What do you guys use to clean stainless steel appliances with? I use vinegar and water solution but I feel like it’s always streaky. The blue dawn and vinegar solution mentioned above with a micro fiber cloth. It's the cleaning version of Frank's Red Hot; I put that $#!+ on everything. Thanks! I’m gonna try that. We met with our new house cleaner and she was asking me all these questions on what I use to clean such and such and I was all... I don’t know how to adult, please just tell me what to do.

piratecat I mix the previous two suggestions, basically - I have a "leather cleaner" mix that is just olive oil and vinegar - I think it's a 1:3 ratio. My stainless is gorgeous, and it works great on leather and wood, as well as being a good dusting solution for anything that isn't glass. I use it with a microfiber cloth.

I made a homemade dusting spray out of olive oil, vinegar, water and a splash of citrus essential oil. It works really well and smells good.

Any recommendations for getting your laundry to smell fresher? My towels are the worst but I feel like it’s starting with clothes too. Fairly new top loading smart washer. I use Tide, no fabric softener. Hottest water possible on towels. I run a clean cycle with some Lemi-shine detergent regularly on the washer. I’ve tried washing the towels in vinegar. We use a water softener. Idk what I’m missing? Could you be adding too much laundry detergent? I'd try using less and see if you have a build up issue. Umm yes this could absolutely be it. Thank you

I love microfiber cloths for cleaning. I have one for mirrors and windows that I use with just water or diluted vinegar.

I got the iLife version of a roomba on prime day and it has been such a game changer for us. I run it everyday for about 30ish minutes. The amount of dust/dog hair it picks up everyday is horrifying! It’s amazing what damage two dogs can do in a day. ETA: my MIL was so impressed with it, she bought one too. I think a different brand, but same premise. We both doubted its ability to pick up all the dog hair (her dog is at our house frequently and has longer hair) but it really does an amazing job. I would recommend it for anyone with pets. I don't have pets but OMG the crumbs in the kitchen. And no matter how frequently and well you sweep, brooms never get 100% of the crumbs. I would like a robot vacuum to cruise around the kitchen a few times a day instead of me. I love this vacuum for our wood and tile floors. There's a newer model but I have this version and it's worked great for 5 years. I never use a broom anymore. www.amazon.com/Hoover-Cleaner-Cyclonic-Lightweight-SH20030/dp/B003ZYPZ0I/ref=sr_1_5?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1533010069&sr=1-5&keywords=hoover+linx&dpID=31-Kc2I3i9L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

Some of my youtubers use pledge and some use these e cloths that all you need to do is wet it to use. There is one for stainless steel evidently.

Also the ones that get the natural cleaners and stuff have codes for grove collaborative too so just let me know.

I use a Mr clean sponge to clean my tub and bath walls while I wait for my conditioner to do its thing. I hate just standing there so I clean. I have a toothbrush I take in there to clean corners of little small spaces. Lol #multitasking This is when I shave and lather up...do other people just stand there waiting? (shampoo needs no setting time so I knock that out quickly first)

My mom taught me if you can't get off the last bits of glue, for example TJMaxx only puts their fucking price stickers on the glass part of the picture frame, use olive oil to get it off. Then a quick dawn to get the oil off.

(shampoo needs no setting time so I knock that out quickly first) I don't usually wear conditioner. I have straight oily hair. So usually either only shampoo or a shampoo plus conditioner work for me. But once I week, usually on a weekend, I'll do a conditioner treatment and while I wait for that, I like to clean up in there. I don't do it all the time. Just my way of multitasking. I shave my legs everyday though. But that doesn't take a ton of time.

The 5 min is usually enough to exfoliate my legs and do a quick tub scrub.

I just finished organizing all of C's toys. I got rid of the toy box/chest because it was really just a catch all for toys and she hardly played with the toys at the bottom. I put all the stuffed animals in one of these storage beam bags. Same color and pattern. I have an 8 cube and a 4 cube kallax from IKEA. Each cube is organized in some fashion. Now that she can actually see her toys, she plays with them all. Sort of like this. I have a deep passion for organization.

miawallace we recently switched to the IKEA shelves for toys instead of the toy chest and it is so much better. Plus it’s so much easier for him to put away his toys at the end of the day.

And as you guys can tell I maximized the toy cube thing with the tv. Apartment living sort of forces you to maximize your spaces. I like the challenge though.

Sooo for everyone who has the robot vacuum, do you have dogs that don't attack a regular vacuum? Like we legit can't even have Frank in the room if we are vacuuming because he will try to eat it. I would LOVE a robot vac but I fear he'd lose his shit.
