Does Lo need to bathe nightly? We do not do bathtime every night and that certainly helps with dual bedtime, esp when B was little and MH was OOT. But I know that's not for everyone. But by doing that, I could just hold B, nurse him, etc while helping brush teeth, jammies, story, etc. It depends on how much activity he’s done during the day and how hot it has been. LO sweats a lot. So we might not do bath every night but it does happen most nights. Thanks for the tips. I will try them. Other than bath does he take awhile to get to bed? Like Jewels said, I just bring A in the bathroom with me and out him in the bouncy seat, feed him, hold him, ect. If needed I will do a super super short bath just to get the kids clean. I put L down first cause she's quick. Then I typically put A down while C watches videos. Typically someone is always crying, but we make it work!

Right now LO doesn’t like being around E when she cries. This stress is why I didn’t want LO to go to my parents. I wanted him to get use to E and her to him earlier on. But now we are figuring everything out with a week before school/daycare/work.

tallb Congrats to YH! lfig That's exciting! I would ask specific questions about the working remote part. If you only had to make the drive twice a week, it will be well worth it. Glad to hear they are family oriented! Weekends off is a plus, too! chrisy01 Bedtime struggles and adjustments are the worst. We still struggle some times when we are not strict about our schedule. Like last night, M2 was clearly tired, but we sat in a dark room for almost an hour before he fell asleep. Every time I put him down, he immediately got up to climb on me like he missed me. Because of that, M went to sleep later than he should have because MH still prioritizes house stuff over bedtime.

It's been steady at work today. M brought home the Me bag last night so he could put some stuff in and have a have a show and tell at school. He was super excited about it. On the way to school he asked me if he had science lab or computer lab today. When I told him neither and that it was Spanish day, he wasn't thrilled. LOL.
M2's HFM never got worse. The bumps in his diaper area are all healed. I am so glad it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

Julia almost understood that there was bedtime routine so right after the 4 month wakeful, and since then, she is bathed and put to bed first, then a few minutes later B goes in.

Well, that appt was a waste of my time & money. I waited an hour for the dr to get there. We were the first appt. I sat in rush hour traffic and was even 15 min early. All he said was to keep doing what we're doing and to find another GI. He didn't even give me any names of doctors. All I got was a list of general #s to call for a few different hospitals around the area. WTF dude.
Oh & apparently M is overweight according to her BMI. Whatever.
All of this could have been done with a phone call and would have saved me time, gas & $45 copay.

According to the BMI chart, she's been overweight. So why are you just sharing this info now? FTR the pedi has never said anything about her weight. I'm obviously not concerned. He said she didn't need to be put on a diet but to watch her empty calorie intake.

tgrimes , I don't like him. I'm glad he's leaving. I hope it isn't too hard for you to find a new one. The only reason I chose him was because everyone else had a 3 month wait list last year when she was sick. And he's way out off 290 & huffmeister so not really close to my neck of the woods. I'm just going to find someone close and schedule an appt for 3 months from now. Last time I was there he made a smart ass comment about her eating goldfish. This is after he had a whole discussion about choosing fruits/vegetables/whole grains. I BUY THE WHOLE GRAIN GOLDFISH ASS HAT!

tgrimes , that stinks, hopefully he can recommend someone. mwhip , I don't recall, is she starting K or PreK? I agree with what everyone else said, S has been in the same school since 12 weeks old and he still struggles in new situations. I actually have the opposite concern... he is SO comfortable at his DC, with his classmates, teachers, etc, that it's going to be such a dramatic change when he does start K, I feel like I should have exposed him to more things outside of that (ie even when we do classes like sports, swimming, etc, we do them with his little group of DC friends). peachsmama , good luck today with the cast! She will start preschool, so PreK, we just call it Preschool here. I put her in an in home DC at about 1yr old, where she was one of 4 kids at the time, but for 2 days a week. 2 years ago, it was just Evie and another boy her age, then last year, it became just her. She went there 2 days a week and is with grandparents the other 3 days, so I feel like I've messed up her ability to enjoy other kids, since she's so used to one on one time with adults.

Not possible, she'll do amazing; in a couple weeks she'll be bragging about her friends, telling on the bad kids, wanting to join soccer teams cause the other kids are, making play dates and getting invited to all sorts of birthday parties. I know it's hard, but you've made great choices for her and will continue to do so, until the teenage years where everything we've taught them goes out the window to hormones and peer pressure . yay, parenting

mwhip, what everyone else said! I know C will be nervous about a whole new school Tuesday. It's normal and she will do great. Keep in mind that there will be other kids who have had mostly adult interaction/minimal "classroom" experience. I wish our N13 kids could just all go to school together!

Thanks guys, you really make me feel better! dapostrophe I really like the pin idea and I'll talk to her about that tonight. I have her first day off work, so I can take her and pick her up and have a special lunch, so it will be easy to discuss it since preschool is only 2.5 hours. Congrats to your H tallb! @chrisy does LO have to have a bath at night? Could he maybe take one in the morning? Or is that rushing the morning too much? And fuck that doctor tgrimes. For so many reasons, but to say a 4 year old is overweight? I want to punch him. Kids are growing so rapidly at this age. I know my kid has a belly, but she's also very active and eats healthy, she just likes to eat junk sometimes. We are getting better about it, but if anyone every said, within or out of earshot of her, that she was overweight, I'd give them a piece of my mind. I hope you find an excellent one with better bedside manner.

I was thinking the same thing--and who knows, maybe he's not leaving under his own steam. Could be his contract didn't get renewed b/c of personality/"bedside manner" issues...! Hope y'all find someone great tgrimes , but I know it's a lot of hassle making the switch, regardless of the reason why.

I think we all here are mostly in a bubble b/c our kids are in daycare or preschool, but a large number of American kids are starting school for the first time ever at 5 or even 6. So E has a leg up! She will do great mwhip
