addymac that sounds like a shit storm. I can't believe they can't fix it until someone decides who is paying. That is crap. I was going to ask how swim lessons are as we start next month. We are going with a friend who has a 6 month old. I'm actually a swim instructor so I've been trying to do some things with J so he actually enjoys the lessons. I'm hoping he will as he loves the water. We are only doing the lessons for something to do since I could do it myself but oh well. It's a disaster and now DH is adamant that our next place will be a single family home. He is swaying me more and more lol So swim lessons aren't completely terrible. DH was a swimmer all through college so he knows what to do. N LOVES the pool. before the class he had been in twice, and he loved it both times. The second time DH started to try to get him to float on his back and he wasn't a big fan but didn't go crazy. With the classes, he hates being on his back or side, he hates being put into specific positions, and he definitely does not enjoy being thrown under for the 3 seconds they do it. :-| So it is what it is. He likes splashing around, he likes being on his belly with his head up- he doesn't like getting the back of his head/ears wet. And he loves it when class is over and it's play time with the toys the instructors take out. LOL. soooo ::shruggy guy:: I went twice with him and DH went once with him so far, and he cries the same amount with either of us, so I'm glad its not *me* that's causing him to cry, like one of the instructors insinuated

Omgosh girl what IS your secret?? I dont even remember the days D napped longer then 45-50 min.. Both my kids have been good at sleep. We put them down before theyβre too tired, which I think helps. Like, R is usually only up for 2.5 hours before going to sleep. We use a noise machine and R has two toys that play music with her. Sometimes she cries a little before bed, but usually falls asleep within 15 minutes of being in her crib. D. was a pretty good sleeper up until her 6mo shots and it's been shit pretty much since. Tis like we roll from one thing into another into another.. leaps, teething, illnesses, whatever. Then just when things are going better again, something else pops up. It's exhausting. I try to keep a close eye on when she's showing signs of getting sleepy so I can get her down to bed in time, and naptime is going well enough. Nighttime though Work in progress... Glad someone at least is getting good nights of sleep though!

RUDE!!!
I had wanted to do swimming lessons with D when she was 6mo as well but couldn't handle it at the time. I'm currently looking into themthough, found a small sized pool real close to home that seems perfect. Also found a gym that has baby gym which sounds so much fun. D. loves to climb on/under/in between/through pretty much everything so being able to do so without us having to worry about her busting her head on hard stuff seems nice for us all lol. So going to lookinto that as well.

muscari, that gym sounds awesome!! we have a neighborhood club that houses a daycare and after school programs, but during the school year it has classes we can go to with N (music class, french class, story time, etc) and it has an open gym to play in, and one day a week they have all these play mats out and soft structures for kids to build with and crawl over i love it. We don't get to go nearly as often as I'd like to bc it costs $ and doesn't always work with my work schedule. I hope you get to take classes there! IT sounds so nice. Yeah the instructor was like You are getting agitated and it is making him agitated and cry. I was like um I'm not agitated, my arms are tired of holding him and i'm trying to make sure I'm holding him in the right position and it's hard when he's flailing and screaming. So I'm not agitated b/c of the water or the pool or him crying, I'm trying to focus and getting frustrated that I keep losing my grip on him correctly b/c I'm paying money for these classes and I don't want to fuck it up or it'll be a waste of time and money!
