LOL. Y'all realize mountain lions are like, wild animals who can kill you, right? They're not just oversized tabby cats.

My sister’s neighbor accidentally left her minivan door open overnight last week and came out to a skunk sitting in the backseat. She somehow calmly convinced it to get out without spraying.

Dh is deathly afraid of skunks. I’m going to tell him this story to see his face. He was cleaning up trash an animal got into recently and a neighbor yelled that they saw a skunk over near there the night before. He jumped in his car and drove away texting me why he left the trash. Fucker. But hilarious at the same time.

The birthday/Christmas gift idea board I keep on Pinterest has exploded tonight. I'm not buying yet, but it really is so fun to shop for the kiddos as they get older. I think my H thinks I'm officially nuts, but only 5 months til Christmas...

Hi!
A lazy day here, much needed recuperation after too much for the kids so far this week. We got a walk on the boardwalk and then tried to go to the aquarium, but there was an insane line to get in, and the kids both fell asleep on the way home. MH and uncle took j for a haircut at the barber shop my uncle has gone to for decades and it's way too short, but he had fun. Tomorrow looks like a decent beach day🤞🤞 and then doing the boardwalk tomorrow night.
And now I'm finishing my stupid discussion post for my class, since school haunts me even on vacation, boo.

We did a family trip to urgent care today because my son's tonsils were huge and red/patchy, and the Evie went down for the count this afternoon with a fever. Since Theo also had a fever this past weekend, I brought them all in to rule out strep. DNW an infant with a high fever. Luckily it isn't strep, but on the way out the doc said she's seen a lot of HFM going around and to keep an eye on them for that. Annnnnd, I just thought of something worse than an infant with a fever 😬

We ended up going to DH’s softball game tonight. Got home and thought my house felt warm, sure enough it said 75. I think the a/c froze up again. So I turned it off and now I have the windows open. It’s 71 our right now but is supposed to get down to like 59 tonight. I’m also annoyed that the basement still isn’t finished. Part of the problem with the a/c is that there is still so much dust down their and it gets sucked into the return vents. I guess I just need to win the lotto so we can get it finished.

Some guy from my school used his pet skunk for his dissertation. Pet therapy or something or other. It was in Portland so there were probably plenty of crunchy hippies who would sign up for that.

I just got home ftom taekwondo. It's really hot and sweaty there because there's no AC. I look in the mirror and saw that my hot pink sports bra that has been washed probably 100 times bled all through my shirt. 😳

I’m laughing at this because 75 is colder than our house gets probably 9 months out of the year. We keep our ac at 82 and still have an insanely huge electric bill. I’m jealous of your 71 right now.

We keep ours around 78/79 when we sleep and a few degrees cooler during the day.

Ours is at 75/76, unless we aren't home, then it goes up to 78. Mh had it going up into the 80s during the day while we were gone, but I put a stop to that because it was taking too long for the house to cool down after we got home. Plus, I didn't think that was very comfortable for the cats.

I went to a kitchen supply place to see them in person and I love the stainless but with all my stainless appliances felt like it would be over kill. So I went with white porcelain.
