Ugh August Blooms. Hopefully she takes your suggestion and comes at Christmas or when you're traveling. LO was up every 1.5-2 hours last night. We are tired. And not really sure why our nearly one year old was acting like a newborn. 🤔 |

DS2 still isn't walking 🙄 at 1 and...what, 2 weeks? DS1 had been walking for over 6 weeks at this point! It really would make life outside so much easier and less messy.

I remember how fast all these O17 babies seem to come at the end of Sept - Oct! I am not ready to accept I will have a one year old next week.
At this point DD2 will eat just about everything which is so nice because when it’s just the girls and me then I can fix something her and I will definitely eat and DD1 will maybe eat. Last night I made Denver omelets for us (and plain scrambled eggs for DD1), DD2 and I had quite a lovely dinner eating and talking at the table (whilst her sister withered in the floor on the floor from the horribleness of it all 😂)

Taitai The one and only! That’s the argument I’m trying to make since they will have no car and nothing to do while we are at work. At least around Christmas they can use the car and go to parties. I think my MIL feels guilty about DD probably being Celiac and wants to do something to help. duskymonkey I don’t mind the IL’s they are good people for the most part but they literally do nothing but sit around so they are all up in my business all the time. Thanks for the recipes, it looks like the baby will enjoy and probably the toddler and my husband most definitely. The baby had cabbage, shiitake mushrooms and bok choy last night for the first time and ate it all up.

The baby was silent nom noming In the toddler wanted nothing to do with it. I got her to take a few polite bites which she liked but insisted she wasn’t going to eat it. |

I had plans to do a small immediate family birthday “party” but yesterday I found myself renting a mini bounce house. So looks like extended family will be invited over. I hope the weather cools a bit so everyone can stay outside.

Hiiiii. hope everyone is doing well! i was in a rough spot for a couple months but i'm doing a lot better now, i think. i started invisalign today so we'll so how that goes!
i can't believe our babies are 1 or almost 1!

It seems like as DD2! Gets older, my days get busier and go by faster. I can’t imagine what it feels likefor those of you with three kids 😳
I had a meeting the last half of the day and it got out earlier so I picked DD1 and DD2 up early and came back to school to let them play on the playground. It was beautiful out and hopefully they sleep good tonight.
Also, I’m quickly losing my motivation to meal plan as basketball gears up for H and need to step it up or the girls I will be in PB&J rut till spring. It’s just so hard to cook real meals when it’s just me and the girls ... and sometimes I don’t want that battle with DD1. I just want us to sit down and eat as a family nicely, even if it’s just the three of us.

DS2 is my pizza baby. |

In our house the toddler will eat anything and everything. The baby is the problem child when it comes to food. I dread meal time especially since I'm solo most of the time right now.
I cried on the way home from work when it really sunk in that LO will be 1 tomorrow. Where did this year go? I wanted to do some pictures tonight, on his last day before turning 1, but he was a hot mess.

Had my first hockey game of the season tonight. I really missed it, it’s an awesome group of women, one of the better players even came back to our team because the better league wasn’t as fun to play with.
Oh and now there is a bunch of drama with my IL’s and the visit. Because nothing can be easy or drama free with the MIL. 🙄

August Blooms, your ILs are Chinese right? Unfortunately it’s a cultural thing for them to mind your business. My folks are the same way but not as bad as the rest of the extended family...just another reason my sis and I decided to move very far away. I wish my parents drove, it would help us out tremendously. Really all they do is watch the kids...rather the baby now...they can’t keep up with DS - they complain he’s too high energy which is true, he is exhausting.

I forgot 9.27 was such a popular birthday day. This was the point last year I was doing everything in power to walk out/eat spicy food/have baby-type activities.
DD1 got a cavity filled today. H took her. She had to get laughing gas to chill her out but H said she did great. I got to take LO to daycare and it was nice to just spend some time cuddling and nursing this morning since I only had to get her ready. We even stopped for a donut in the way to daycare.

My FIL is but raised in Jamaica and my MIL is from Central America. It’s hard for me because my mom is so not in my business at all and has been that way forever. So it’s a very big difference. My MIL moved far away from her family because they were all up in her business. My husbands extended family has come direct from China so it gives me a good idea of how things could be. The cultural & generation gaps can be very wide. |

Keeping myself busy so I don’t think to much about DD1’s endoscopy tomorrow. It’s a fairly simple procedure but the whole OR and anesthesia has me a little freaked out. So I’ve done a ton of errands including getting DD1 a new toy and painted my front door and trim. Pizza will be for dinner and this evening I’m going for my last run before my 5 km race on Sunday.

August Blooms hope everything goes ok! Baby birthday was pretty chill yesterday. We ordered food in and she opened her presents from family. She loved her baby Stella doll. So does DS haha! Hope my baby birthday buddies had good days too. Party tomorrow, we have to clean big time 😦
