pinkcat I know we were talking last week about issues with pumping. I was short a bottle to pump in the other day and so I pumped one side and then did the other in the same bottle and had so much b tree luck. I’ve been doing this for 3 days now and my output is up where I think it should be and I’m not getting any more clogs so far. I actually feel like I’m being drained fully.

I’m mentally exhausted. I am not going into it but I had a huge argument with Gs bus driver and matron this morning. You can post stalk me if you want details.
The baby has been cranky today. He is working on tooth number 6 so he is fussy. I need a break but I have work tonight.

I'm so glad it helped your output!! I have actually been pumping one side along the whole time- I never quite got the hang of double pumping. Maybe I should try that and it will have the opposite effect!

I’m still pretty upset. I really really hate confrontation and I really don’t like complaining. I hope it gets easier for me too.

N is a confident cruiser too. It’s not too surprising because her sister was walking solo at 10 months, brother at 12. So we’ll see lol. She solidly has two teeth in which only two at this point is waaay less than the first two as well so it’s also strange being so much later than them! We successfully transitioned to formula this week too. It just kind of happened, and things are going well (see:better) sleep wise and such so I was happy to just keep going with it. It’s crazy how much everything is changing again. Being our last I know some things we are just done now so it’s allll bittersweet this time around.

We're dropping the crib this weekend because Liv is starting to stand and pull herself up. She's tall so I don't want her to fall out. I just watched her sit up from being on her belly. I'm basically a jungle gym.

A 6 mile run and two soccer games down. A birthday party to go. I can’t wait to get home and put on sweat pants for the rest of the day!

This baby finally cut her first tooth yesterday, actually two of them. They’re just barely exposed, just the teeniest speck of tooth showing. I’m hoping this means her recent habit of waking up 6-7 times over night could come to an end. 🤞🏻
And today and yesterday I left her for the first time. Yesterday H and I went out to dinner (belated 8 year anniversary and also BIL opening his new restaurant) and H’s mom watched the girls. All went well except the last 20 minutes baby was tired and crying. Flipped her shit when we finally got home.
And today we were gone 3.5 hours to see my friend perform (the lead in Holiday Inn!). I left them with my sister (who also has two girls) so she got to pretend she had four kids under 5. Sounds like it went really well, and baby didn’t cry at all! I’m glad we’re at least at the stage where she can eat some food, so not taking a bottle doesn’t matter as much.

Oh also, E (8.5 months) is definitely a little slow with mobility compared to other babies here. She can sit, flop over and roll. But she can’t go from lying to sitting, doesn’t pull to standing, definitely not cruising, and not crawling.
It was a little funny - we were hanging with a baby friend her age who was cruising all over the place. E was sitting on the floor and just....face-planted. ☹️

She is SO CLOSE and scooches a little bit. And she definitely isn’t sitting up from her belly yet or remotely close to pulling herself to stand. She will pull up on her knees though.

Liv, why are you waking up every 90 minutes now? Mommy needs to sleep.

Today is my first day off since the 3rd, I’m so happy excited! My husband said he would take the baby out in the bike trailer so I can nap.
And, after a week of decreasing the amount of food in H’s bottle each night for his overnight wake up, he’s now slept through the night twice in a row! We spent 6 weeks thinking he would just grow out of it because he slept through the night before. I should have started the bottle decrease ages ago. Now if I could just sleep though the night lol.

sarahh I asked the doctor about H not being able/willing to feed himself. He seemed a bit surprised but said “don’t worry about it, if it doesn’t change in the next couple of months, you’ll get sick if it, eventually refuse to feed him and just let him cry until he does it himself”. Our doctor is a bit of a no nonsense kind of guy lol. H is now 19 lbs 11oz and 29.5” tall. I think he said that’s over 95th percentile for height. He’s already getting too tall for some of his 12 month footed sleepers!

H and I ran around running errands all morning yesterday, which means there was no morning nap. Then she fought her afternoon nap to the death and ended up snoozing for 20 minutes. Surprisingly she didn't have a total meltdown at SD's birthday dinner.
I think we're just hanging at home until H leaves for the airport. Fingers crossed for an actual nap. I need to start packing for our trip. We leave Thursday and I feel behind.

Trying not to lose my cool with the preschooler. We are sharing a room and he's being so f*#@ing loud. It's going to wake baby eventually. I came to the living room to calm down.

As one of the older babies, I think Ian is right on target for mobility. I don’t think he is particularly ahead or behind. He is definitely crawling and he move himself from sitting to crawling to laying and all positions in between. However he has not pulled himself to stand yet without help. He is very close. He gets to his knees or he gets on his feet but isn’t standing straight. He will get there. I am not worried. G was an early walker at 10mo. My friends DD didn’t walk until 16mo or so. The range of normal is pretty wide at this point.
This is all to say, I wouldn’t worry too much either way.

Took baby’s 9 month pic this weekend! She still doesn’t have any teeth but is close to crawling (she gets around the room now by army crawling and rolling) and can stand with support. She is just now able to get from laying to sitting but one leg is usually awkwardly under her. Sounds like this is where a lot of us are right now

The baby is horribly constipated. He’s pooped two hard nuggets since yesterday but screams when he does. He went from pooping multiple times a day up until like 5 1/2 months old and now we’re lucky if he poops once a week. It was one of the reasons I was hesitant to up his solids. I feel horrible for him when he’s screaming.

kbw We has surprisingly good look with puréed pears when the baby was constipated. Apparently P foods are supposed to be good (prunes, peaches, pears, etc). We got lucky on the first one we tried and have now used it a handful of times.
