Ugh.
Why is Atticus such an absolute terror lately?! Not listening, throwing fits when he doesn't get his way, kicking things. He's in hell beast mode 24/7. Four has not been easier than three. I feel cheated.

Morning! I went out to dinner and drinks with a friend last night. We were thinking about walking home and crazy huge monsoon storm rolled through, so we obviously had no other choice than to stop at the bar and wait it out. We have gym and swim lessons today and then Landon has meet the teacher tonight.
Lucas’s school doesn’t start until Monday, and I am so ready. He has been a hellbeast lately. He is just so damn stubborn and if he doesn’t get his way it always a full on fit. Of course his teachers tell me he is an absolute angel.

My little town has a grocery store called the IGA. It's insanely overpriced, but sometimes it's easier to run to something two minutes away. It feels so much like the kind of grocery store you go to when you're renting a beach house. It has hats and T-shirts for sale with our town name on it and the aisles make no sense because they're trying to cram everything into a little space. They do have a kick ass deli counter, though m and they make delicious bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. We used to have an IGA up here. It has since converted to something else. The grocery stores up here have stuff for tourists, too (as does the Walmart...when you go in there is a huge display with lobster everything, t-shirts, hats, etc). I have tried Aldi for a couple speciality items my friend served that I liked, but otherwise I'm just too brand loyal. We live so close to the commissary and the prices cannot be beat, so that is where I do most of my shopping, and if they don't have something I need I'll go to Harris Teeter. We are supposedly getting a Wegman's near us in the next few months. |

That is my issue w Aldi (also TJ’s, which I love!). I can’t get everything I need at either store so just end up going only to a traditional grocery store bc is faster. vino, today B asked me if I spoke French bc she would like me to teach her. Lol. Too bad yh wasn’t around. |

cagoldi and @klongoria, lately I’ve had problems w B just not giving an F. She doesn’t care about rewards and privileges when she behaves, she doesn’t care about consequences when she doesn’t listen, she doesn’t show remorse when she is punished. It’s been so frustrating. I’m here w you guys.

+1 to 4 y.o.'s being difficult lately. B has never been a tantrum'er (didn't get that lucky with C) but just stubborn, not listening well, and pushing every line we draw. He is normally such a compliant, easy-going kid so this has not been fun. I think part of it is the age, and also (hope?) part of his problem is that he has energy to burn--I really think he's going to love going to preschool 5 days/week.
eta: and as DH said, if he's going to misbehave, I'm glad he does it with us and not someone else...everyone else he's around, from my parents to the sitter to his camp teachers, think he's amazing, sweet, delightful, you name it.

Hi from the office again. It's been a busy but productive morning here, plus it was actually pretty nice this morning so I had my first decent run in ages. It's been getting to me how slow I am lately.  I'm still feeling that morale boost from girls' weekend, so that's been great. Did I ever get into what happened? How we crashed with one of my friend's cousins for the weekend but my friend bailed on us last minute? Thankfully we all know and love her cousin so it was fine, but I'm not sure how long until the resentment dies down. Sorry for all the terror children. The boys were abnormally well behaved last night - there was no yelling or threats, even from DH - and it carried on through this morning. Which means they'll probably be complete beasts tonight but it was nice while it lasted, haha. It's nice to get a peek into the future when they are slightly less emotionally volatile. You know, for that brief period before they turn into hormonal teenagers. Sigh... |

Morning! I was in desperate need of a break from my children, so I dropped them all off at the gym and I'm going to Starbucks. I love that my ILs are kind enough to take my kids, but they are always ruined when they get home and the readjustment period is a lot of work.
Coffee, egg bites, and online shopping are in my immediate future.
