So it looks like our best bet for H's bday party is the planetarium. It is cheap to rent, can fit all.our guests, close to home, and they'll put on a show of our choosing (lasers, dinosaurs, etc) for the kids. Do I need to change my theme if it's not space related at all lol

I'm ready for the weekend. I woke up this morning to a covering of snow on the ground. No thank you.

So H was talking in his sleep at about 3am. Eventually MH went to check on him and ended up changing his diaper. He thinks it was his teeth bothering him, I feel bad but a sleep talking baby is kind of adorable lol.

Hello. I’m at work, pumping. Only getting like 2-3 oz total. My already-dwindling supply seems to have been affected even more by the mastitis. I’m so ready to be done!

We'd just hear babble and then real words (dog, tick tock, and no were popular).

Chilly day here (not comparatively though lol). I strapped ds2 into his high chair and am throwing Cheerios at him so I can drink my coffee without also making sure he's not pulling my dining room chairs down on himself, eating floor bits, climbing the stairs, or banging on my grandma's antique china cabinet. He was up twice to nurse so despite the solids yesterday he wanted more boob. 🤷

Morning. -2c here this morning (I’m too lazy to convert right now lol). DD2 is entering a leap. She stood for the first time independently yesterday in the middle of the hallway. I’ve been busy listing more crap on fb and getting ready for DD1’s birthday party on Saturday. I went to Costco yesterday, I know why I’m not allowed to go there. Came home with a dollhouse for the girls. I won’t give it to them for a couple of years though 🤷♀️🤦♀️.

My H is officially gone for 8 days. DS1 came into my room at 5 and started to cry that daddy wasn’t there. He fell back asleep and then was fine once we were up for the day. I had back to back meetings this morning so I haven’t pumped yet. I’m going to get lunch and then pump and start working. I’m so looking forward to this weekend!

Like come on. Ds1 pretty effectively ignored him though lmao.

TGIT!
I'm anticipating the girls walking independently anytime now. Siena can stand on her own for a bit, but it freaks her out. Paris walks along everything (the walls, the cabinets, the furniture) and I keep thinking she's going to let go at any moment. Gianna (DD1) was already walking by now (super early before 9mos) and it was the same day she learned to stand independently, so I might just be jaded by her. When I took their 10mo photos the other day (which we do in a chair) they wanted to stand up the whole time and then kept knocking each other over LOL. I can't believe my babies are so big!! The whole year has gone by so quickly, but even quicker now that I've been back to work. I'm counting down the days to when I'm leaving my job and reeeeaally looking forward to being home more with them again.

Wow belle0720, your kids are so advanced, hehe. DD's half day at daycare went okay. It took her awhile to fall asleep for her nap. She was in a room with another kid who was not sleeping yet though, so I think that's asking a lot of her? To sleep in a new room with another probably loud kid? Daycare teacher made it seem like a huge issue 🙄 maybe just because I said that cry it out doesn't really work for her (or me). Tomorrow I'll ask her to either put her down first or after the other kid falls asleep. Also I'll get her up a bit earlier so she'll be tired a bit earlier. 🤷 Thoughts?

It’ll be an adjustment but she’ll nap there eventually! Honestly ds2 is hit or miss on naps at daycare. At home he takes two and at daycare he usually fights the morning nap, takes an hour afternoon nap and then snoozes in the car on the ride home. Don’t stress about it!

N has double ear infections. Whomp whomp. Daycare called me after three hours and said they couldn’t comfort him so I picked him up and got him into the pediatrician this afternoon. Back on cefdinir after only about 2 weeks. Luckily we already had his second flu shot scheduled with DS1’s 3 year appt on 11/2 so the doctor is going to do an ear check. If they aren’t cleared up he is going to have to get antibiotic injections since he can’t take penicillin/amoxicillin. I having a feeling we’ll end up with tubes with him.
In better news...he is up to 26% (19lbs 7oz) in weight and 31% (29”) in height!! This is amazing considering he spent most of his life in 2-5%. We are so super excited. Apparently eating like a horse pays off. (Even if he sleeps through his meals - if you saw the instagram post 😂)

Ds1 started daycare at 6 months old and it took him a couple weeks before he was napping regularly there. He still did a nice long nap for us on the weekends though (despite shorter naps at school). They cannot let a baby cry for more than like 8 minutes or something at our daycare. So no cio. Honestly, I would let the daycare teacher do her business. IME, yes, I know my child better BUT they (experienced childcare providers, obvi not always the case but you know what I mean) know how children are collectively better than me. I would ask how long babies are allowed to cry, if you are concerned about it.

roloma ugh. Poor guy. Ds1 had the antibiotic shots when he was around a year old for a persistent ear infection. No tubes though! And I don't want to jinx myself but he is relatively healthy now. I hope he is feeling better soon!
