J is a horrible napper. He has always been a bad napper at home and was good at daycare for a few months. Now he is a bad napper at daycare, as well.
Has anyone sleep trained for naps? What did you do?

Faith's naps are crap at daycare (but it could also just be the transition) but usually better at home. I have no advice but to keep trying.
We have no plans this weekend. Part of me wants to do a lot of projects and part of me wants to do absolutely NOTHING.

We are a bad napper, period!
Liv woke up at 1 with a fever. My big is a bit sniffly but I'm not sure if Liv is sick or teething. Her temp was 100, she's a bit snotty, but she's chewing on her fingers like crazy tho which is what makes me wonder if it's just teeth.
Today we're just hanging and tidying around the house.
Next weekend we have a bday party, the 18th mh is skydiving for his birthday, the weekend after is a secret party for a friend. Then it's September. 😱 where is time going???

Proudly bringing up the rear of our BMB, miss O is 5 months old today! She can now sit up unsupported although a bit wobbly! She's bouncing in her Jumperoo and she sticks out her tongue on purpose, so we're much closer to being ready for solids at 6 months!

We are heading to the zoo today and I may melt there. DD1 is going to love it though so hopefully it’s worth it. I took B’s 7 month pic this morning and she only wanted to watch her sister so here it is 😂

DD and I made a trip to Target and the grocery store this morning. We're having some friends over this afternoon for swimming and burgers. We are a bad napper here too. She has serious FOMO. I'm trying to wear her out in her jumperoo so we get some kind of nap today.

We also have no plans outside the home today, for the first Saturday in like..2 months? I don’t even know. It’s kind of exciting though lol. Even though our plans are to clean vehicles. Haha! We bought a truck this week so want to clean and empty out the car to list it and give the van a much needed interior clean while we are at it!

Hi everyone! We got home from our vacation yesterday afternoon. So we’ve been working on getting ourselves back home and settled and unpacked. We have to go grocery shopping in a little bit once the girls wake up from their naps. DD1 has been a wild child today... I’m trying to cut her some slack since we just had a very busy and crazy week away. But holy fresh hell. We had an awesome week away. It was hot and humid AF and we were in a house with no AC. It was right on the ocean so we had a decent breeze but that didn’t help the humidity at all. Dd2 cut 2 more teeth while on vacation, for a total of 6 teeth now! And she turned 6m on Tuesday (I’ll hopefully get to her 6m pic soon haha) Here’s a cute one of my little chunk at the beach yesterday instead:

I put peanut butter on N’s rice cake last night and all was well so yay! I assumed as much since I and the kids regularly eat it, but it’s nice to know for sure.

I don’t want to be that person but it can take multiple exposures before an intolerance shows!!! My big had had peanut butter 2 times before she broke out in hives.

We had extended family photos this morning! It was our first time with a professional photographer and I’m very excited to see how they came out.

Our allergist told us, once DD1 passed her food challenge, to give O pb at 6mo and then make it a weekly part of her diet to ensure she's getting continued exposure.

Also, I feel we’re behind on solids. I’ve given her avocado, banana and applesauce, and she is just not interested. She’ll mush it around on her tray, but doesn’t try to eat it. And if I put some in her mouth she just spits it out. So different from DD1 who put all the foods in her mouth!

F was like that for a few weeks, we kept trying when I remembered to give her some then I gave up and just started sending it to day care. lol She now will eat a full Gerber container (the plastic kind that come in a two pack) once a day. We've worked our way through all the veggies and I think all of the fruits and no reaction that I can tell. She is just now 6 months.

DH spent 7 hours playing volleyball with coworkers and it took me 6 hours to get the kitchen clean (and I haven't even done the floors yet). It wasn't that it was that dirty, it was that I was constantly going to see why Faith was not happy, trying to get her to nap (which resulted in me napping with her on the couch for 3 hours. Oops) and repeating everything. But dinner is in the crockpot and EVERY SINGLE BOTTLE we own is clean. That happens about once every 2 months... lol

Dd2 started out loving it but then hated it while on the abx for her ear infection. I wasn’t pushing it bc of the whole GI upset side effect from the abx. But since she’s been done I’ve been playing around with more textures rather than purées. She HATES puréed banana but looooves mushed up fresh banana. So I just got some sweet potato and butternut squash to do more of a BLW approach with her.

In fact the past few times he seemed to dislike it! Maybe he doesn't like purees? I'm not sure what food to try next.

I was scared of BLW but was forced to do it so we started late, maybe 7 months? BLW was a huge success.

Mastitis has still got me down. It’s beautiful weather and the only weekend all summer we weren’t over planned so I’m sulking about being laid up in bed. Toddler stomp! pinkcat thank you for your nice post yesterday! No big troubles in life. Just a stressful period in work + no napper and fairly regular poor night sleeper baby and my other kids. This too shall pass! But thank you for asking.

In similar regard, DD2 had Earth’s Best baby oatmeal three days in a row. We moved onto a veggie. A week or so later we came back to oatmeal. She had an FPIES like reaction. Two hours after ingesting it she began to vomit and pass out. It took a couple more instances to pin point it to anything Earth’s Best brand. I was so convinced it wasn’t that, because she had eaten the oatmeal three straight days with no reaction.

Yes, multiple exposures esp when you move on and come back are the culprit! Dd1 had had pb twice : once at 5mo, again at 7mo, and it wasn't until i tried it at 13mo that anything showed up. By the way, she also adamantly refused it. I had it on crackers. She had been sick and I wanted to give her a good protein source.

Hi! Sorry I haven’t stopped by here. Yesterday I was busy all day. I went to work for a few hours in the morning. Then I came home to have lunch with MH and the kiddos. At 1 my dad picked me up to go to a concert with him, my stepmom and little brother. The concert was in Atlantic City which is 2 hours away. With traffic it took us 3 hours. I got home around 1:15 this morning
Today I have to go to the grocery store, MH wants to run two errands and then dinner with my family this evening. I’m so tired.

We’ve been on the run since Thursday and I’m exhausted but had a wonderful time spending it with my family. I’m so happy DS1 is starting to change his behavior, it’s made everyone so much happier.
Today I need to do a ton of cleaning but have no idea where to start. I also need to figure out glasses for DS1 since we just found out he needs them and I want up get them started before school starts.
