Responding to y'all here: crimsonandclover, so sorry about the tick. I'd be spiraling as well. FX it turns out to be nothing. Glad you had a fun hike though! copperboom, rant away girl! I finally had to go look up your new SN. Love it! nellieoleson, DD LOVES Moana! It is my secret weapon now. I'm not proud of this.

Ugh Monday. It was very disorienting logging in to my work computer today and going through all the email that came in over the past week while I was on vacation. WHY does vacation need to end? I picked up some new Shampoo/Wash & Conditioner for DD over the weekend. She was always waking up with a rat's nest in her hair and starting to get tangles. We used it in the bath last night and the conditioner made a huge difference. She woke up with a silky head of hair instead of a bungled rat's nest. I have a consult this afternoon to have my baby tooth pulled. Wah! I do not want to go through this process. I'm gonna need an implant in the end which is $$$$ and probably not comfortable until it's done.

scorpioscuba I've been using conditioner in DD1's hair since she was 2. She has really curly hair. Plus in the morning we were having to use detangler. We found "It's A 10" miracle something and it goes in when it's wet and then when I spray her hair with water in the morning it reactivates. It's expensive but it works on everyone's hair in the house. I'll get a picture of DD1's hair and the product. And I also have a baby tooth still and hate going to the dentist because they make it hurt and more loose. I don't want it pulled as it's a canine but know it will eventually need done along with the implant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a baby tooth that maybe needs to come out too. My dentist kind of glossed over it, and said it would be up to the orthodontist whether or not we pulled it. I don't think I'll need an implant though, because the adult tooth that was supposed to replace grew in in front of it instead, and just misaligned another one. So braces should fix it all.

I'm so jealous of all the babies with hair. M has some, but still not a lot. Even less than S had at this age. I'm hoping it starts growing faster soon

My H and I are having such a stereotypical male/female butting of heads, and it's so annoying!
Me: I noticed this problem with the chimney.
H: Okay. Well I don't know what you want me to do about it.
Me: I don't want you to do anything! I'm just pointing out what I saw and what I read about it online.
H: What do you want me to do? Keep everyone away from the fireplace or something? I don't know what to tell you.
Me: ........
UGH. I mean, am I not supposed to talk to him about something unless immediate action is required?

sjames2015 that hair!! Wow! Dd1 is in a mood. She's actually growling at me. I took her to her room, but now she's sitting at the door growling. I'm trying to infinite it as long as she stays in there, but seriously kid! We biked I the library this morning and she was great. Now she's being mean to everyone. So frustrating. Dd3 is on antibiotics for what they thought was MRSA but the culture was negative and the rx isn't helping her sores. I've been on hold 10 minutes waiting to ask a nurse to have the doctor call me. Is anyone else will nursing? Dd3 goes days with nursing outside of nap and bedtime and then some days (today!) she wants all the milk all the time. She fell asleep in her lunch yesterday so I'm wondering if she's not feeling great. crimsonandclover ticks gross me out and the new ones with diseases really scare me. We have a new one here too that causes lots of issues. I hope it's nothing and she is fine. Can you take it somewhere to be tested? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

dizzycooks DD2 is still nursing soo much. Morning, nap, nap, bed, motn, motn at bare minimum. If she misses a nap usually she'll nurse at another time. She sometimes still nurses 8 times a day. Ugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk No home warranty. They aren't that common here except on new construction or "flipped" houses. The market is way too hot. The thing with the chimney is a musty smell that only started once the weather warmed up and we started using the AC. I think it's a problem with negative pressure in the house pulling chimney air in, but I want to make sure there isn't mold growing, which is a common issue in the rainy PNW. I don't think the last owner ever used the fireplace, so we probably need an inspection and cleaning, anyway. The home inspectors just examine the structural integrity of the chimney, not the inner workings, so I need to call a chimney/masonry specialist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

dizzycooks, yes still nursing. First thing in the am and bedtime for sure. Before naps if I'm not at work and then through out the day she will ask. I'm trying to distract her or feed her a snack but sometimes she's insistent and I give in. I'm really ready to be done honestly. I have a business trip next week where I will be gone Tuesday evening through Friday evening and I'm hoping that will help us cut way back. It's hard to say no to her because she says "nuk, peeeese!" and signs please. It's adorable.

dizzycooks - dd2 still nurses often. At least once in the morning, nap, probably two or three times in the afternoon, bedtime, and a few times motn. sjames2015 - I can't believe she still takes 2 naps! My dd2 is a mess at bedtime if she sleeps any later than 2 pm during the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fwiw our chimney smells musty in humid weather too. It functions fine, I've never had it looked at though so I think an inspection by a chimney company would be appropriate.

My mother just called. 45 minutes ago. Naptime is now half over. I answered bc I figured the world must be ending as she has called me 5 times starting at 7am. I realize someday I'll be glad she wants to chat and I'll miss it, but today is not the day. I listened to how tired she was from doing some household chores (that I'd love to get to do myself) and how she took a nap yesterday and then just sat and watched movies and sewed all afternoon and evening. And she's tired. 😒

So I started streaming work outs during nap time in hopes that some physical activity will help improve my mood. The whining from the baby is putting me over the edge. He doesn't have many words, though he tries. nellieoleson that response from your H would annoy me. Don't get mad, H, when I call someone to come fix it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We were never nursing, but M still has 2 or 3 bottles in a day. She gets one first thing in the morning, nap time most days, and bedtime. We make one for overnight, but she's mostly been sleeping through.

Thank goodness for Facebook messenger and shared pinterest boards. Because I'm the only one with an Android phone, I can't group text with my mom, sister and BFF, but I can group message them on Facebook. So we've managed to plan a paint nite rip off for a few weeks from now. We even agreed on a painting. Woo hoo!

sjames2015, that hair! scorpioscuba, good luck with the tooth. I had to get an implant for a different reason and it was a process, but it's fine now. The Dr that did the work had better novo/lidocaine than my regular dentist, so even though it sounded unpleasant I couldn't feel anything at all. Let me know if you have any questions about it. We're still nursing here too - 2-4 times a day about. I'm swamped at work again. And we've extended our childcare hours to about 8-6 now, so it seems like there's so little time at the end of the day to fit in a dog walk, dinner, and bedtime. Argh.

tinydancer, did you need a bone graft or anything? My bone isn't thick enough (because baby tooth apparently) so they are doing a bone graft and sinus lift to fit the implant properly after the extraction. All this has to be done under general anesthesia. 😳ðŸ˜
