We had one more bout of throwing up last night--mostly the medicine we'd just given him, yay. But he seems to be feeling somewhat better this morning and was asking for breakfast. Still running a fever but I'll take that over the upset stomach.

mskatiep I'm sorry about your aunt and the family situation. How sad. I hope your mom can make it through all this unscathed.

Good morning. I’m at work. My coworker text me at 5 before I left my house that the ER was under lockdown and to be careful when I got here. That didn’t freak me out or anything. Apparently there were 2 people with gunshot wounds brought in and the drama was pretty much over when I got here. Plus we are on the other side of the hospital so if anything was happening it would probably be over there. It’s supposed to be 90 again today, but I think I’m just going to take a nap when I get home.

MH went to the Beyoncé & Jay Z concert last night with his sister. She called him about 30 min before it started because she found out they had an extra ticket.

Apparently they were pretty close because one of the vendors from Ciroc gave them the tickets.

I’m sure he’ll be hungover from drinking mimosas with me, then whiskey all day watching Auburn & then whatever he drank at the concert. Thank god for Uber.

Right!? Especially cause I texted him at 2:30 worried and he said, "Just finishing up, J is going to drive me home". At least he feels terrible about it, as he should!

Morning - we went to an open house for a house we had seen before and are trying to decide if we want to put an offer in. The agent called ours and the current owner is a specialist at the children's hospital and everything they did was with kids in mind, like low voc paint, no chemical sanding of floors, did radon mitigation even though it was not above safe levels. They are only moving bc they had a family emergency and couldn't stay.. I also met some neighbors and all had kids playing out front. I'm kind of thinking we should.. I'll keep you posted! It's a brick colonial and the curb appeal is 👌, just terrified of making a life decision. (It's far from my work and schools are good not great, so there are downsides).

His younger sister just started basic 2 weeks ago and his older sister has 4 kids herself. He is relatively high functioning but has never been able to do much. Works 15hrs a week at a gas station. No checking account, never paid a bill. He needs to get evaluated with a true diagnosis. My aunt and grandma always denied that there might be anything different about him, so he has never had support services or anything. My Aunts are going to bring him to a program this week to see if he qualifies for help. He lived in a house my grandma owns with his mom. She has made it abundantly clear he is not allowed to live there any longer and she doesn't care what he does. It's a mess.

Ugh that's messy mskatiep. I hope they can get an eval soon and he can get services and support. Even a case manager can make a big difference when going from no services. He sounds a lot like my cousin who had lack of oxygen at birth and is overall high functioning but like your cousin unable to earn a living wage or manage money.

Morning! We're taking the ferry to Port Jeff today with my coworkers. DH is being super weird and the boys are nuts, so this should be fun.

She slept in my bed last night and is perfectly fine this morning.

Yesterday S first soccer game was cancelled due to wet fields so we had his friends over and played in the yard. Then2 different birthday parties. We are all pooped and lounging this morning. Maybe hitting up our little town festival in a bit.

B's breakfast is staying down and he's definitely perked up. I think it'll be another day confined to the house for us. Maybe we can do a walk later. (Please, dear Lord, let everyone be well enough for school tomorrow.) Thank you all for the good thoughts!

DH is working again today, le sigh. He's going to lose 9 days of paid vacation at the end of this month (you can only keep X amount on the books each year); he's had leave scheduled but will be unable to take it.

I think I'm just in a mood, b/n the weather, being cooped up, and here all by myself with the kids so much lately. I really need some sunshine and preschool this week.

Feeling good. Pretty sure he has decided he’s never coming out though. I had what I think were more contractions last night and they would cause pressure down into my butt/tailbone but I slept okay so who knows. I’m hoping he will be here this week at least.
