Hi all! Today was the first day of Preschool for S at the new school!

Yesterday we woke up and on a whim decided to head to Branson for the day. It’s just about a 2.5 hour drive. We took S to a place called Itty Bitty City on the way. She loves it there! Then we shopped till we dropped at the outlet mall and had an all you can eat crab legs and seafood buffet before venturing home. Long day but so much fun. Spent a shit ton of money shopping but hey, you can’t take it with you right?!

jewels I second the desitin. It occasionally happens to M and I always put diaper cream even if it doesn't look like anything is there. I mix in some hydrocortisone for some extra relief. He is usually ok after that.

Morning Ladies!

Not a whole lot going on today. I'm currently trying to think about my weekend to do list. I need to overhaul/sort Layla's clothes and closet. I want some more organization before the school year gets going.


BTW.... Meet the Teacher night was totally no big deal.... paid tuition, dropped off supplies, signed up for some lunches, let Layla see her friends. Easy Peasy. I was worried about nothing.

Hi! Loved being on vacation but it’s nice to be home. DH managed to kill the boxwood and geraniums by the front door so that will need some TLC but everything else was in good shape.

B had an ENT appt this morning. I think we are on the road to a tonsillectomy; We have a sleep study scheduled for two weeks from now.

Morning Ladies! First day of school today for my two oldest boys. Two down, two to go! Evie starts next week and Theo starts after labor day.

It was brutal waking up at 6:30, since Bea was up at midnight and 3am, but I do feel like I've gotten a lot accomplished and it's not even noon. I see a nap in my future today and then my grandma and aunt are going to come with me to pick up my 1st grader. He will be thrilled to be surprised by them 😁

mamabear Would it be possible to reach out to the director that reached out to you informally to ask about the possibility of part time in the new position? I'd start there because I get the gist that it would sway your decision. Then I'd talk to your manager. Explain why you'd interview with the new teach, etc. Maybe they'd offer you the part time work you're looking for and you wouldn't need to change jobs.

Not sure why but Atticus complains of this on very rare occasions. I put Desitin on him before bed if he tells me he's itchy/uncomfortable and he says that helps.

LI was going to put diaper ointment on it but he keeps complaining when B is asleep and it's all in his room.  I'll do that tonight.

B does this as well.  I think it happens when he is a bit constipated.  I apply coconut oil and he says that helps.

I thought this as well, and I keep asking him if he needs to poop and he says he doesn't think so.  He hasn't pooped at home in a few days, but I have no idea if he pooped at school.  I asked him last night, and he said he pooped 10 times that day (which I highly doubt).  So he's not a reliable witness.

mamabear I'm very in a place of Yes right now, so i say that you go for the interview, find out more about the job, team and culture of the team, ask good questions to the interview panel. I think in doing that you'll be able to answer some of your questions.

As far as the working part time thing, you have no guarantees with your current role that they'll be permitting you to work part time so I think that saying no to possible opportunities now would be a mistake. I would absolutely talk to your manager, be honest and let them know how this came about and that you'll be going to the interview, as someone in leadership I always appreciate honesty and transparency.

Unfortunately the kids go to the bathroom by themselves in this class, so unless he asks for help, they don't know what he does in the bathroom.  

I'd tend to agree with you on your thoughts, as those were mine as well.  I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious.

Also, I know this is crazy, but at 4.5 years old, we've never dealt with constipation before!

mamabear, if you are tight with your current manager, can you be honest with her? Tell her you are very happy in your current role, but you were approached for this other role and aren't sure what to do, and ask her for her opinion/ advice?

mamabear I second what tgrimes said. I would go back and inquire about the possiblity of part-time. I know the other position is work from home two days a week and I think this would at least help you out on the commute, right? After they answer that question, I would then ask your current boss about the possiblity of a part-time role and see where that leads you. I wouldn't bring up the other job role just yet, because then he or she may give you what you want to hear to keep you.

I also like what vino said and she brings up some very valid points.

Either way, I am happy to hear you have some options since I know you have been wanting a change. I think this is the gateway to trying to make that happen, even though decisions can be hard.

Yes. I found out in a past Prime Day thread and every so often I check it if I want to know if I'm really getting a good deal. Usually around black friday/cyber monday and prime day.

Hi! Haven't checked in today other than to respond. It's been a busy day at work and our camera is still giving us issues but I'm still trying to do patients.

At some point when I finish up I need to call the cable company and I am dreading it because it always takes forever and I never get anything fixed, but I am not paying them until they fix my bill. Even though we dropped them, I still have internet and they are trying to charge me another cable cycle with it and I refuse. I already got an email about a credit, so I don't get why they don't apply that to this current bill. ATT sucks ass.
