Rainy start to the week over here, which I don’t really mind! It cools everything down and makes us feel more “cozy” at home when it thunderstorms. It’s as close as Southeast Asia gets to Hygge 🤣😂
My haircut is working out well - I could style it really easy today, and DH said I look like a chic French chick. Hahaha - I’ll take it!
I think we have more teeth on the horizon for LO - he’s been very drolly/bite-y. Reminds me of below onesie:
More teeth here too - or so I think. LO was a hot mess from 9pm-12am. We ended up giving some Tylenol but I can hear fussing on the monitor now at 5:30.
Just work today. I’m going to try to cut back to one pump as LO is a year tomorrow. I’m looking forward to having that time back but worried what that will mean for my supply. I don’t want to dry up but I can’t keep using all my free moments at work to pump either. I’ll still pump at lunch for now.
danvers like was for commiseration. We dosed LO with motrin around 10:30 PM. He did ok after that until 2:45. Then I was up with him again at 4:30. He seems SO uncomfortable.
I took today off. I'm really looking forward to a day at home where I don't have to work (from home) or have a baby and a toddler ruling the day. I have a lot of chores to do but I'm still relieved to have a little peace and quiet.
E has figured out that it's kind of fun to throw everything off various places. Shes currently on the chaise part of the sofa throwing the remote, a spool of ribbon, a spool of tulle and the Fire remote off the couch. Shes trying to throw her unplugged keyboard off the sofa but she hasn't figured out the USB and cable are attached to the actual keyboard, so that's not going well.
I have a parent/teacher conference later this morning I’m not looking forward to. I go back and forth from being defensive to wanting to give the teacher a bonus for having to deal with my kid daily.

We dosed LO with Motrin at 10:30pm last night too. I hope tonight is better 🤞🤞
Hope you enjoy your day off! Even if it’s focused on doing chores - sometimes it’s nice to have that peace and quiet to yourself and feel the accomplishment of checking stuff off your list.
Currently pouring rain in Phoenix, it’s so weird! A guy told us it’s because of the hurricane off the coast but we’ve never gotten more than a few drops of rain here so it’s very strange! It’s supposed to clear up this afternoon but then torrentially rain tomorrow, like 30-40 mm 😳 Thankfully it is clear and dry for when we go to Disneyland!

Bleh! Got my pp period this weekend. We’ve been having intermittent internet issues last week. Hubs is pissed. Luckily he’s been able to use his hotspot. Luckily I wasn’t working too. My huge ass data files wouldn’t have made it to clients. I’ll have to catch up later. Been busy too and project first birthday cake has commenced.

It’s not cool when baby throws stuff off the changing pad especially his pee cloth. So far I haven’t been hosed but 🤷🏻♀️

danvers thanks for asking after my babe! She has no teeth and isn’t crawling yet. She’s loving solids and generally very happy. Night sleep is hit or miss. She just turned 8 months last week!
She loves the new things she can do w her voice. She figured out how to gurgle a d say uh oh and does it all day!

Those that were dairy free, hv you tried to re introduce yet?
I’ve been dairy and soy free for a little over 6 months. My mom mistakenly gave the baby some yogurt bites last week. I was expecting a horror show and there was no change in her mood, comfort level or sleep. I’m wondering if I slowly try to re introduce.

Maybe I’ll feel differently when she hits a year but I’m looking forward to no longer nursing. She’s still nursing 8 times a day pretty much. I do not feed her at night so these are all packed into the day and it’s a lot at this point.

I took the day off work. It was nice to be home by myself. Then my niece, who is a senior in HS, had a volleyball game nearby. Little surprising because they live 1.5 hours away, but I went to that by myself while MIL watched the boys. I coached almost her entire varsity squad when they were in youth volleyball in 4-6 grades so it was super fun to watch them after all these years.

I would try to reintroduce slowly if the yogurt bites went okay. Literally the same thing happened with LO earlier this week - someone gave him DS1’s Mac and cheese, and I thought it was going to be horrible, but - surprise surprise, he was fine. I am lactose intolerant, so I don’t have too much dairy as a matter of course, but yesterday I had Parmesan cheese on a salad at lunch and a small cup of caramel custard - LO is fine. I’m going to keep upping the dairy in LOs diet and see what happens 🤞🤞

Sounds like most of O17 mama's got a hair appointment recently lol! I am so happy I found a great lady that knows how to cut my hair! She did such a great job again. I can literally just wash and go. She gave me such a good neck and shoulder massage to boot. Love her. This week is so busy with appointments for the kids and getting stuff for lil fella's party. I cannot believe he's going to be 1 tomorrow! danvers!!!! I am also super excited for DS, I invited his "best" friend from school and I know he's going to be incredibly excited - hoping the kids don't get sick. I also found some cool looking ombre candles - looks better in a group but whatever - I like them....aaaannnddd first PP period can suck it!
We are having a rough morning so far. E smooshed over half her prune pouch all over herself this morning and is now crying and rubbing her eyes, and we still have an hour until nap time.

I’ve got the baby down from 2-3 wake ups to 1-2 wake ups at night and no nursing to sleep. I can’t wait to get a full nights sleep hopefully by the end of this month I can eliminate all night wake ups.

Forgot to add we have 2 more teeth... top front two finally broke through. She was less grumpy then when the bottom 2 came in so I was surprised they had come through.
Oh hey - my baby is 1 today. I’m not sure where a year went but now we’re one now.
DD1 wants to buy a present for DD2 so we’re headed to Walmart after school today to pick one up. She wants to wrap it herself and everything. Go for it kid - H and I need to start cleaning to get ready for DD2s party this weekend so hopefullynpresent wrapping occupies lots of time.
Birthday girl was a hot mess tonight, I see tooth #9 poking through and she cannot be put down or out of my sight for a minute. We had scrambled eggs for dinner though and she was able to rally for food 😂
I’m beat and it’s only Tuesday. So much cleaning to do before this weekend. I’m having a hard time getting cleaning done because I’m distracted by all the organizing I need to do! So much to do, so little time...
I forgot my pumping stuff at home but luckily keep a spare battery-operated single pump my car. I can’t eat my lunch and pump since I have to hold it. But otherwise it works. I will have to teach writing and eat my lunch this afternoon.
I get to leave work a few minutes early so I can take DD2 to her 1yr doctors appointment. I think we’re due for shots. Ugh. This bottom tooth she’s cutting is already wearing us out but coupled with shots and 😬

So birthday boy got an awesome present from big bro yesterday. A Cold 😡😩☹️😒 last night was rough coupled with DS waking at 430 asking to go potty. Like dude! You know how to go on your own but he said it was dark and couldn’t see anything 🤷🏻♀️ We also just got back from the pedi for well and unwell visit plus he got shots too so I have a really fussy grump here and I’m dragging. Good news is I’m glad we ended up not having his party this weekend which would’ve been postponed and I am also done with his cake bunting and started modeling marzipan last night. Hoping to at least finish the train tonight then I can make the other fun bits and bobs.

danvers we have a teething baby and go for his well visit (shots) Friday. Homecoming is Friday night and family pictures are Saturday. I remember thinking, "oh......it'll be ok......" when I scheduled the picture session. Now that it is here, UGH.
duskymonkey, that's a terrible present. Hope he feels better asap!

I’m glad I’m not the only one with a fussy kid. I think it’s a tooth. She’s been chewing on everything. She was up one and off until 1130 last night until we gave her Motrin and even then she was hard to get back down.
danvers I cut down to one pump a day at work for about 2 weeks and now I’m mostly not pumping at work. Unless I get uncomfortable or she doesn’t nurse much in the morning before I leave.
rebeccabunch we accidentally introduced dairy about 3 weeks ago and she was fine. Thank goodness. It’s easy to give her a bottle of cows milk and give the kids the same foods.
I’m trying to wean myself off using her owlet monitor at night. It’s such a mind fuck. I mean it does nothing I get that, but it gives me piece of mind. Hold me.
