I only went to an Aldi once and it was messy and nothing seemed that great. It was borderline dirty.

Not related: did I tell you guys how much I really love Aldi. Their prices are phenomenal and I get really good produce, cheese, and cured meats there. They don't sell wine, but they did have some good beers and different kinds of ciders. I'm so used to buying brand name so it took me a while to navigate the aisles (also there are only four aisles -- is that typical ?), I was able to find an alternative to almost everything I usually buy, though. I'm drinking Aldi wine right now. Your state is weird  But yes, small rows and 1 choice per product. They have great nitrate free lunch meats and hot dogs. |

We made a trip to an Urgent Ortho clinic that my friend works at for M. He’s been riding his bike without training wheels since the weekend and had a bad fall this evening. He was hysterical- like I’ve never seen before- about his elbow so I decided to take him in. It’s not broken and so glad. I think it just freaked him out because his helmet broke and he has a nasty bruise on his head and a huge lip. Poor kid.
And now I feel so much worse than I did this morning. Almost flu- like. 😞🤒 I hope this is nothing serious.

Ouch @lahdeehdah. Glad to hear it wasn't broken. Hitting the elbow just right can hurt for a while. I hope you feel better soon

What a day lahdeedah; I’m glad there wasn’t a break on M’s elbow, those bike crashes are scary for everyone. Hopefully everyone gets a good noght sleep and you feel better in the morning. |

lahdeedah, how scary! I'm amazed at how many kids in my neighborhood (like 5 year olds) who don't wear helmets on their bike. I lost my sense of smell from a bike fall, so I'm pretty cautious about that stuff. I hope you're feeling better!

Even helmets for kids younger than that are really a new thing. I never had one, nor did my sisters. I think a big part of it is just Dutch mentality, cycling is such an immense part of life here. It is not an activity, it a means to an end, so we cycle at a relatively slow paste, Holland is as flat as a nickel and the majority of roads have special bike only lanes. |
