jewels the crayola bath drops have worked for us and LO has sensitive skin. They also don't stain. This also has been a hit

@klongoria my kid wanting a violin is stuff from my nightmares, it takes 10 years or so to sound even remotely acceptable 😂😂😂. Yeah this is where I’m at. Thanks but no thanks. My cousin has played the sax for years and it was such torture listening to him until he got to like, high school. I can’t imagine having to listen to ‘practice’ (or just a 5 y.o. messing around on it ) on a daily basis.

Hi from somewhere in Delaware. Our hotel is about 90 miles away in PA. I’m glad we started today to get a chunk of the drive under our belts, but leaving at 2 reminded me how much I prefer driving with the kids early in the morning 😜 Fortunately they are both currently sleeping, which probably doesn’t bode well for our night in said hotel! Might need to stop for some Benadryl lol

Did anyone here play an instrument?
DH played the viola for quite some time growing up. He just told me, “I was good enough to be second chair...but there were only two of us in the entire school that played it”. Hardy har har.
I took piano for a few years but once I started rowing piano fell by the wayside. I’m glad I had the chance to learn to read music, though.

No instrument here other than the little they teach you in school and I got my own cheap keyboard and recorder to practice at home. I'm sure the recorder especially was music to my mother's ears. We have a nice quality 88-keyboard now. I'm going to encourage the girls to play that. Their school used to have a ukulele club but the teacher retired so I'm not sure if it's still around.

We'll, I'm taking Martha back to the vet. Her little self can't seem to kick this infection. Came home today and one of her eyes was sealed shut and her nose was clogged and covered in boogers. I think she needs antibiotics now. Sunshine and LJ are both over it.
Took Cadence to the library and renewed my card and got her one for herself.

Lots of completions, which I hated, and my teacher knew I loved ballet more. She finally stopped making me compete and just let me pick out my own music. I played in college, too. I haven’t played since then though. I was pretty good so it makes me a bit sad. I’d love for M to learn to play. Music is supposed to help with math, too.

I played the flute in elementary and middle school, but ditched it for a capella in high school. I picked it up super easily though. My brother (violin and later the guitar) and sister (clarinet) did, too. My Dad played the guitar and drums, so it might be genetic?

Has anyone had experience with HFM that only presented itself on the butt? Chase's class has a confirmed case and his butt is covered in red dots. He's had some on his lower abdominal area for the last few days and one developed a pretty serious head. We've had no experience with HFM at all (I know, freakish) so I'm not sure what to expect.
ETA: he's rashy behind the knees and elbows too. I'm screwed, right?

I played the clarinet briefly. I was kicked out of band I sucked so bad. Oddly Dh was also kicked out of band at the same time. If being musically inclined is genetic, C doesn’t stand a chance.

I don't play anything, but my plays guitar, drums, bass, and enough keyboard to record music. Cadence is interested in the drums and singing, and now apparently the violin.

@slene I was at the pool tonight and I swear your ds was there. There was a field there that looked like her and was also dancing instead of kicking for swim lessons

In my search for the one I bought on amazon, I saw that there is one of the same brand that is more cotton material. The one I bought is water resistant and wipeable, so maybe that is where I went wrong? I'll check out the ones at Target, klong11. Thanks. @ladeedah, I have the same brand for L, but it is cotton material. And it has lasted him over 3 years so far! I just bought another for A because she is leaving infants and going to the transition room. *sniff* Great. I think I’ll try that one. Thanks! I kind of want to get another for M, but he only had to use it 1 more year, so I don’t think I should.

I didn’t play anything. MH played saxophone and picked up piano in high school to play with one his friends for a talent show. My SIL played piano for years, so it wasn’t that hard for MH to pick up for a show.
M loves all instruments. Especially drums. I’ll probably be putting him in lessons in the next year. He watches drummers on YouTube and has picked up a few things from it.

I didn't play any instruments, but did sing a lot, was in Madrigals for 3 years. And evie loves to sing, so I'll definitely encourage her.

I took piano lessons for a couple months in elementary school, and then in middle school I played clarinet for a year. I was not a big fan of practicing and my parents didn’t make me. Now I wish they would have. ETA: DH can play piano, drums, bass guitar and possibly regular guitar (I can’t remember for sure).

Mh has played the drums since he was 9-10... Dh’s set is way to big for ds and he has been talking about getting drums for himself for a loooong time now. Guess we need to sound prove the attic...

I am musically challenged.. I took piano lessons in high school so I could play a song for my dad for fathers day. My teacher said I was not teachable 🤷♀️

I had a fairly good ear for music. Can't sing but I played the piano through elementary school and played the clarinet till I was like 16. I was always 2nd chair and literally never practiced. But I didn't love it and I quit as soon as I had the chance (both piano and clarinet). I can't sing to save my life, although I enjoy singing and torturing MH and kids with my terrible voice Both MH and I have a lot of musical talent in our families. My grandfather played flute in an orchestra till he was too old to have the lunch control (well into his 80s) and both my uncles still play instruments. My BIL is one of the best guitar players I've ever heard, and he makes a living playing it. I secretly think that B might have inherited some of it. Music moves him in a way that seems different than other little kids. ETA Lung control, not lunch...

I have zero musical ability and zero rhythm to go with it. That being said I'm the first one to sing along loudly and the first to get on the dance floor. I just love it.
