DD1 was sweet beyond measure this morning. In the evening we always “talk about our day” (her phrasing each night 😂 it is most definitely a bedtime stalking tactic but I love it so whatever). I told her my day was rough yesterday because my students made “red choices” and wouldn’t listen. So this morning as we’re giving our goodbye hugs and kisses she tells me “I hope you have a good day today mommy. I hope your students listen today”. 😭
Aside from me melting into a puddle of mushy mama emotions, DD1 has soccer tonight and since H is going to his parents after school to help with the harvest I’ll probably just do pizza before practice.

We are on the way home from the hospital, endoscopy went well. Doctor spoke to us after and said the damage looked consistent with celiac but we have to wait for the biopsy results. DD is doing well and napping from the anesthesia. I’m so thankful that everything went as planned and thankful that this is the most serious issue we’ve had to deal with... it was hard seeing those other kids and parents.

bootsorhearts1 I hope she sleeps soon for you - ugh.  DD2 had a night like that last night, I tried to let her fuss for awhile but then realized it turned into full fledged screaming at 2am. DD2 does not "cry it out" like DD1 did so H or I usually have to rock her till she calms down. I hope she's asleep for you soon. August Blooms I'm glad it went smoothly for you. DD1 is getting her tonsils out at the end of October and will have to have anesthesia. Did you prepare your DD for it somehow? Videos? Books?

DD2 had a menu for daycare lunches next week. She is legally allowed to be served the "school food" once she is one year of age. I cannot wait. Once less meal to prepare and get ready in the morning! I will have to send a lunch Monday but that's it! Woo Who!
Also though... having all the feels about baby turning 1.

So far this party is not going well. I ordered a $500 custom dairy free birthday cake with a companion smash cake and I ordered it for 2 then changed the time of the party to 10 and forgot to call the bakery. So I’m going to get a grocery store sheet cake 😭

August Blooms I’m so happy everything went okay with the endoscopy! danvers That is so sweet what your DD1 said. My DS1 told me the other day that “hearts were coming out of him,” because he loves me. Like hearts floating out of a cartoon to express their love. Soooo cute. 😊❤️😍💕

So far this party is not going well. I’m also surprised the bakery was cutting it that close with having it made. Ok just read your other post glad it worked out and didn’t cost $500! It was beautiful. 🌹 |

I’m getting my hair cut and colored at a new place. I was like make me look better. I blindly trust you. Do whatever! 🤞 I don’t think the timing will work to pump though and I’m already getting uncomfortable. I can’t wait to move through life without boob concerns.

I just did exactly that with my hair today!! How did it turn out?!? I don't have a before, but my hair was too long and blah. My last cut was in January. Sorry if it's huge. I got some balayage. I spent a lot of $$ too. But I love it!  |

danvers I actually made a post on GD about it. Consensus was to not say too much about it prior and then day of just keep it simple. Since we’ve done bloodwork a few times she was scared that someone was going to stick her with a needle when they took her temperature, blood pressure and checked her heart. Once she saw she wasn’t going to get stuck she was fine. DH went in the OR with her and they had scented laughing gas and he got her to smell it. It went pretty smoothly, she was tired from the anesthesia the rest of the day but is 100% back to her normal self today.

Me: She will drink either.
MIL: Is she all done drinking... you know.... [gestures towards me] you?
Me: Does she still drink breastmilk? Yes. We still nurse when we’re together. But she can have some whole milk tonight too, it’s fine.

I also got a cut and color today. All my regrowth came in gray. It was ridiculous. And she took off about 5” which removed my leftover balayage. So my hair feels super short and looks really dark to me now. I think I’ll like it tomorrow.

codex320 we got very similar cuts! I also went darker and cut off 5 inches. I’ve been balayaging for 3 years and my hair was way too light and not working w my skin tone.

We had LO's party today. I'm beat. It went fine but I don't like hosting so it really wears me out.
We had our house cleaned yesterday and they missed a couple things, one of which has been a recurring problem. I text the owner and she offered to send them back Monday for another full cleaning.
I mean, I'm not gonna turn that down! So nice to have a clean house before guests come, but also so so so great to have a full cleaning after hosting a party. 👍

Guys, E has another tooth. 6 in 5 weeks! 😳 My daycare provider asked me if I thought he was getting molars. Umm, no, why? She showed me white, swollen spots on both sides in his mouth, in back. What the.....? He's too little for molars. But I mean, it might explain some things. Idk though, still seems awful early. I'm going to ask the dr at his one year visit next Friday. |

I need to get my hair cut and colored so badly. The problem is that I like to do semi-permanent dye, so I don’t get a tell-tale line growing out, but like none of the salons here understand what semi permanent hair dye is. Sigh. It’s so common in the states! The 2 salons that have what I want charge sooooo much. I can’t pay $200 for just a simple semi-perm coloring treatment. That seems insane, right??

I got my hair cut today - I love it! No color, but I use a conditioner with some hair color in it, so I hope that will kind of keep the grays manageable for the time being.
He gave me a lob, with a kind of a quasi long/sweep bang (which I can still tuck behind my ear if my hair is up). The sweep bangs/layering in the front help hide my baby hairs from the post-partum hair re-growth, and it is a nice little update to my look. I also love how my hair is still long enough to put up in a pony tail too. Hopefully it looks good tomorrow when I try to style it on my own. 🤞🤞

Such a busy week this week that I haven’t checked in! I am currently hanging out with DS in my parent’s bedroom of their place in Phoenix (they don’t get here until tomorrow) because he is still on “home time” which is an hour ahead so it’s 7am at home and he is wide awake. Thankfully I went to bed super early last night so not really a big deal, just trying to keep him somewhat quiet so DD and DH can keep sleeping

Also, my flight here yesterday was quite possibly one of my worst flights ever. It was a tiny little 2x2 plane which is super weird, usually it’s a normal plane. Anyways, I was seated beside a lady who was quite obese and she couldn’t put the arm rest down, she was like 1/3 of the way in my seat...and I was also holding DS... I ended up half in the aisle and kept getting bumped. And then my back was so sore from trying not to be pressed against a stranger for 3 hours, so much DNW. I felt bad for her too because I know that she was embarrassed, she kept apologizing to DH (across the aisle with DD) as I tried to move and get in etc. And to make matters worse they had the heat cranked on the plane, it was so hot and stuffy and terrible 😭
