I've been mowing for over 2 hours. I'm covered in grass. Dh is delivering hay with my brother so we've got his son. My mom is mowing now since she's not capable of plating the boys food from a crock pot apparently..

Note to self: move to Maine. Preferably next door to flamingo's parent's house.

Sorry to hear about your little guy, cagoldi. I hope he heals up quick! It's stormy here, and for some reason thunder and or fireworks at bed time always shake D up. He's passed out now, luckily. Last day of preschool was today! His "moving up" ceremony is on Wednesday- should be cute! Re: swimming lessons. Unfortunately since D is a Nov. birthday, the only lessons we have here are at safety swim. Almost all of his classmates have turned 4, or are having a birthday soon. So they can participate in the local beach/pool lessons. Seems dumb, I brought ot up where I take my 7 y/o. But she said no, they have to be 4! We are surrounded by water, so it's very important he learns soon! MH and I will work with him to learn the basics, until he can start. Happy Monday is wrapping up, 4 more days until summer break 😎

The sprinkler pipe burst over the weekend at ja school in the older class. They just cancelled school for the rest of the week for them. Ugh so so crappy for everyone involved. (glad j doesn't move until labor day).
And n had a fever last night so we stayed home today. Doctor had us come in and just another virus or possibly a UTI since otherwise healthy as a horse.
Now I must catch up on work that I didn't do earlier..

Sorry about A's chin cagoldi. Not how you wanted to start your week, I'm sure. After B's finger injury two summers ago, I know stuff like that is traumatic (probably moreso for mom than kid). My sister did the same thing about this age ("sledding" on the staircase in a sleeping bag 😳) and it healed just fine, if it's any consolation.

C had fake graduation tonight. I say fake because he isn't moving into pre-k because he's an October bday. But they had him walk. There are four others in his class not moving up but I'm sad his best friend is. They'll still see each other but not as much. They performed a bunch of songs. C basically stood there with his hands in his mouth. But he danced a little. It was cute. And a teacher put together this whole video of the kids that was so cute. I won't post pics because of other kids but here is his self portrait. The teachers made the outline and then the kids selected their skin, eyes, and hair color and designed their clothes. It's too funny!

That sucks tallb. I don't know what I would do if M's school randomly closed for a week with basically no notice. M's school has 2 buildings and last summer they had to replace the floor in one of the buildings, so they rearranged one so both classes could be in one building for a month. Wish the school could have figured out something like that. Cute! wedding

Raccoon is already at it. Dh moved the dog food in the house for now. We need a solution since it's illegal to relocate them and I won't let him kill it.. Anyone want a pet Raccoon?

peachsmama catch him in a trap and then call a wildlife service. You don't want it getting in your ceiling or attic space, it will disconnect your duct work.

H's bed frame finally came today! I got it all assembled and set up myself. Then DH and I put the other bed frame and mattress downstairs for not. At some point I stepped on something and now my foot really hurts. I don't know if something is in it or not but I'm hoping it feels better in the morning. After last nights fiasco I'm going to bed early. Here is a pic of H's bed, the comforter is temporary (it's our old one) until I buy a new one.

Poor A, cagoldi. But I feel like it's almost a rite of passage. I'm bracing myself for all the injuries that come along with little boys. It totally is, it has to happen sooner or later, right? The Mom guilt is so strong right now. He didn't want to go to school today and of course I insisted he had to and reminded him he had dance class. So I guess he fell on the playground and smacked his chin on the wooden partition that separates the cement area where they ride bikes and stuff from the area with the wood chips where the climbing structures are. He was pretty good about all of it until the time came for the shot. The gash isn't wide but very deep. I could see the fat in his chin. Anyway, I had to help hold him down and he was was pleading to go home, make the doctor stop hurting him, let go of his hands. It was awful. He could not hold still so it took forever. As soon as it was over he was fine. He's milking it for lollipops and donuts. Other than my obvious concern for his cut, this made me really anxious about him holding it against me. This is irrational, I know, but I feel this way about taking him to the dentist or getting shots or anything of the sort. Again, I know that this is ridiculous and I don't even know why this crosses my mind much less seems to become a serious distraction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh man Goldi. Poor Dude. And poor you. Before long he won't even remember this. And there's nothing wrong with making a kid stick to their obligations. It didn't make the accident happen. I hope it heals quickly.

Poor dude cagoldi. He deserves all the lollipops he can eat. Don't be too hard on yourself. It happens and he will most likely forget about it next week.

So today was coworker S's day off since she is working Saturday. There is a pool at work if she will actually show up for it. Coworker J was suppose to open at 7am but texted me at 710 saying he was going to be a few hours late. He showed up at noon. I was able to make it in at 733 and the office officially opens at 730 so not bad. I left. At 715p. So long day here

The staff meetings are held in the lobby, so not even an extra room. They emailed with 4 other local preschools in the area that have offered to take 2-3 kids for the week and are pro-rating tuition for those parents at least.

wedding did C color that and write that himself? I'm impressed!!! He colored it. If you look closely they wrote the words and he traced over them. At this point he can kind of write his name but that's it. And even that is hit or miss.

And even then they could still find their way back.
