tallb , $8 & $10, so fairly cheap, since they have the school logos, and just that is a $5 fee per item on frenchtoast.com. Most of Cadence's uniforms don't even have that logo. We just stick with the appropriate colors now and we have a few handmedowns from classmates with the actual logo.
However, old navy has all of their uniforms on sale today for 60% off. So, I sent mh the link to the red polo dress Cadence "NEEDS" and it's only 6.50.
M's school PTO has a biannual used uniform sale and the proceeds go back into the school. Everything is $5. If I donated uniforms for to go to another kid, I wouldn't be happy to find out it was being sold.

I’m sorry flamingo . At least you have time tonight to purchase several bottles of wine. My thought exactly!

tallb Re: old sneakers, look at the treads on the bottom (is there still sufficient 'grip' left?) Are the insides really dirty (like if they've been worn without socks)? If you can clean them up with a magic eraser and would still put your kid in them, I would say donate. But if not, I would just toss. I've sold gently used shoes and sandals in resale groups (like B's bucks from the holidays or Easter/christmas shoes for C) and middle-tier consignment stores will generally take shoes in good shape. I kind of do the same as you with clothes...beyond stuff I held back for my sister, boutique/higher-end brands I sell in resale groups, middle-tier stuff I consign; Carters and similar I donate. Whatever money I make goes towards next season's stuff.

flamingo I'm sorry for the short notice. I bet you are in full military wife mode right now. Be sure to add wine to all lists. nam2013 both scenarios sound like there will be hassle. I would pay for a cart at the airport and bring car seats. If anything I would buy camping gear here instead of packing it. Plus if you check the car seats it is only for a few minutes they are a pain to carry. And the kids are old enough to help with some of the smaller bags. There are plenty of us here that would probably be willing to offer a ship to address

tallb if you don't think they are wearable by someone else I think Nike recycles shoes or those boxes for used clothes and such repurpose them into material for carpets. You might also see if the company has a suggestion on their website. For example Rothy's had a company that takes their shoes and other products and makes them into some kind of foam material

+ whatever to just donating or handing down most of the stuff. If I don’t have a friend that can use it, we donate everything to a teen mom program in a neighboring low income town. S likes to come with me.
People handed a lot of stuff down to me and I like to continue doing that

Not cool. flamingo That is a lot happening in three weeks and now you have to do it solo. At least B will be in school halfway through it, right? Will YH have to reschedule his trip with C to his parents? J is too cute! guster

I’m still in the hording phase. I hope we one day get a 3.0 and I also get very emotionally attached to things... My friends use me as their go to to borrow stuff, so my baby gear is currently everywhere which I like . I hope to one day pass it on to my sisters, this way it’ll be a soft goodbye for me. Oh lord just thinking about getting rid of all the baby gear is getting me all emotional, wth!

I prefer donating too. I sold a little bit of clothes through b/s/t and a consignment shop, but it felt like more work than it was worth.
I regularly go through my clothes and donate, plus I always have a box in the garage for random stuff to donate. I'm not a minimalist by any means, but I'll like clearing out and giving to those that might need.

It is one of our runner's last day. He has been with us for over a year. Smokey the Secretary just yelled, "Good luck, Sam" to him through the bathroom door as she left for the day. His name isn't Sam....

Now all this talk wants me to purge stuff. I have a lot of stuff that I don't even like. Random hand me downs that are taking up closet space. Maybe I'll go through it and purge that and save my favorites.
Good tips on the sneakers, I may throw in the wash and see how they look and go from there.

Yes, he'll probably have to reschedule, I just don't know when yet.

I love to purge!! I pass all of Sierra's stuff on to a few friends. One friend has twin girls. A lot of S's stuff is twin stuff passed to me from my sister who has twin girls so I always try to keep that stuff together for her.

I save stuff from my 6 y/o for Theo. I have started saving some nicer things from Ev for Bea, but it's an almost 5 year gap. Also, I obviously did not save any of her baby stuff, so I have nothing saved until 5T. It makes me a little sad, because I like reliving the ages and stages and Evie had some cute things that she only wore once or not at all.
I am going to try a consingnment event with some friends next month. Wish me luck.

I purge on the regular. It’s a terrific feeling. Josie’s stuff goes to my sil or my bff, anything that isn’t their styles gets donated. I don’t have a little boy to share with so all of charlies stuff gets donated.

H has croup, a sinus infection and pink eye. He’s giving us cefdinir and a steroid. He did say to do a steam shower and then open up the freezer.

Hi from home! Despite an awful night of sleep - Chase rolled out of bed around midnight and the thud woke us (but not him) up and then the fire alarm started going off every half hour or so around 5am. Add in the train coming through a few times, and I didn't have much hope for getting out easily. But DH stepped up and got a ton done, and we pulled out before 8. The only thing that didn't make it home was a pair of sunglasses I left at dinner last night, so we did pretty well. Now we've got a fridge full of groceries and the first load of laundry is almost dried.
I still have zero interest in going to work tomorrow.

Even if I wanted to bring her (which I don't), they only allow one child and one parent.
