Morning. Ds slept fine but called us at six stating that he needed to throw up. He threw once more, but not since. It did ruin the fun plans we had for today, heading out to Amsterdam for a nice market. But we didn’t want to risk public transport, so instead this turned out to be an incredibly boring day, four hours till bedtime, not that anyone’s counting...

It's been storming here since super early this morning so looks like today will be spent inside. I just set up B's rocket-ship tent and the kids are playing in that/destroying it/attempting to kill each other (depending on who you ask).

Countdown to preschool starting: 15 days.

First day of Junior K for Cadence. She seems excited, although she keeps saying things like, "after nap we still stay in the same room", "I'm not in Ms. B's class any more, but if I need to I can visit". I think she's trying to calm her own nerves.

A took the whole week off. Hoping to empty our storage units. I'm tired of paying for them now that I have a house I can put this stuff in.

Seriously! Same here, especially with ds. He’s soooo ready to go back to school & with my normal distraction go to (my parents) in vacation, these two weeks are going to be fuuuuuun.

My car wouldn't start this morning. Dead battery. It's stuck in the garage but I don't have jumper cables anyway. I was able to get Layla to school in our shitty extra truck, but I don't trust it for a 45 min commute. So working from home today. I'm glad my bosses are understanding but I feel like a shitty employee.

Ugh, worst way to start the day. Glad your boss was understanding. 

This happened to me in the spring (thanks to B leaving lights on overnight) and then when DH came home to jump me, he and B locked the keys in the car, and we realized the spare set was at my parents'. In FL. :facepalm: Thank goodness for roadside assistance. 

SO moral of the story...be careful when you go to jump your car, lol.

Fever of 101.5 and disgustingly snotty. I’ve heard a couple coughs that sound a bit barky but nothing terrible. I made an appt for this afternoon.

My standards are very low right now and I have no idea what's for dinner at all.

Oh that does suck! I'm just going to have Tim put in a new battery tonight. I drained it a couple weeks ago while camping and I've had slow starts since. I didn't use my car all weekend and I think it's just kaput.

I should probably invest in jumper cables though, just to be smarter in the future.

Morning. Sounds like a rough one all around. I’m watching my friend’s little girl today. She’s a teacher but her daughter doesn’t start till Thursday so she’s cobbling together babysitters till then. The girls are having so much fun already and she’s only been here an hour. I foresee minimal parenting in my future for today.

Thank you. My mom and sister are planning to meet us at the park tonight and then I'm just taking it one day at a time. We're going to watch too much Daniel Tiger and eat far more junk than we should, I'm sure.

I don't know how people do this with an H that is deployed or away on business a lot.

It's her second "night" feeding. I will get about 2 more hours of sleep then she will pretty much be up for the day.

Which I can't wait for C's day off on Wednesday. He can take over entertainment duties so I can get an extra nap in.

I had a dentist appointment early before work. I was running late getting M to school and we walked in as the bell rang. I'm now at work and the chiller for our machine was down this morning and it just came back up. We have a minor league baseball game this evening thanks to MH's work. I'm glad I don't have to worry about dinner, but I'm sure tonight will be hectic once we get home. Not looking forward to that.

Sorry for the rough starts for some of you. And Godspeed cagoldi. Sounds like a snacking style dinner tonight or takeout.

I have three hours until my flight to DC and one hour until I have to leave for the airport. I skipped BBM this morning and took a nap after drop off instead. I’m excited to get away even if it’s for work.

Solidarity hugs cagoldi. Dh is going to PA for a week next week and I go into survival mode. Too much tv and super easy dinners.
