I heard back from the vet already and I'm trying not to get myself worked up or cry. Luna's liver values are elevated, so they want to do a sonogram, I'll drop her off tomorrow for that. The vets concerns are cancer or her gallbladder.

I'm sorry mwhip . How old did you say she was? She's 12 or 13...I don't really remember which is terrible. But when I was getting divorced, things were crazy and I kind of lost track. I'm thinking about calling my old vet and seeing how far back their records go, just because I hate not knowing. She's had a great life. I adopted her from a humane society as a puppy, she was covered in fleas, and was totally not what we went in for. But she's been the sweetest thing ever. She's been with me through my separation and divorce from my ex, dating, getting remarried and Evie. She has been the one constant in all the major ups and downs in my adult recent life and I hate this. I'm hopeful it's nothing serious, but her quick weight loss and age, I know I'm probably being delusional. ETA She's 12, I called our old vet and they had records that we brought her in for the first time in 2006. |

mwhip I hope it is something that can be treated with meds. I wish our pets could stay with us forever, it just isn't fair.

peachsmama, this is going to sound weird, but I was thinking of peach's teeth this morning. I know, weird. Did you say you were going to get a second opinion on all the dental work your dentist said he needed? Root canals seem odd for a patient so young.

I downloaded some educational apps onto the tablet Cadence uses. After watching her on them I'm no longer worried about her abilities. I guess it just depends on how it is presented to her and what time of day it is.

peachsmama , this is going to sound weird, but I was thinking of peach's teeth this morning. I know, weird. Did you say you were going to get a second opinion on all the dental work your dentist said he needed? Root canals seem odd for a patient so young. This is the 3rd opinion.. His normal dentist thought it was just 2 fillings, the next dentist discovered it was worse as he was drilling and put in a temporary filling. This dentist thinks it's 5 plus the root canal. But when they put him out they will do x-rays and go from there. |

Morning! I was out of KCups this morning so we had to make a Dunkin' stop.  C and I are home and she's enjoying her 2nd breakfast while I finish waking up with caffeine. Just packing and cleaning on my agenda this morning. It's still raining here so not much we can do otherwise! eta: the lead teacher at camp this morning told me B has been "an absolute pleasure" and "a delight" this week. LOL. Glad he's been delightful for somebody! I have never looked forward to bedtime so much as I have the last couple nights. |

Morning! I just dropped my baby off at daycare in underwear... when did he get so big?! He’s really taken to the potty training thing pretty quickly, I’m shocked. We’ll see how today goes.
Leaving work a little early today and heading into the cities with some friends for happy hour and dinner. It’s a big group of ladies and there’s always some sort of drama between a few people so I’ll just focus on my delicious and wine and try and stay out of it.

I'm supposed to have a girls night tonight as well, but I cancelled. My work days are tough because MH's work recently moved and he has a long commute now. He gets in late on my work days because he has to get the kids ready and dropped off in the morning. I'd probably make it work, but I did have a girls night last week and have one next week as well.

MH just called and said M woke up with a fever. His voice was getting raspy last night and he was sniffing a lot. I gave him zyrtec and was hoping that took care of it. He's acting normal, so I told him to give it an hour and check his temp again before he calls to bring him in to the pedi.

So many hugs mwhip. My heart hurts for you. Good morning. I’m tired. Jello is still coughing a lot, but seems fine otherwise. C was super restless all night, I’m assuming from her shots yesterday. We’re heading to the gym and the swim lessons and then my parents pool. We’re having my parents a their friends over for pizza and drinks tonight, so at least I don’t have to think about cooking! |

Oh, and my parents called me at 6am, waking up me and C, to ask for directions to a breakfast place I recommended. They called me from THEIR IPHONE. That they could have used to look up directions. 🤦🏼♀️

Charlie doesn't sit on the potty but is more vocal/aware than Josie was at that age (and even when she was significantly older). She trained late at 3 yr 3 months, but then we never looked back. I was aiming for next spring/summer with C.

Morning all!
Just getting back to work and into my normal routine. My vacation was, for the most part, pretty good. Had a good golf day out with my Mom on the anniversary for my Dad, my SIL came for 5 days and we had a blast, did a few things around the city. MH went back to work on Monday and I took the day off to just be by myself and chill.
I hope everyone is doing well, and I'm off to catch up...

I called in today. I’ve never done that before so it was a bit odd. I’m catching up on laundry and cleaning and I have a few errands to run. I’ll probably make dinner for tomorrow night so all I have to do is heat it up when we get home.
I’d really like to sit on my ass and watch tv but I look around and see too much shit that needs to get done.
