I scheduled a haircut for Josie for tomorrow morning. I’ll be really sad if she loses her all waves!

I’m in Dublin having a good time. We walked around the city on Friday, checked into our room around 3 then took a much needed nap. After that we had a nice Dinner at a good restaurant. Today we went out to breakfast then left the city on a train to a smaller town that had a castle. We toured the castle and surrounding gardens then walked through the town. It was a good day. Now we just got back from dinner. Tomorrow we are taking the train to a waterfront town called Howth and doing a guided hike with a local that we found on airbnb. Then seafront dinner before heading back to Dublin. I thought my husband was mad to do Dublin in three days but we’ve adjusted to the time change easily so we were able to maximize the time. I guess we’ll see how we feel when we get home. Glad y’all are having a good time!

Maddie Moo is sick so fancy dinner is cancelled but we'll probably finish The Princess Bride. We started it last night and the girls loved it.

Hi guys! Just popping in to say hi! It’s Landon’s birthday and we had two soccer games this morning and now he’s having a birthday sleepover. Send wine and good vibes as my house is about to be descended on by EIGHT 8-9 year old boys!!!

I can feel that the ends are getting straggly so it’s time to make it a little healthier. It is her first!

cagoldi, I'm glad you aren't stressing. I hope you can put outside stress aside and focus on getting yourself in a good place. I've been thinking about you so much.

WWN13 do? DD’s class this year is 5 girls and 10 boys. When they go to art, they combine with a special education class then split into 2 art classes, each with half her class and half the special education class. There are 2 art rooms and 2 teachers and the classes go in at the same time. They have done this since kindergarten and it’s been fine. This year though, the special ed class has 11 boys and no girls. When they split them the other day, DD was made to be the only girl in her class, so basically her and like 13 boys. Her best friend is a boy as he is in the same class as her so she’s happy but I think it’s really weird of the school to put 1 girl in a class. Would you say something to the school or leave it alone since my kid wasn’t really upset by it?

Gymnastics ✔️ Swim ✔️ Party ✔️
Now we're lying around eating pizza and watching UT football, which is pointless because USC is going to cream them. And yes, I'm a longhorn.
Cadence and I went to the humane society to see a dog I had fallen in love with online. We aren't planning on getting a dog, but I wanted to meet him. Unfortunately, he was very barky towards Cadence and constantly jumping, so I felt he was too much for us.

He will randomly quote it and it cracks me up I didn’t respond the other day, but he also loves the 1st 3 Harry Potter movies. I think the rest might be a bit too dark so we haven’t watched them yet.

kim22 I wouldn’t worry about it. If she didn’t have any friends in the class or the way they split it caused her problems (being picked on) then I would talk with the school.

What would N13 do? LO was invited (the whole class really) to the little boy that taught LO all the bad things and wanted to be called “kill boy”. Would you let LO go or just give a gift?

Also I don’t think I posted yesterday. It looks like my director is going to re-organize the whole group again and I’m being considered for 4 positions and get to give input. None are promotions, 1 was one I was hoping to get but it is no longer a pay increase and 1 is completely different then what I’m currently doing with a whole new management crew up until the director. I’m going to talk to each of the managers and see what expectations they have and make my decision. I hoping for at least a small pay increase.

kim22 since she doesn't seem bothered by it I wouldn't worry. Especially since at its probably not much tkd during the week. Maddie is the only girl in get after care program and it was an issue at first but she's adjusted. chrisy01 for the most part I'm team go to every party because I always worry about no one coming. But this kid is a jerk so if you don't want L around him anymore than necessary I'd skip it.

Also how much do you spend on classmates birthdays. I don’t want to be cheap but I don’t want to spend a ton of money. There are 20 kids this year.

The kids that I consider good friends (we get together often outside of class), I increase it a bit And that seems to be the standard for what we’ve received from others Also, if we don’t go to a birthday party we don’t send a gift, unless we are good friends. We also don’t receive from those that don’t attend so this seems to be the norm

Like jewels , I also don't send a gift if we don't go. For the class troublemaker...I tend to agree with inthekitty . With that said, IME, these parties are so big that my kid doesn't even end up playing all that much with the birthday child. So if it's a fun activity and other friends are going, I might be inclined to go. Who knows, maybe you'd get some insight on why he is the way he is.

Does he play with him? Where's the party? If the whole class is there are a bounce house or something, I'd prob go. However, if I did not go, I wouldn't give a gift. I also spend about $15 for bday party gifts for classmates.

Same as the others $15-20 for the gift and only give one if we go to the party. H has only gone to one classmate party though so I don’t have tons of experience. My friends’ kids’ parties we sent a gift if we don’t go but I feel that’s different.

Speaking of parties, we were invited to a party at noon today for a friend’s little boy. I worked till 2 so DH brought the girls and I went after I got off work. Since it was 90 degrees in the middle of sept we went swimming in their community lake. It was fun, but I didn’t realize that it was basically a play date because no other men were there, just the ladies and their kids. Poor dh 😂. I didn’t take a nap this afternoon so hopefully I can go to sleep pretty quickly/easily tonight. Back at work early tomorrow.

I ordered a fake diamond wedding set off amazon for $25 bucks to wear in Mexico. I'm terrified to lose my real ones in the ocean. And omg, you wouldn't know they were fake! Gorgeous! I have to send it back for a smaller size, but I'm very happy with them. Why not just go ringless? I haven’t read the whole thread, but I was thinking the same thing. FFCS: I go without my ring all day at least once a week. I eventually notice after I’ve left the house that I forgot them, but I’m shruggy guy about it. I also never wear my ring to workout or swim. Hi! It’s been a long day of loud kids and nothing went as planned. I didn’t get to shop where I wanted and the game is a blowout. We’re going back home after it is over. flamingo Hope B is feeling better soon. cagoldi Glad you let the work stress go. snoopmommymom Glad the trip is going well! Safe travels! chrisy01 I would go just so I could try to learn more about the little boy and his family. No gift if you don’t go.
