Yesterday, my mom and I hit up the consignment stores and I scored a gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff diaper bag in barely used condition for $25, and a brand new Lillebaby Complete Airflow carrier for $50. We also got some cute holiday clothes and some Hanna Andersson sleepers for cheap. I love consignment shopping.

I am currently trying to motivate myself to get ready and run to the mall. I need to do my last Sephora purchase from this sale and make a decision about the babies rug and crib sheets since that sale ends today as well. Then we are going swimming at the ILs with the family. I like summer, but I’m ready for cooler weather soon.
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend.

I took b to the aquarium today. So much picking him up to look at things. He's almost 50 lbs 😵
When the new one comes she's getting strapped to me and he will have to learn to scale walls to look at the damn frogs.

My sister had her baby today!! She had a crazy long induction that started Friday night that ended with a vacuum assisted birth this afternoon, but she got her VBAC and her super cute baby girl Natalie is doing great. Her labor team was really amazing and so supportive for her. So funny she was born on Labor Day.

I am so not ready for the weekend to be over. Our dog Jilly was sick over the weekend - some vomiting, lots of diarrhea. She's 10 years old and has a history of pancreatitis/stomach issues, so we were able to manage her relatively well. But at night, she always sleeps in our room, so we kept our door shut so we would know when she had to go out in hopes of having less messes to clean off the carpet. Saturday night I barely slept - she was clearly not doing well and was stressing me out. Sunday we were woken up at midnight, 3:30, and then 6. Last night she was a little bit better, up at midnight and 4, but this morning she was acting worse again. Luckily H is able to work from home today and I think we're taking her to the vet just since we're going on day three now. So I'm hoping they're able to get us to a point where we're able to maintain improvement, because I've been an emotional train wreck all weekend with her ups and downs. I told H that she's just prepping us for the baby sleep interruptions again, but that she needs to hurry up and get better because I can't handle the sick dog emotions with pregnancy hormones.

I hope it’s an easy fix jillywilly. I know how difficult it can be with a sick older dog, but hopefully the vet can give the dog some relief.

We ended up doing our 3D u/s over the weekend instead of next weekend. It was super difficult to get a picture because she had her face in the placenta & when she’d move it she would then put her foot up to her face lol

summerrain I hear you on the motivation. I feel like I have so much I need to get out and get done (DS fall clothes, nursery items, etc..) and it is so hard to get out and do it. The walking around and in and out of the car tires me out so quickly. I am also ready for the cooler weather! It is high 80s and 90s here this week and I am just done with the heat and humidity.

Busy week this week for us. DS2 has an MRI on Thursday to look at his brain and pituitary gland to make sure there are no growths and it’s the right size/shape. We are obviously hoping for a clear scan any thoughts and prayers are appreciated. If it’s all clear this is the last test we need to get an official Growth Hormone Deficiency diagnosis. I am really hoping we can get him started on the GH shots before this baby comes.
It’s also my last week eating dairy and eggs before abstaining to clear my body for breastfeeding. I won’t miss eggs since we don’t keep them in the house but am mourning the loss of cheese for what could be a year or so. This weeks meal plan is full of cheese topped things!

Also I am nesting so hard right now. I have been in constant clean and organize mode. My DH loves to be organized and go through things so he is very happy about this but also thinks I am over the top. I just got a new vacuum though and it seriously has changed my life. I am in love. It is a dyson stick vacuum. Cordless, lightweight and just perfect for quick cleanups after DS makes a mess. I was using a handheld for those quick cleanups but it is so hard to bend over and this vacuum honestly does a much better job anyways.

So now MH is having second thoughts about the name we picked. Great. I just need him to let me pick and he goes along with it, is that too much to ask?

My insurance company is nagging me to participate in their maternity program, but I feel taken care of by my OB group and MFM. Everyone is under one umbrella. Everyone is communicating. I don’t neeeeeed yooooooou. I don’t need one of your nurses to get involved and make sure my care is on point. I’m good. We’re good. I’m in a large health network. Can’t get more solid.
It’s like a bad date who won’t take no for an answer.

We're taking DD1 to Great Wolf Lodge tomorrow until Friday, I have much excite to float in a lazy river! I went and picked up the paint for DD2's nursery this morning and FIL is going to paint while we're gone!

So now MH is having second thoughts about the name we picked. Great. I just need him to let me pick and he goes along with it, is that too much to ask? This is why once H and I agreed on a name, I started using it. So instead of "baby" I'll say "Benjamin" or "baby Benny." Partly because it makes things more real for me, and I think it also helps DS understand there's an actual person that will be joining our family, but also because now there's no turning back. I'm not going back to the endless bantering of "what will we name this kid" we played for a while there. Hope you guys are able to settle things soon!

Sorry honey, can't discuss a different name, can't waste this Pottery Barn blanket!

We located the infant car seat to make sure it wasn’t expired (it’s not) and to clean it up. H brought it upstairs and the convo went like this:
Me: OMG! It’s real. It’s happening again. *tears up*
H: It took a car seat to realize this? Not, like, the millions of ultrasounds and kicks to the bladder?
Me: Shhhhhhhhhhut it.

I was pulling out DS’s newborn clothes and getting all teary and told H, “Can you believe we’re going to have something this small again?” And he just looks at me and replies, “I mean, yes, you are pregnant, that’s what happens.” I’m fairly certain he is dead inside.

It never took too long to clear my system last time so I'm only going clean the last month. Because ice cream 😍

I was crying last night over the sweet photos of my niece meeting her new baby sister, and MH was like, "what happened to my wife who cried like once a year?" I told him to blame the damn testosterone I'm getting from carrying a boy, men are so emotional! I wasn't nearly this bad when pregnant with DD.
