I made this orange chicken and it was SO good omg. I used juice from the navel oranges on our tree. I should have cut down on the sauce ingredients because I didn't have the full amount of chicken. And I think I added too much corn starch. So it was saucy and thick lol. But the flavor was great and the chicken cooked perfectly. peasandpeonies.com/instant-pot-orange-chicken/Thanks for sharing! What kind of tomato sauce did you use? Like ragu or canned tomato sauce? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I made hot water today! I did it! I busted it out and totally messed it up, but I did it! I'm thinking hard boiled eggs next. 😂 I made hot water today too!! I'm currently looking over everyone's recommended recipes then going to give Wegmans all my money in an attempt to become an above mediocre cook.

The internet tpld me 3/4 cup tomato paste plus 1 cup water so I estimated how much to do to make one cup total. It ended up looking red but not tasting particularly tomato-ey, I may used a bit too much. But next time I will do my best to use just the straight tomato sauce like this.

I have the buttery lemon chicken, French dip, easy red beans and rice, red lentil curry, steel cut oats with craisins, and hard boiled eggs all on my mealplan this week. All in the IP. Haha.

That's awesome. Please report back on how they turn out! The weather has been good here so we have been grilling mostly but I should have a chance to try mine out this week. I did the test one and made hard boiled eggs. One cracked open in there so that was an interesting science experiment. Lol.
Trying the turkey meatballs tonight. It's hot here so I will be thrilled not to turn on the oven.

I made the lemon butter chicken tonight. I made baked chicken last week and it took 55 minutes in the oven. Between searing and cooking this took 14 minutes. H was impressed and we ate everything, no leftovers. And he asked me to make more things in it, so I will.
I need to spend Sunday prepping food, cutting and divvying things up and what not so I don't spend 45 minutes in the kitchen on a week night.

I had canned red beans already so I used this recipe. temeculablogs.com/instant-pot-red-beans-rice/I used kielbasa instead of andouille sausage because my H doesnt like spice and my in utero kid would throw fire up my throat at the mere mention of spice. You guys were rice about instant pot rice. The rice in that recipe was awesome. I am sure the bacon didn't hurt, either. Lemon chicken tonight!

This looks SO good. And I have so many more navel oranges I need to use. Adding this to next week's plan. I really want to love pork but it dries out so easily in the crock pot. I am so ready to try it in the IP.

I made this and it was great! I normally use a rice cooker to cook my rice them toss it with sauted vegetables, scrambled eggs and sauce. But I didn't even have to rinse my rice and it didn't come out all sticky and it was all in one pot! I tweaked it a little. Since I don't eat meat and this was my main course I filled it with zucchini, mushrooms, corn, onions, garlic, ginger and used more eggs. And doubled the recipe but kept the cook time the same. www.happybellyfoodie.com/pressure-cooker-fried-rice-2/

I made these potatoes but double the potatoes and added just a little more broth. Not having to drain the potatoes is a dish and time saver for sure. I bought a hand masher that won't scratch my pan so I wouldn't have to dirty a bowl. And not having to sop up water off my stove when I boil the potatoes over (happens every single time!) was lovely. makerealfood.com/2015/01/13/garlic-mashed-potatoes-instant-pot-new-fast-food/

Any ideas how I can tweak this to use the white rice, or would it be the same?

The French dip was delicious. But my fave recipe so far was this lentil curry. I just had leftovers for lunch. This is definitely going to be a staple. It is vegan, in case anyone is interested in that. kneadtocook.com/pressure-cooker-red-lentil-curry

I didn't change the time at all. It was great!

Yes still using mine McBenny. I recently made White chicken chili which was sooo good. This weekend I did a pork roast for pulled pork. I should plan a couple meals for this week using it. Planning to embrace soup season. Also ordering a DUO this week as a wedding gift for someone.
