I don’t serve any adult. They have arms. I usually eat after ds is asleep but I sit with him while he eats and we talk. No TV during dinner 98% of the time. I do, just the way I was brought up. Dad was served first, then kicks, then Mom. No one starts until everyone has their plate. Everyone stays at the table until the last one was done. Now after serving DH first he’s usually done by the time I sit down, lol.

How old are your kids? Why do you accept this, you aren't their servant? 4, 2 and 1. With the kids it's a stage in life right now. We are working on them helping me. Dh? I have no idea. Habit I guess. Wow! I'm sure those ages together are a challenge. But the 4 year old and 2 year old can start helping with setting the table. It won't be perfect but they can do it. Same with drinks. With your H I bet if you tell him what you need him to help with he'll gladly do it, having two people plate and bring the food to the table should make it that everyone can eat together.
