I haven’t really put any thought to this except H has been asking for real earrings so I think we will get her ears pierced for her birthday and a pbk jewelry box with a couple pairs of earrings. She’s also asked for a baby alive (thanks YouTube) so maybe one of those although I’m not keen on the idea. Re cash registers: last year I got H this one for Christmas www.amazon.com/dp/B00000DMD2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_wcOIBbF7M9FJ2I’ve never let her have the coins because I was worried about S choking (although that’s no longer an issue) but that actual money is thin paper and it stresses me out when she plays with it because they get crumpled/ripped. If I could go back in time I would get something else. Christmas is not even on my radar at this point.

flamingo it looks like that first one is curved, i would like it to go flat to a wall, couch etc. We don’t have it because of the size (too big) but I like the Ikea one, because it is so easy to completely make it your own (hello Pinterest).

The front is curved or angled or something, but the back is flat, from reviews I read. It def has to go against a wall! Yes, I've seen people work wonders with the Ikea one. I'll have to take a look. I just don't know if I realistically have it in me to make one over, AND keep it hidden, etc. A girl on my other BMB did one last year that was insanely gorgeous--like, nicer than a lot of actual kitchens, lol. I love the PBK ones too but they are $$$$$.

We have the IKEA one but have kept it just as is. The storage is great. I can be pulled out from the wall so the kids can work on both sides of it, too (sort of)

I like the height of that! I just found this one, that I like the looks of, but I'll have to find the dimensions of the fridge. It looks small (see: giant kids).

Thanks, good to know! I'll check it out, as well. I'm realizing we have more KidKraft than I thought...just noticed both our train table and the kids table/chair set are all that brand, and I've been happy with everything.

KidsKraft is on the Dutch version of Zulily quite often, might check the USA version .

We have the top one. I noticed the bottom one when I was in the store a few weeks ago. But I don’t think it’s a complete kitchen.

Does anyone have a marble run construction kind of toy? Josie mentioned playing with one at school and really enjoying it, but I’d like to hear from those of you who have one.

Our SLP used one with Bradley quite a bit, he loved it. I made a note of it in my phone, but never pulled the trigger b/c I decided to keep it a "speech" toy. The brand was Meland. That's a great idea...maybe now that he's done with speech I will get one. Thank you for the reminder!

I don’t have one for my children but my grandparents had one at their house when I was growing up. I think my grandpa actually built it. We loved playing with it but I’d want to either have it be a highly supervised toy or one that I’d wait to get until I was done having babies. I’m worried about putting the marbles in mouths.

I’m bumping this bc we’re getting closer. I picked up the spirograph i wanted on amazon last night. I remember enjoying making patterns with it when I was younger. I think it might be something to entertain Josie on the snowier days ahead. Within that same vein, I got a container of snap/pop beads.

My MIL bought M a spirograph set and it kept her entertained on the plane. I remember loving it as a kid, too.

Ok, still at it. So far I've gotten:
C: snakes and ladders game
L: a Melissa and doug cleaning set
Both: Melissa and doug mailboxes, I think they'd love each having one in their rooms so they could leave "mail" for each other.
On my list to get: C: -digging set -card game for stocking (old maid?) -magic set -snow scooter
L: - dress up clothes/accessories
Both: -doctor cart -snow toys
