peachsmama so scary I’m sorry that happened.

I’m hanging in the basement playroom with C and T. Now that C crawls, I bring him here or else the dog chases him. I took all 4 back to school shopping at the mall and they were awful but I did get a bunch of stuff for the oldest 2 and I had $65 in gap rewards and a $50 children’s place gift card so I didn’t even spend all that much.

I went on a bit of a shopping spree today. It'll take me approximately 30 yrs +/- to pay off the couple hundred grand I racked up but I signed on the house!

This whole school supply thing is mind boggling to me. We pay a (small) fee, €350 per year and that because we go to a ‘special’ school (regular school is around €60 per year) and they provide almost everything that is needed except lunch & snacks. I’ve always figured that since the school buys in bulk it is cheaper and all kids have access to the same materials.

Hmm. I'm not actually sure.. Now that I think about it I think she said she came up to him. I was blubbering at the point where she was talking to me. 

The boys don't know and I doubt would be able to remember or recite my phone number and at the aquarium, you're in the basement so no service at all. 

And I know! Even if I was by myself with my kids and couldn't be super helpful I would at least ask what he was wearing and make my way to security to let them know. I was about to report him as missing to the staff when I found him. And she called it in on her radio that the parent was found so she was on it. I think I'll call and just tell the manager how much I appreciate what she did.

Glad you found him, peachsmama. Hopefully it was enough of a scare that he's going to stay close from now on.

I quiz Atticus before we go to very crowded places. "What's your full name? What's your mom's name? What's your dad's name?"

I found a little girl crying at Legoland and brought her to a nearby employee. Atticus saw the girl was hysterical and all alone and I think that drilled it into him it's scary to lose your grown-ups.

+1 to teaching S my phone number. They actually started working on it in school, so I just had to reinforce it. I always tell S if he gets lost to find a police officer or employee (if we are at a store) and give them my phone number. I do wonder, however, if he would remember to do that if he were actually in that situation .

Hi! I dropped off my boys this morning and took my girls dress shopping for a wedding. Evie and I disagreed on which dress was better for her, but in the end she won and now our family's signature color will be teal 😉

I got a beautiful dress from Modcloth that fits like a dream everywhere except over these nursing boobies. I am hoping I will drop an inch or two by the wedding 😬

MH is in a mood. He gets this way before school starts--it's three weeks away. I'm not having it. Enjoy summer while it's still here.
Also I'm pms-ing and for some reason that manifests itself in the frustration that I do everything (even if it's not totally true).
So I gave the kids a bowl of raisins and pretzels at 3:45 because we typically eat around 4 or 415, but I'm not organizing dinner bc I'd like to see how long it takes before I have to step in and do it, but I don't want the kids to be hungry.

Peach, so scary! So glad he's ok. I think I told you guys that last summer MH and C went into Meijer while L and I were in the car. He called me hysterical saying he lost C. So I ran in with L and ran to get help while MH ran around looking for him. So scary.

I've also seriously been thinking about putting him on a leash when we are in crowded places like the aquarium and I have all 3 kids. I want him to be able to run around, explore and get energy out...but obviously it's so hard to keep an eye on everyone at once.

That reminds me, someone was smoking weed in the parking lot as we were walking back to the car from Costco last Friday.
