pootsen - can you take a half hour lunch instead of a full hour to make up for one pumping session? It sucks that your coworkers are jerks. I seriously don’t think people who have never pumped understand how long it takes. I honestly don’t know what my work’s policy is, other than there is a tight schedule for the pumping room. They put a lock on the door of my office like the one for the pumping room so I can just stay in my office. That does not stop people from trying to walk in, even when it’s red and says do not disturb, and I have had people walking in thinking that my office is the pumping room.

belle0720 i am so, so sorry. PM me if you ever want to chat, even if just to vent. My mom had breast cancer over 20 years ago and it came back last summer (in her bones- she had a double mastectomy at the time). She is still battling. And FIL just started chemo for stage 4 bladder cancer. He is one of the best people I know. So. Fuck cancer so hard. I'm always here to commiserate.

And apparently it's CD1 for me. That explains... a lot. I swear I feel like it's only been two weeks but I just checked the calendar, and it's 27 days. Where the hell did the last month go?! Time is going so, so quickly. I can't even. I'm late to this thread, by the way. Lol.

cdnfarmgirl 7 teeth already, wow! Or is that typical?? My girls aren't showing any signs of teeth and DD1 didn't get any until 11 months, so I have no idea! DD2 only has 3 at 9 months, but DD1 had 6 by 7 months. It really varies!

pootsen I’m sorry. Is this jerk just complaining it’s “not fair” you get the breaks, or is there some specific task or work? Also, anyone who complains about moms taking breaks to pump is welcome to come and strap on a flange anytime. It’s not like you’re in there getting a neck massage. You are willingly giving yourself dual purple nurples. Anyone who thinks this is a fun workday extra break can GTFO. I just died. Omg. Maybe it is the wine.

I'm watching a Cinderella story starring Hilary Duff. She is my favorite. I watch younger too and am frequently reminded of how much I love her. I'm glad she didn't go the Amanda bynes (or Miley Cyrus) route of teen actress.

Also ffmc, but my wedding dress looked a lot like her ball gown in this movie lol. My boobs didn't look as good though 😉

I pulled out and dusted off my dad's firefighter helmet today. Ds1 asked what it was and I said it was grandpa's helmet when he was a firefighter. And ds1 'but he's not anymore' and I just said no he's not. Which is true but I have no idea how to approach this subject with him 😢

I have pictures around and I do talk to N about him. I just tell him that my dad died. The concept is still pretty abstract to him. But we’ve lost our cat recently and last year my grandmother died (who he knew. She was 92) so he’s starting to have a little more understanding of death.

I love looking at wedding dresses. I still even watch Say Yes To The Dress even though I have no intention of divorcing my H and I loved my dress. If anyone wants to play, I’ll put it on the private board.

grumpycat sarahandben108 Hugs to you ladies. One of the hardest parts for me is thinking about how DD1 is going to handle my mom being sick and obviously worse if we lose her. My mom is like a 3rd parent to her(probably her favorite) and they are inseparable. She's only 3 but she amazes me with how much she understands. And at the same time it's just gut wrenching to think that DD might not remember my mom at all if we lose her. And that the babies might never really know her. For now I've started taking lots of videos and pictures of my mom and the girls so I know that we'll always have that.
