What is Alvya.Joi? I feel like I have dyslexia. That's the one that bothers you most? Not GENERAL? That one is definitely my bugaboo too.

I'm filling out registration forms for sports. There is one Nevaeh but the parents have spelled it NevEAh twice and NevAEh once on three different forms. Like... you don't remember it's heaven backwards? I'm laughin'

He and his mother claim that I'm spelling it wrong, it should be Carsson. Except I said something to preschool and they said his application forms and medical records spell it Carrson.

Like... you don't remember it's heaven backwards? I'm laughin' I have a current student with this name and I'll admit I misspell her name like 50% of the time, unintentionally. My brain just isn't wired for the obtuse names. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

I literally came here specifically for this thread. Hunter- girl Kayson- boy Winter- boy River Wayne- I assume it's a girl, because River, but not sure. Sex was not listed. Rylynn- girl Jaxxon- boy Andromeda- girl Can you tell I'm currently immersed in a name thread in a mom group. Goldmine I tell ya. I know a cute little boy River... and I don't hate it. #FFSC All the Rivers I know are boys. I don't like it for either sex.

I'll come sit with you. I could get on board with a little girl called Winter. I don't have a problem with Andromeda, but I would almost certainly call her Andie.

I have an Andr.omeda Its a real name that I get many compliments on. I get the side-eye from older folks some, but oh well. Definitely not everyone's style;)

Not on social media, but when my son was in the NICU, next to him was a premie named La-a (pronounced La Dash Ah) - every single day the doctors did rounds and would laugh at this poor child's name 🤦♀️

Not on social media, but when my son was in the NICU, next to him was a premie named La-a (pronounced La Dash Ah) - every single day the doctors did rounds and would laugh at this poor child's name 🤦♀️ This is a common racist urban myth. Also a big reason why others here have a problem with this board. Wow... didn't think I was stirring the pot with that one - a few things here... it's not a myth (at least in this circumstance) and the NICU volunteers put up tons of signs at each baby's bed/area with their names/handprints/footprints/etc so yes I'm sure that was the baby's name. I have no reason to make that up. Also, your comment seems to imply that I'm racist... I didn't mention race whatsoever but it just so happens this baby was white. And with that, I'm just going to slowly back out of the BNB for now since it obviously brings up (unfounded IMO) emotions.
