Thank you so much for the kind support. Baby is measuring a day ahead, heart beat 180, evidence of a new small bleed. (I had been nervous because what looked like an SCH at 6 weeks actually was a second gestation that was lost that they saw at 7 weeks so I didn't think I would still bleed). It's such a roller coaster. But feeling very thankful.

sunshiney, So glad you and baby are ok! Well, yesterday ended worse than I could've imagined. We went on a Target run yesterday after I got off work and came back to find the dogs in the house. We let them have access to the laundry room only when we're gone because it's air conditioned and cool during the day but they can't destroy anything in there. H got 3 of the dogs outside but not my corgi Skittle which isn't unusual. She likes to hide out in our room so that she doesn't have to go back outside. He called for her and she never showed up so he thought maybe she was still outside. He found her in a corner of our yard, dead. We immediately thought it must have been a dog fight because there was some blood but he couldn't find any puncture wounds so he rushed her into his work and the vet there determined she must have had a seizure or stroke. Her body had a lot of trauma to it but again, no puncture marks. They think it's possible the trauma was caused by the other dogs trying to wake her up. She had access to plenty of water but they think either the seizure or stroke, probably due to the heat, initially did her in or it made her incapable of walking and she couldn't get out of the heat to the water. She was only 3 and my heart is broken. In fact, she was a gift from a dear friend when I lost my first corgi prematurely to kidney failure.

Oh my gosh thelittleredm. Losing a beloved pet is devastating always, but the shock of having it happen when they are so young. I am so sorry.

k both nurse and RE had only encouragement to say, they didn't recommend pelvic rest (except when currently bleeding). Tomorrow is my first appt with the OB so I think they suspect I exaggerated it to get one last scan in actually. But every time I've had bleeding it's within 24 hrs of sex so I am probably going to just say no until 2nd trimester. Which is truly miserable so I can't even think about it. I also did a few hours of walking yesterday so I'm going to just take it easy for a while.

Foxy My MIL stayed with us for a week after DS was born. I adore her, but I was definitely ready to have the house to myself and get into a routine with my new baby. I gently let her know that I was incredibly thankful for her help, but that I was ready to do things on my own. If your MIL is a little overbearing, you will probably have to set a firm boundary if her visiting will cause more stress than it’s worth. TashaLa Ugh, that sucks about the swim suit. Can you dispute the charge with your credit card company or bank? sunshiney Great news! FX the spotting stops soon. It’s so unnerving. My SCH also made itself known after a few hours of walking, so I’m trying to take it easy as well. Oh, thelittleredm I’m so sorry for your loss. What a shock and a heartbreak.

One of my patients today pointed to my stomach and said “baby?”. I guess that’s what I get for worrying about my bump size yesterday.

I haven’t told work yet and they probably all think I am just getting fat lol that’s a pretty risky game your patient played though... I feel like no matter how sure I was someone was pregnant I would be afraid to ask!

I feel like no matter how sure I was someone was pregnant I would be afraid to ask! Definitely risky! We were at a wedding two weekends ago (the day I hit 12 weeks) and I was chatting with someone I had never met before, who asked me about the baby. She immediately said, "Sorry, normally I wouldn't say anything but I think it's pretty clear that's all baby" (gesturing toward my stomach). A nice comment actually but I was kind of shocked. To be fair I was wearing a flattering maternity dress fully intending to accentuate the emerging bump but still! I would have been too nervous to say anything.

I forgot to tell you guys, my OB called the other day about my genetic screening results. Everything is normal range; 1 in 4700 for Downs, 1 in 10,000 for Trisomy 18. The nuchal measurements were normal at the scan but it's always nice to have the confirmation.

I am a little nervous about the rate of false positives and it might all be for nothing anyway because I don’t think my insurance covers it and I’m not worried enough to pay out a lot for it. 🤷♀️ did yours cover it?

strawberrykiki, not dashook but mine wasn't covered because I was under 35 and no risk factors, but the OB's office had a deal set up with one of the test labs (Harmony I think) where you'd only be charged $120 if denied by insurance. I thought it was money well spent. I would not pay $1000+ though.

I feel like no matter how sure I was someone was pregnant I would be afraid to ask! This was a brain injury patient and she has no filter ☺️. After I told her why yes, there is actually a baby in there, we discussed that it’s never appropriate to say that 😊.

One of my patients today pointed to my stomach and said “baby?”. I guess that’s what I get for worrying about my bump size yesterday. Three different people did double takes at my stomach yesterday. Two of them asked me how I was feeling in a very pointed tone. I’m definitely not ready to say anything, but I only have so many flow-y shirts...

I got the basic one that is covered by insurance. The Panorama/Harmony, etc. would have cost me like $350 OOP because I am under 35 and had no other risk factors.

sunshiney glad you got good news today, how scary! Fingers crossed for uneventful weeks to come CharlieB I’m hopeful PayPal will be able to help me out. Luckily it was just one thing, I was tempted to buy a bunch more but held back k I feel like my patients are starting to have questions. Today I was stretching someone and felt my belly start to poke at them. I forget what I did as I got bigger with DD LOL
