I got an email my expected portion of the genetic testing is 1,100. My Doctor told me it should be covered. The email also says I can bypass my insurance and just pay them 250 but once they send it to insurance I’ll have to pay whatever. I’m super confused. What the what!? Do they intend to stress pregnant women? The test is stressful enough and I wouldn’t have done it except my OB said it should be covered because they recommend it. I guess I’ll be making lots of calls on Monday to try to figure it out. End of rant. 😡 I’m fighting my insurance on this too. But depending on your deductible, you might be better off just paying them the $250 directly since your insurance could say that it’s covered but subject to your deductible. Insurance sucks.

k awesome day, bravo energy! Could you do a nightgown instead? We do the Hanna fair isle Xmas PJs every year and I have the nightgown. sunshiney argh, you need a break from baby stress! They should cover it, they probably just need the pre-authorization again or some red tape. strawberrykiki, insurance is beyond frustrating. It seems odd to me they'd offer you the choice, but they may be trying to be nice. I can see how the $250 might end up being cheaper than what the insurance company would make you pay from your deductible/coinsurance, but you may well max out your insurance anyway this year so consider that too. GL!

strawberrykiki that makes no sense but like @janelane says maybe it’s better to just pay the $250, unless you get a clear answer from insurance that they cover it. sunshiney I’m sorry to hear about the bleeding and time in ER. How scary. Glad baby looks good. I’d def have the RE write a letter. I’d also write a letter of appeal myself. This drug is clearly medically necessary for your and your baby’s health. Such BS. hrh I was thinking about a nightgown! I’ll have to look at HA. I’m a little afraid I’ll look I’m wearing a moo moo though 😬. Do you they have matching dog scarves? 🤔 off to shop...

k lol believe it or not Hanna does have some dog PJs that match. Not sure if Christmas is out yet however. Their PJs are somewhat stretchy, so it wouldn't just drape; I think it would form over your bump a bit. They do have tops and bottoms though, you could try that route too! Hopefully I don't stretch mine out too badly this year... 😬

notagoddess We have a ton of pepper plants right now and also plan to make some pepper jelly soon! My Aunt likes to serve with cream cheese and crackers and it always seems to be a hit. @amc kudos on being so patient! Not sure I could wait 2 weeks. Only one more day! strawberrykiki goodness gracious $1100?!? That’s insane! I hope you get some answers and they adjust it for you. Insurance sucks big time. sunshiney I’m so sorry lady. That sounds awful. As if you haven’t been through enough already. Hopefully your OB is able to write a note and they’re able to refill it for a more affordable price. Hugs

I called my insurance company today and they said we never cover non routine blood work until you meet your deductible. I’m really upset that my doctor would tell me it should be covered when she clearly had no idea if it would or wouldn’t be. So I paid the 250 to bypass the insurance. I wish we wouldn’t have even done this test. I’m so mad! I feel like we were duped into it.

I'm sorry strawberrykiki. They make it so confusing that it's impossible to make an informed decision.
