Please also expand on where you eat and who eats when if you so choose. Tell me everything, I'm so curious.

It depends on what's for dinner.
If it's a one-pot or casserole kind of meal, we carry empty plates to the stove and each scoop up what we want. If it's things like burgers or chicken, I portion out food onto dinner plates and set them on the dinner table.
Rarely do I move food from the stove/oven to serving dishes and then put serving dishes and empty plates on the table.

But mostly, DS eats a prepared plate of food alone at the table and H and I eat prepared plates or takeout containers of food on the couch after bedtime.

I plate everything and call them over, but my kids are too young to plate themselves. When we do larger dinners with my parents, it’s a buffet style. Everything is out in the kitchen and we make a plate and move to the dining room.

I try to get the food for my girls first so it has time to cool down a little before they stuff their face. Then my h and I make our plates and sit down. Our kitchen is rather small, so typically leave the food on the stove and serve it from there.

Normally I prepare plates before calling everyone to dinner. Exceptions are holidays, then it’s family style.

We do family style for almost everything. I rarely use serving vessels, though. Most things just come to the table in what they were cooked in as long as it fits.
I serve the baby and DH and I split serving DS, but the rest of us get our own food. We eat at the table together every night, even if someone is not there because of work or other activities. Occationally, we'll eat in the living room if we are watching a movie or a game together.

We eat family style. Everything is on the table and kids serve themselves. I do plate dessert separately.

I fix the kids plates and if something needs cutting, H does that before putting plates on the table. The 2 older girls can get their own 2nds but it is just too much to have everyone do their own plates for the first round. H fixes his own plate usually but sometimes I do it to be quicker. I’m all about being efficient at dinner.

We used to do family style but my toddler octopus will knock serving dishes off the table now if I put them there, so it's prepared plates for everyone. If you want more, you get it from the stove/counter.

I make the kids plates first & bring them to the table. The rest of the food goes on the table and H and I serve family style for ourselves and seconds to the kids if any is requested.

Mostly buffet I guess.
If we are all eating together (the 3 of us) then usually I or MH plate the little girl's food and let her sit and start while we plate ours and then we sit, say grace, and eat.
If I didn't cook for all of us then one of us (usually H) fixes her dinner and we sit in her general vicinity while she eats and then we eat whatever each of us wants later on the couch or whatever.

It depends on what’s for dinner. Sometimes I leave the food in the kitchen and other times I set it on the table family style. Either way though, I make the kids plates and serve them. If it’s family style and they want more they scoop it themselves. I can probably count on one hand the times I’ve made MH a plate.
We all eat at the kitchen table together. MH joins us whenever he gets home from work so we do sometimes start without him. We can see the tv from our kitchen table so some days we eat with it on and other days we chat about our day.
We don’t usually make the kids stay at the table when they are done but we typically all finish around the same time anyways.

Mostly it's buffet. We are teaching DS to make his own plate. Sometimes, DH will make everyone's before we sit. Sometimes, we eat in front of the tv. Big holiday meals is typically buffet and then we pray so everyone waits until everyone has a plate and is seated. There isn't a large group so it doesn't take long.

We serve buffet style. Dishes on the counter and/or stove, we all walk through and eat together at the table.
We used to do family style, but SD's compulsiveness made it so that she felt like she *had* to keep eating if there was food in front of her. Buffet also allows us to use a smaller table, which fits our space better.

Food stays on the stove and either MH or I plates it up for everyone (just MH and I and almost 3 year old), or we serve ourselves from the stove or counter and one of us makes a plate for the kid. Sometimes serving dishes go on the table if it's not too big (our table is small-ish). Dinner is eaten at the table together nearly every night, and DD stays till we are done even if she doesn't want to eat. Breakfast or lunch are sometimes eaten on the couch depending on what it is. Eventually I want DD to be able to serve herself, but she's not there yet.

It's me, my mom, and DS, and usually the food is on the counter or stove. Mom tends to dip up DS's plate to cool a bit first, just a habit of hers. I let her get her food, and then I get mine.
ETA: All three of us eat at the table.

It depends. Typically we plate the food for the girls first and then buffet line or plate the adults depending on the meal and who is serving it. When we do something like tacos it’s family style.

nobody I live with is capable of making their own plate. DS would drop food everywhere and DH would take the equivalent of 10 helpings and leave none for me.
Animals, really.
We eat at the kitchen table.

We all eat at the kitchen table and usually I prepare the plates and put them on the table as my H gets the kids situated at the table and in the high chair. My kids are still young though, so maybe this will change as they get older.
I hate clutter on the table so family style would drive me crazy.

Family style would be way too much work and too many dishes. I'm not a heathen; I can't put a pot on my dinner table. While I prepare my girls' plates dh is usually plating ours. We do buffet style and eat at the table together with placemats and cloth napkins bc we love the earth

We make the kids' plates first and get them eating, then we make ours. We eat at the counter seating area, so we're still in the kitchen with them.

I prepare plates, but we all help set the table. We eat in the dining room (the only table in our flat) with the babies in bouncers next to us.
We also eat lunch together in the weekends. Breakfast is DD alone, because my H and I typically just have coffee.

I cook while MH and oldest set the table. I plate everything. Serve kids first. MH immediately feeds the baby, and then himself. I sit down to eat once everybody has started. As soon as the baby finishes, MH takes him upstairs and puts him to bed, while I eat with my oldest. MH comes back down and finishes if he has any food left and does dishes, while he talks to us.

Depending on the meal I normally have serving dishes on the table, with an initial portion already served. We always eat at the dining room table.
We all sit down together and say "Guten Appetit" (which means good hunger literally) and then we eat and talk about our days.
The boys can ask to be excused when they're done and they normally put all the dishes in the dishwasher, my H normally packs any leftovers away and I clean up the kitchen while H brings the boys upstairs to bed.
