We had a pretty low key weekend here. I was able to do a little bit of cleaning and the kids were pretty well behaved for the most part. H is going out of town for a couple of days at the end of this week so I'm sure all hell will break loose while he's gone.

And apparently it's CD1 for me. That explains... a lot. I swear I feel like it's only been two weeks but I just checked the calendar, and it's 27 days. Where the hell did the last month go?!

Last night during a MOTN nursing session, I guess me and N both fell asleep. All of a sudden he just clamped down and bit my nipple. And with 7 teeth, he can chomp. I screamed which apparentkybdidnt started him and I couldn’t get him to open up for like 5 seconds. It felt like an eternity.
My random thought as I’m nursing again and all of a sudden had a flashback to that moment.

cdnfarmgirl 7 teeth already, wow! Or is that typical?? My girls aren't showing any signs of teeth and DD1 didn't get any until 11 months, so I have no idea!

Hello! Just a normal work day here. I’m doing the late shift so 9-6. Question for working and BFing/pumping moms- do you have to punch out while you pump at work? No but I’m not hourly.

pootsen I’m sorry. Is this jerk just complaining it’s “not fair” you get the breaks, or is there some specific task or work? Also, anyone who complains about moms taking breaks to pump is welcome to come and strap on a flange anytime. It’s not like you’re in there getting a neck massage.

You are willingly giving yourself dual purple nurples. Anyone who thinks this is a fun workday extra break can GTFO.

Yes, they complained because it’s “not fair”. I still get all of my work done, plus some, despite taking time away to pump. I may be salty because I always used to just put “pumping” as the away message on my phone but just now I put “expressing milk to FEED MY BABY” I’m actually really kind of hurt because this wouldn’t be an issue if no one complained. My managers are very family oriented and like I said, they were always fine with us just taking the time we needed, but now that this asshole (or assholes) contacted HR they have to follow the ridiculously unrealistic company policy. I thought that all of the people I worked with were my friends. Guess not.

Thank you Zenni. 4 pairs of glasses for 63 USD (about 85 Canadian). And then found toric lenses for 32 CDN/box. And my insurance should cover most of it.

pootsen your coworker is a jerk. I’m sorry. People have lives outside of work and everyone needs a little slack with the rules sometimes, whether it’s for pumping or illness or family issues or whatever. I wish she could see that. I hope you’re able to work out a schedule that works for you. The good news is that your managers are humans.

Can someone tell me how to switch from nursing to sleep to doing a bedtime routine with books or songs? I forget how I did this with my older son, or more likely I blocked it out because it involved sleep training and hours of screaming, ugh. Really though, is that what I should do? I want to wean at a year so I feel like I have 3 months to get this done so he can go to sleep without nursing.

doxiemama I’m in the same boat. My daughter was much easier to sleep train than this kid. I feel like I’ll be nursing him forever and a day. He also won’t even take a bottle and at this point I’m just going to go straight to sippy cups

Vasectomy is $2500 out of pocket. GDI. I told dh to go to planned Parenthood (who's website says that the cost is $0-$1000).

E woke up again twice last night at 12:30 and 2:00. She’s still putting herself back to sleep, but I’m afraid we’re heading into that 9 month regression cnf mentioned the other day. She was up for the day around 6:30 which is normal, but then she only took a 15 minute nap around 9 and then a 45 min nap at 2:00. She was a BEAST. I’m exhausted. She was out cold after her bottle at 7 and I’m praying she STTN.

DD2 was a monster tonight. I'm not sure why. She took two decent naps (both at least over an hour). She's been super chatty all day and running her tongue around her mouth. At 930 I gave her Tylenol and motrin and she was out in 5 minutes. Guess she must be getting some more teeth.

belle0720 I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. All the positive vibes your way. N had his 9m appointment today. Everything looked great except he had the start of an ear infection that he showed zero symptoms for. At least we caught it before it hurt too bad. I dosed him with antibiotics and tylenol and sent him off to bed. I’m hoping maybe he’ll go back to sleeping all night.

sarahandben108 that does sound tough. I’m just a little upset because after I came back from Mat leave (with ds1 and ds2) I discussed my pumping plan with my bosses and they always told me to pump whenever I needed and that I didn’t have to punch out. Well now one of my coworkers complained to HR and now we have to punch out if we take longer than 2 15 min breaks. It’s impossible to pump (for me) with set up and clean up in 15 mins so I’m going to see if I can work while I pump so I don’t have to punch out. 15 minutes absolutely would not work for me, either. Ugh. Throat punch to that coworker. What the fuck? Suck it up.
