cream. Finally, we found out we were exposed to an adult on Sunday who was later diagnosed with Shingles so I have to keep an eye on C since he is not vaccinated yet. I’m thinking it should be ok as they had no physical contact.
Today DH and I went to breakfast with C then picked up DS1 early from school and they left for the hockey tournament. I have to figure out dinner then head to soccer practice.

cagoldi, sorry about the tough news with X. I'm glad he is getting the therapies to help him! What is ABA? It's a therapy/program used for people who are on the spectrum. Since X has not been officially diagnosed, I feel like that's premature, and I'm sure they wouldn't take a kid just based on observations anyway.

cagoldi,I'm sorry. That's a lot. When will the director come to observe? She's going to come in next Thursday morning for his regular feeding therapy and offer her thoughts about the sensory profile and what other interventions could be beneficial.

I'm sorry kim22, that's a lot going on. How awful for her family, I'm so sorry. Hopefully C is in the clear for and T's eye is ok.

I've had such a crazy week that I am thankful I have tomorrow off, even if it's to run around and take B to the Dr and a haircut.
I have a bunch of not fun HR issues at work
1 - sexual Harassment, from which I had to interview a number of people and have an incredibly awkward conversation with them 2 - having to fire someone who has been employed here for almost 20 years (I've been here 23). I was at her wedding, I know her husband, etc. But she's doing a terrible job - not through lack of trying but lack of ability to treat people right and she hasn't improved. She manages a bunch of people and morale is terrible and it all seems to be going back to her. It's fire her, or risk losing 3-4 other employees of a company of less than 50. 3 - trying to find replacements for the 2 people that have already left under her, while trying to find her replacement "quietly" 4 - the myriad of other ridiculous issues we have here. I swear I could write a book.

Hope all goes well with your neurologist, tallb. Thanks - he says he thinks I'm prob fine but doing a test tomorrow to confirm. I passed the exam minus the random question of Bush's vp🤦without a few clues. So embarrassing, lol.

Charlie and the car seat may be the death of me. It’s a struggle to get him in or out — he needs to do to it, but he can’t do the bottom part of the harness ( in or out) and wants no help. Then there’s the crying. He cries when we leave the house because he wants to stay home (said with at least 17 O’s), then he reverses the cry when we leave wherever we are bc he wants to stay (that also has about 17 a’s) I know it’s stage, but it is exhausting ETA: This entire scenario makes me extremely snappish at Josie (who has done nothing wrong), but I want her just do the things she’s supposed to do without being prompted or having to answer a hundred questions. I want to scream, “Read the room!” I don’t, mainly I wish I could. Oh, I see we are living a similar life. I break a sweat getting L in sometimes. She wants to climb in herself, but then refuses to do it so I have to wrestle her in cause we have to go. I also then get frustrated with C for no reason.

I don’t know how a bold or underline or highlight, but it’s the WE HAVE TO GO that no one (but me) seems to understand.

I'm ready to fire one of my drivers. I sent him a copy of his check today and he calls me to tell me I'm missing 4 loads. Well you never sent paperwork and never sent me the rate agreements so HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU EXPECT ME TO KNOW TO PAY YOU FOR THEM. If I don't know they exist, I can't pay you for it! I'm so sick of this. Every fucking week.
