I didn't know it was a confession to have towels older than DS but here I am. They are in great shape no holes or anything. After SS moved out I had a lot of towels missing and bought some from a Kohl's sale. I don't have towels that fall apart. This is my favorite part. The towels you buy wouldn't dare fall apart on you. 😂 I was about to post that maybe people need to check their washers or what detergent they are using because I see so many posts here about clothes not holding up and towels falling apart and that has not happen in my life.

kittyriot My book club is more of a wine and snacks club so I see how that could happen. Our book club "may" be named "Wine and Book Club!" With a heavy emphasis on the wine.

Certain yarns and knitted items are weird, too, it depends on what they are made of and the texture. Softer/smoother acrylic yarns don't usually bother me, but some other types of yarn do. Polyester stuffing like you buy at the craft store is usually fine. I don't mind petting a sheep, but not a big fan of wool as it makes me itchy and I don't like the way it feels, whether felted wool, yarn, or knitted or whatever. My boss gave me a lovely wool scarf for a gift a couple of years ago and i don't even like to touch it. It's definitely a texture thing, and nails on a chalkboard is a good description. Like if you rub it in your fingers there's a vibration or a squeaky feel, which is worse when it's wet. I wouldn't call it a phobia, more a strong aversion at least for me. But it does seriously weird me out when my kid puts her blanket in her mouth. I can actually feel this description. Ugh! Of course, when I react to it, she does it again and again! Little brat.

ditto. And I just recently found out from this place that I've been using 5 times too much detergent and still have never had items get holes or fall apart lol

I have some threadbare towels that I use for the dogs, but they're super old. When clothes fall apart it's because they're cheaply made items, so I'm never that shocked. I would love to know the secret to keeping everything pristine.

I guess I have a confession that some of our towels were my grandmas (we moved into her house) and have held up really well.

I just realized a few weeks ago that Costco and Cosco are 2 totally different companies. I 100% believed Costco was the one making all those car seats. It also took me at least 3 visits to realize why Five Below is called Five Below. I thought 5 Below was a frozen yogurt shop forever.

My $1 towels from Wal Mart from 1999 did not hold up. I am not surprised.

I have towels that are 8 years old and still going strong. I think they came from Target. I can take pics when I get home.

you'll see I covered those legitimate situations in my confession But how do you know what people's resources are? Just because they aren't saying that they aren't leaving due to money or resources? My H and my MIL stayed because she is not well enough to travel, the rest of us left. We are lucky that we won’t get the brunt of the storm but we are still at risk for flooding and surge. The path of this storm has been so back and forth for our area I’m not judging anyone for their decision. Most people I know are 50/50, about half my friends left.

I’m so fascinated by the cotton ball phobia! How do you all feel about fluffy yarns? Sheep? How did you realize that you had this fear? Tell me everything. I cant even type out why I have such an aversion to cotton balls bc it makes my throat and stomach hurt so much. Im not kidding. Just reading the word gives me a physical reaction. Im fine with most wools and yarns, and even cotton pads, but balls...fuck them.

For me it's if your finger is wet and then you drag it across a piece of dry paper or cardboard. Just thinking about it gives me chills and makes me wanna puke.

When you are in the eye of the storm it's really not that bad if you're in a good structure. It's really weird and spooky. I know this to be true because of Hamilton.

Our book club "may" be named "Wine and Book Club!" With a heavy emphasis on the wine. My book club has a journal that we’ve kept for 14 years, it has location, book read, attendance, menus and lots of drunken notes and splatters on it. Every year or so we read through it and it’s a hilarious recap.

I still watch BBT. I haven’t picked up many new shows over the last couple years, so I just stick with the old ones, until they are all eventually canceled. I’m sad that The Middle ended. I don’t think that’s a confession, but I don’t know anyone in real life that watched it. Hi, I don’t usually post here but I just have to say I loved The Middle. It was such a good show and made me lol many times.

My weather-ish related FFFC: I have a crush on Jim Cantore.
The only thing I like about hurricane season is that I get to see his face on my tv. He is a sexy ass weatherman.
