I am on week 3 of back to work and things are going well. DS doesn’t nap well at DC but he eats like a champ I think we (currently) have his Zantac dose at the right spot. We’ve also moved out of the swaddle and into the Merlin suit for the last week or so. He’s in the PnP next to our bed. I’ve been bringing him into our bed at some point every night when he starts to fuss. He usually goes out like a light then. Something I never did with DD and swore I wouldn’t do with him. But here I am, exhausted and desperate. I’m also trying to stop doing naps in the swing unless I’m desperate. I put V in bed with me and never would have survived if I didn’t. I’m determined to avoid it with L as long as I can since he is a (currently) much better sleeper.

I'm so not happy with our landlord at moment. We've had a large gap between the front door and the frame. I let him know about it when he took over last summer, and ended up having to remind him again last October. He finally got around to check it in late October, at which point he just did a quick fix and said he'd have to replace it when it warmed up again (it looks like someone kicked in the door at some point). In late February, the door suddenly wouldn't stay closed. We had to push our dresser against the door to keep it closed. On top of that, the window started falling out. He came and fixed it, and then taped the window in place, so we've had a jury rigged door for almost a year now. I kept waiting for him to come fix it all summer. I finally sent him an email and asked him when he was intending to come out and fix it. He apologized and said that he forgot about it and he'd be out on Tuesday (yesterday). Yesterday I got an email from him saying that he forgot about needing to take his daughter to dance so he'd be out today. It's now 9 and he's not been out or contacted me at all. I'm super frustrated. This guy has no interest in this place and is just basically collecting the money for his brothers estate. I'd move, but finding a place that takes families with pets for any sort of decent rent is near impossible here, and we're still 2 years out from my parents moving here and helping us buy a place. Ugh, just ugh.

You know what’s fun? When your solo parenting and both kids wake up at the same time MOTN. Trying to get the baby back to sleep then the 3 yo starts up.

Speedy a lot of states have laws protecting you on fringe like this. Do you have any emails or something documented on this? If so, google what you are allowed to do. Some states will allow you to get the problem fixed yourself and then deduct the cost from your rent. Some places allow you to withhold rent until it’s fixed.

MH went out of town a few weeks ago and this happened the first night. I’d get the toddler down and the baby would scream. Then the toddler would need me. It was a terrible night. I’m so sorry it’s happening to you too 😔

There is an ombudsmen who is supposed to help in these matters. If I need to, I can take it to them. But they're very hard to get hold of and take forever to do anything, unfortunately.

F has been sleeping SO much the past few days. And then when he wakes up he eats what feels like a ton. Gotta be his 3 month growth spurt.

I’ve been MIA for a little too long. My 3 year old finished daycare and has been home so it’s been bananas. I don’t know if it’s a combination of being home, changes in our household, and the age but he knows how to push my buttons. The lack of listening is frustrating. He rolled off my bed last night and hit his head hard because he was messing around and not listening. He starts public pre-k which I’m regretting now with all of their holidays, etc... which I didn’t have to worry about with daycare.
My May baby is generally easy but he’s progressively been waking up more and more in the last month primarily due to his tummy. I’m doing all of the wake ups and my husband is gone from 6AM until about 7PM. Even though I have someone helping during the day, it’s still a lot on me since it’s limited hours and my 3 year old is like my shadow (but very needy and whiny). I’m starting work next week and I’m exhausted all ready. I’m dreading seeing how this is all going to work out.

I totally feel you on all the wake ups, and it is rough. I hope you are able to get a little me time when you are back at work. Isn't that terrible? That work is now our escape.

I'm meeting up with two women tonight to donate around 330 ounces of frozen milk. I struggled horribly with my son, and I feel really good about being able to help others this time around. It's made my week.
I'm also flying solo with both kids this weekend for a short trip to attend my nephew's first birthday party. I am probably crazy.

We are going to move F into her crib tonight and I am wondering if I should swaddle her arms out. She sleeps really well so I'm scared to mess it up but she is very close to rolling over. I think I will swaddler her arms out in the PNP tonight and see how it goes. I may have to pull out DS' Merlin suit.

F keeps wanting to sit up straight. Every seat I currently have for him reclines, save his high chair. Any other suggestions for what I could put him in? He's got pretty darn good head control already, but he still flops from time to time.

We've also started putting her into the high chair while we eat meals and she likes being on our level.

I 100% commiserate on the 3 year old being out of daycare and the behaviors, it sounds EXACTLY like my older son. After 10 long weeks of that, I was actually glad for him to go back this week and return to work! It's been better for everyone, though I really miss my little guy.

Although L is hellbent on trying to scoot recently, and has started trying to fling himself backwards out of the Bumbo, so we've had to limit our use of it.

I've been looking, but I just can't find any that fit in the tiny space where I'd want a table to go. I'm paid on Tuesday and planning on going to get some wood to just make a damn table, because I'm sick of eating on the couch, and I'm 100% sure that F would love being able to sit with us while we eat. He sat in his high chair the other day watching me while I was making food and doing dishes and was just happy as a clam.

I think we might be hitting the 4 Month sleep regression a few weeks early.
Larzmini will not nap. She is also having a much harder time falling asleep at night and waking up once overnight. Normally she sleeps through without issue.
Any advice on helping her figure out how to fall asleep on her own? I feel so helpless and she is a overtired cranky mess

She never seemed interested before and my son never took them so I am at a loss but I thought I would try it. Her naps are getting shorter and she's going to bed later and waking up MOTN. I JUST WANT TO SLEEEEEP

I usually only feed on 1 boob motn (which I am looking to change hoping we can drop a feed) but because of that the other boob that I feed on the second feeding gets really full. So this morning I pumped off 2oz before feeding and he took it so much better, not nearly as much gasping and pulling off and theatrics.

Am I the only one waking up to pump if LO is sttn? I do not pump overnight. I hate pumping, plus I don't really want my body to produce milk overnight if L isn't using it.
