D. is napping and I should be doing something useful but instead am watching another episode of This is Us. Just discovered the serie and so far really like it! (though it made me cry, too!)

Any of your LOs go through thses days where they just refuse to eat bread? D. always liked it and ate it just fine but lately there's random days where she'll simply pull it in pieces and scatter it around like confetti instead of eating it.

muscari I love that show. I managed to only cry at about half the episodes. 🤣 And yes, E randomly has days where she won't eat something she used to love. So does my 3 year old, actually.

My 3yr old is much worse when it comes to off and on food aversions. muscari I wouldn't worry about it. Just introduce it again the next day.

Me and MH had our first date night since A was born! It was so nice, but I’m a tad hungover because we had seafood and a couple cocktails. Not much to help soak up the alcohol. 😣
A had his 1 year wellcheck today. The shots were brutal, but his hemoglobin came back at a good rate and he’s on track for a 12 month old.

Hi everyone I am back from all my trips and crazy summer meetings. The last few weeks have been crazy and we took J for his 1 year check today. That kid recovers fast!
He is a little delayed with speech, he talks a lot but no real words.

He is a little delayed with speech, he talks a lot but no real words. Welcome back! Are they supposed to have real words at this point? I mean M might say mama or dada randomly and she makes a "vroom" sound for a truck but that is it. I didn't think they were supposed to have actual words till closer 15-18 months?

Both can hurt and possibly run a fever/show signs of a rash. The nurse said it could happen even a week from now. He’s been in good spirits so far today though.

I was assuming this too. A says ball & dada and connects those words to the object. Says mama, but doesn’t call me mama.

R doesn’t have any words yet. She babbles mama, dada and neinei. She’s said mama and dada with purpose, but only a couple of times. She understands language, so I don’t ha s any concerns.
I looked back at videos and T didn’t say ball and balloon until 16 months.

I am pretty sure he is fine since he clearly understands what we are saying. He is ahead in motor skills, the boy already climbs stairs and jumps a little. In the last few weeks he turned into a little boy it's killing me!

I don't remember ds1 having actual words until about 18 months. I was so worried then but now he never shuts up and his voice is LOUD. Baby H says, Ace, all the time which is his uncle's name, but he doesn't associate it with anything. He says mama and dada occasionally. If I ask him to say mama, he mouths it silently which cracks me up.

muscari yep J does this a lot. He loves a food one week then the next he will pass it up for something else. Usually he eats it again In a few days. It also depends on what else I'm serving. He chooses cheese and chicken over everything.....kind of like me lol

Yeah I thought it was 6 words by 18 months ( and my best mom bff is a speech therapist) j says baba and mama and that's it.

So J bit me today for the first time and it was hard. I know his front tooth is coming in but man! Then I tried to get him to stop but I was carrying him and he peed through his diaper so I had my head against his and dh thought I was biting him back. Wtf?? I was mad. No my hands are full, I carrying a wet kid who is biting me at the mall...help!!! Can't be too mad though as he took my car for an oil change and had to sit ar walmart for over 2 hours yesterday.

R is one today! Took T and her to Billy Beez - it wasn’t really worth it for her, since impede kids kept coming into the toddler zone. But, they had fun.
